Character Concept Kashrim is very kind and understanding, however she's slow to learn because of communication issues. She usually tries to smile as much as she can, and is eager to please those she encounters. She is very good with a lute and harp (and able with many others), and feels that that is the best way she can communicate. She has a goal to someday attend the University of Zeltiva to become a bard. She has never thought of leaving Zeltiva beyond the few trade routes she accompanied her mother on throughout Sylria. Character History Kashrim, an only child, was born a mute (she cannot speak, thus the communication issues). Therefore it was very difficult for her to befriend other children when she was younger, and she grew up very lonely. Her father, Herold, was a blacksmith and her mother, Vera, a merchant's assistant, so Kashrim lived between two very different lives, from which she hardly saw both parents at a time. Though not physically strong, her father was determined to teach her blacksmithing. Her mother, on the other hand, thought that learning math and art/music and the art of trade were more important than hammering steel. Kashrim leads a very simple life, even after moving into her own apartment. She visits her dad every day, as well as her mother when she docks.
