Shayna Appearance Race:Human Gender:Female Age: 17 Birthday: 21 Spring 496 Birthplace:Kenash Physical Details:Small in stature, Shayna stands only five foot even, her diminutive height matched by her slenderness of body. Her weight is a simple 96 pounds, though she looks to be fed well enough. Her eyes are of a deep forest green, with a startling ring of onyx around the edge of the coloration, giving her an extraordinary wide-eyed gaze. A brand has been burned into the side of her neck, denoting her to be property of a Freeborn owner. Shayna's hair is long, deep midnight of color that contrasts with her pale skin, curling against all hopes of containment. A rash of freckles dot her nose and cheeks, marring her features just a little. Her lips were a little too wide, her chin a coming to a little point giving her face a slightly heart-shaped approach. Character Concept Shayna is a slave that was born a slave, so do not expect her to be openly involved in any revolting, at least not without something drastic happening. However she is not one to stay in the background. For a slave she has aspirations, perhaps to become a favored slave. A slave with ambitions can be in dangerous territory if the slave missteps, but Shayna is confident that her training will help her navigate those treacherous waters. Character History Born in Kenash, seventeen years ago Shayna spent her childhood and youth learning basics in many different areas. The bare basics in gardening, particularly the tobacco leaves and cotton. The basics in irrigation, in detecting if plants were molded, bug eaten, or if they were ripe for the picking. Her Masters insisted that she work in the fields simply to ensure that her hands and feet were calloused enough to prove to potential buyers that she could be an asset in the fields, but he also -as he did with all selling stock- ensured that she was well versed in appropriate conduct and behavior becoming of a slave. For Even though she was to be sold shortly after she was deemed mature enough, Shayna would reflect upon the Masters ability to sell quality well-bred slaves. Nothing of unusual happened in Shayna's short life, but that has the potential to change once she goes up on the Auction Block. In the Fall of 513 Shayna was purchased by Katherine Morealis who kept her as a Garden slave. During the season it was reinforced that her physical appearance was a liability to her ambitions. She also was caught in an unfortunate episode where innocent remarks were twisted in hopes of currying favor with their mistress, and a slave informed his mistress that Shayna knew something about the Rujaro. Shayna was stolen off the streets and kept for questioning. The questioning turned up nothing, for Shayna has nothing to do with the Rujaro, but has left a series of scars along her back, with two that lay upon the back of her left arm from an errant whip. Come Winter Shayna meets several new people, and ends up being resold to a Dhani. What lies in store for her this winter?
