The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Sayren's eyes scanned Sekai. Analyzing her movements after the small figured woman said she would make the first strike. She hesitated, which only gave Sayren more time to think up a strategy. The woman clumsily approached Sayren, the water probably didn't help her movements, since it was about waist deep. Which meant she couldn't quite rely on her kicks as much as she would like to. That left her with quick fist strikes. Which seemed alright, because she didn't want to hurt the girl, just smack her around a little to get an idea on what she was dealing with.

A messy punch was thrown. It was off balanced and awkward. The girl must either have no real unarmed combat experience or was just off from the water obstructing her movements. With that in min, Sayren used her left arm and slapped Sekai's right arm down toward's Sayren's right. Deflecting the initial strike away from her so she could use the motion to then give Sekai an open palmed hit with her right hand towards Sekai's left shoulder.

If the girl had approached this in the manner Sayren had hoped for, the girl would most likely try to strike with her left. Mainly because kicking wasn't going to be fast enough. And because of that, striking at the shoulder so quickly would at least push her back a little, not really doing any more damage than an enforced slap. If the attack followed through or was somehow missed, Sayren would bring her left arm back up into a defensive position and draw her fist back down to her side. Awaiting for the girl's next move. "Nice punch. A little meaty, but a little bit of training can change that."

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Postby Sekai on November 8th, 2013, 5:19 am

With her fist being diverted, Sekai's eyes widened, and was unable to react fast enough to prepare herself against the palm strike against her shoulder. Flailing as she was pushed back, she moved back her left foot, attempting to stabilize herself. However, forgetting to account for the slower movements due to the water, she ended up I balancing herself further, and fell backwards onto her rear. Brushing the water out of her eyes, she stood up, this time taking more care in her movements until she was standing, she eyed Sayren cautiously.

"A little training? I never practiced unarmed combat, so I'm rather surprise you would recommend only a little.", Sekai responded to the other woman's remark about her punch. However, from what she had overheard before, civilians are unable to have a sword amongst their possessions. So, of course she would be unable to ask for a sparring battle of blades.

She waited a few moments to think, before using her left fist to throw another clumsy strike, this time aimed for the right side of Sayren's torso. Following up, she would swing with her right, aiming at the stomach area once again. That is, if she wasn't stopped during the first strike, or prevented from launching or landing the second strike.

Sayren tried to hold back a giggle as the girl fell backwards. Losing her balance from the push that Sayren had given her. Thankfully, that didn't keep her down for long. After all, it was only a forceful slap at most. The girl was grateful for Sayren's praise, having admitted that she never had any sort of unarmed combat training. It wasn't difficult to perceive.

"It's how I like to train. A little praise with an adjustment goes a long way when going into training. A person can swing a sword over a hundred times, it doesn't mean they're swinging it in the best way. In combat, there's no right or wrong way, but there is a difference between what's effective, and what's not effective."

The girl tried to give another ditzy swing. Sayren gave a small smirk as she grasped Sekai's left wrist with her left hand, pulling into a close embrace. "You have the tenacity. Just not the skill behind it." Her smirk shifting to a grin as Sekai's head was just about wedged in her bosom. The force of Sayren's pull had seemed to bring the girl off balance. "Enjoying the sight? Can play with them later when you beat me."

With that, Sayren sweeped Sekai off her feet with her right leg. Following that, Sayren caught the girl by her hip with her right hand. Kneeling down and placing the girl above her knee as her wet lochs covered their faces. Sayren chewed on her lip. My she was cute...

She gulped for a moment before trying to distract herself once more, "So um...a better punch. The best way you wanna do those, especially in a place like Nyka. Is a quick jab. If you raw your fist back, it gives too much time for your opponent to counter when you draw back." Sayren's eyes now searched through Sekai's. Those eyes were so big. "So...um...continue?"

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Postby Sekai on November 14th, 2013, 4:14 am

Much different from how I train..., Sekai thought when Sayren had told her how she trained herself. Compared to Sayren's, her own style of training was less graceful, and much more chaotic. If it works, then it's effective. If not, find a new way to make it work. However, her train of thought was interrupted, as her left hand was pulled, causing Sekai to tip forward unbalanced, and finding herself...at Sayren's bosom?! "Eh?!", she squeaked, her face bright shade of red, not at all helped by the comment of playing with them if she won.

