It's been a very long night. After dinner Arieya tried to convince her mother to cancel the wedding and just let her stay in Endrykas. She loved Avanthal, they only returned for fancy celebrations and to visit her brother. Arieya knows a lot about Avanthal and the great goddess Morwen; her mother never failed to talk about her. The great goddess rules over the city and has a love for the vantha people. Arieya would always love Avanthal but she's grew so close to the people in Endrykas it be hard for her to leave a few very good friends behind for some man. A man she has never met in her life.
"What about love mama, I need to experienced it." Arieya said that night during dinner.
Her mother didn't even bother to look up, she ate her food with a bored yet sad face. This wasn't the first night Arieya has been asking questions at supper time."You'll experience love when you marry the man child, in no time you will love him."
"What if I already found someone I loved?" Arieya knew that would get her parents attention. Everyone stopped eating and sat there, it was silent.
"Did you?" Her father asked, his voice a little muffled.
"Well, no." Arieya had a faint smile on get face, it was quite embarrassing. But the conversation ended there. She had nothing more to say and her parents didn't want to talk about it.
Arieya couldn't sleep. She tossed and turned, kicking the side of the tent she use to share with her brother when she was very young. She stopped kicking and turning and just sat there, gazing at the top of the tent. Her life was over. It was over before it even started. She would probably never get to see the rest of Mizahar or know what love really meant. Arieya would never get to the konti isle and pursue her dream of joining the opal order... she had a bucket list; but that stuff would never be pursued. The young girl did not mind dedicating her life to her people, tending to livestock and breeding animals for them. Dedicating her life to a man was a different story. A man she does not love or care for. Arieya would never love him. EVER.
She was done tossing and turning. She would have to take matter into her own hands. Arieya jolted out of her blankets, crouching as she exited the tent and sprinted to the horses. There was about five. Two males and three females, one being Rinna Tin Tin. A now retired mixed blood her dad has since he first started his breeding. Rinna was a lovely chesnut color with the rarest eye colors that changed. She was the perfect horse for vantha people.
It was Arieya's very first time on a horse and she doubt it would be her last. Without a yvas she climbed aboard the horse; it was a little uncomfortable to her because of her long dress but Arieya would not let that stop her. Where to go? She had to think fast as she made it through the woods in a fast trot.
Before she left she had to make a quick stop to a friend's house. Rue Nightsong was one of Arieya's few good friends. They had been friends ever since she stepped into Endrykas. As Arieya approached her family's tents she began to whisper her name." Hey, Rue!"
