Completed Knowledge from the Thumb (Xeona)

Savio was glad to see that the ghost wasn’t offended by the monk’s rude behavior, and readily agreed to practice a little bit in possession again. They got to their feet and walked over to an unoccupied area before Xeona carefully walked into Savio’s body once more.

Once again, Savio felt shoved to the side and crowded but he was slowly becoming used to the sensation. The cold was still a shock that he didn’t enjoy, though. Savio kept quiet in both thoughts and words so not to distract Xeona from his own training. The ghost experimented with moving various appendages such as his arms and legs. The motions seemed slow still but they were smoother. A thought crossed Savio’s mind quickly. Perhaps he should experiment on how far Xeona’s control could go.

With that in mind, his forced his body to lock up and prevent further motion but he didn’t push Xeona out. He just stood there. Naturally the ghost started to panic and sent questions to Savio though their little mental link.

“Don’t worry, I am just testing out a small theory. I wondered how much control you had over me, and it seems that even though I cannot move my own body, I can stop it completely from move while you are still inside.” Savio let his body go loose to allow Xeo to move around once again. Savio enjoyed learning new things, and his elation probably could be felt by Xeona. But in no way did he consider himself a Spiritist. That required formal training…Right? He didn’t have a teacher, all he had were books and his ghostly training partner.

Xeona was relieved when Savio's body started to respond to his movements again. Hadn't Xeona just read about just this specific thing? He felt stupid not remembering that tiny part of the text he just read. Savio seemed elated, however. But that feeling had something mixed with it. Unsureness. It was like Savio was having a battle with his own mind, and Xeona was the spectator. He decided to leave it be. He wasn't really interested in invading someone's privacy. At the moment.

After some more training, Xeona felt tired. He managed to get Savio's body over to where they sat before, made him sit down and then left his body. Xeona didn't feel the exhaustion as much as he had previous times they had practiced. This time, Xeona felt a bit more of a satisfactory feeling, like after a workout.

Xeona still didn't know, however, if Savio wanted to keep training. Only today, to their visit here, he had already discovered how to create Soulmist and how to keep his body from moving if Xeona tried to possess him. "Hey Savio, should we call it a day? Or do you think that there is still more to find here?" To Xeona, it didn't really matter. He decided that it was up to Savio if they should continue or not.

Savio was grateful that Xeona was kind enough to have them sit in a chair before he exited Savi’s body. The young man was left shivering and feeling extremely tired. He wondered if he would be able to make it back to the school in his current state of exhaustion. Perhaps making that Soulmist right before getting possessed had been a tad bit too much for someone who had only just started learning about Spiritism.

“Yeah, I think this should be it for today. C’mon, I might need you to make sure I stay awake long enough get home. I think I pushed myself too hard today.” With that, Savio stood up on wobbly legs and put the books away before leaving the Thumb. He would have to keep this in mind for next time they practice with Soulmist and possession. Damn, he ached all over.

Xeona nodded as Savio said that he was too tired to get home. It was fully understandable, he had trained a lot today. "Well, let me at least help you put back those books. It's the least I can do, making you exhausted and all." Strangely enough, Xeona didn't really feel as tired as when the two usually train. He still had lots of energy, probably thanks to Savio's produced Soulmist.

Placing the books back was harder than expected, probably because of Xeona not practicing his other abilities as much as he practiced Possession. After a while, however, the books were placed back at their previous locations, and Xeona followed Savio back towards the Iron Fist school. Savio was close to falling asleep a few times, but he managed to get back to the school awake. Xeona waved a good-night to Savio, and returned towards his own home.

I'd love to see more of Xeona's thought process! Though, that's really just a personal note as your writing is great, it'd be nice to see what's going on in the ghostly head of his. Good job on describing and working through the Possession! Though I awarded you points for materialization, your skill level is still pretty low, so maybe throw in some conscious effort needed to shift? Other than that, great job!

Fun thread overall, I thought. It explored the relationship between Savio and Xeona through training of skills and a little bit of dialogue. I'm looking forward to seeing where these two end up! Keep up the good work!