Before she could respond in any way, or move for the matter, her feet was sweeper from under her by the taller woman. She had closed her eyes, and braced herself to fall under the surface of the water, but the fall ended shorter then she thought, and much more dryer. Snapping open her eyes, with the first thing she noticed being Sayren's face about a foot away, maybe even less. "...?", unable to emit a sound, she just continued to stare, wondering how it would feel if the other woman wins.

Finally pulling back and positioning herself backup her original position, Sekai listened carefully as Sayren gave her advice about throwing a punch. Give your opponent more time to react? If feints works for sword strikes, then perhaps it would work for punches.. With her strategy now set, she waited a moment, before attacking.

She started moving forward, once again drew back her left fist, before throwing it at Sayren, aiming for her left arm. However, her right hand moved two ticks after her left, throwing a strike towards the right shoulder. She would then stop, before any of the two strikes landed -whether out of her own volition, or prematurely by a block-, she pulled back her fists, while basically jumping at Sayren. However, this strategy would not be successful, of she was grabbed and/or immobilized during her double feints.

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Sayren gave the girl a chance to get to her feet. She didn't want to be completely unfair to the girl, considering Sayren had a bit more fighting experience then this girl from the looks of it. It took a few moments before the girl could finally get back to her feet. Another moment for the girl to decide on a move. Then act it out. The girl jolted a punch towards Sayren's left arm, Sayren quickly moved her arm to stop it, but the girl had stop short and flung her other fist at Sayren. A feint?! My my, Sayren thought. Least she knows how to deceive someone. However, before Sayren could react to the other punch, that one stopped short as well.

It made Sayren raise an eyebrow in confusion till she realized Sekai had flung herself at Sayren. It sent both girls falling into the water. Just what exactly was the girl thinking? Did she just underestimate the distance that badly? Or did she just overestimate the force she put behind her punches and made herself fall onto Sayren? Whatever the case, they were both submerged beneath the water.

Surprised by the jump, Sayren didn't think to hold her breath before they submerged. So she pushed Sekai to the side and lifted herself above the water. She began to cough as she gasped for air. She had taken a mouthful of water down the wrong pipe. Making her gasp for air even more so difficult. Unfortunate for Sayren, this did leave her at an opening.

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Postby Sekai on November 30th, 2013, 5:36 am

Bravo, well done. Throw yourself at your opponent, as if that was going to be useful., Sekai sighed mentally, during what could basically be counted as a tackle. However, when her tackle actually landed, she was surprised, but not so much that she didn't forget to hold her breath and close her eyes, before both herself and Sayren went beneath the surface of the water.

She had quickly moving back up, her head had broken the surface of the water, before Sayren had pushed her aside. Of course, being a curious person, Sekai attempted to vocally voice a question two ticks before submergence, with a "Wha-gugaguga?!". At least she hadn't inhaled any water, as she was exhaling it previously in an attempt to voice her surprise. Pushing herself back up above the surface, she took several deep breaths, allowing the oxygen her body needed to flow through her body once again. Recovery not taking too long, she stood up, before looking at Sayren. Presumably from taking in water down the wrong tube, she was still coughing.

Sekai knew that in combat, one should take every opportunity, to deal a blow, especially when said opponent is in such a vulnerable state. However, Sekai stayed her hand, and waited patiently for Sayren to recover, as Sayren had done so for Sekai, when the latter had tripped into the water from the earlier push. "Are you alright?", she would ask, when the coughing subsided.

Sayren raised an eyebrow at the girl. Sekai didn't take the opening opportunity. SHe even gave enough pause for Sayren to stop coughing before asking if she was okay. Sayren couldn't help but to laugh. "You are a strange one. Normally, anyone would've just lunged for a hit while I was otherwise occupied."

She wrapped her arms across her chest as she leaned on her right foot a little more than her left. Letting her knee crook so that her left foot was standing on her toes while her right foot was more planted to the ground. "Rather strange tactic too. Throwing yourself at the enemy? How did you come about that? Or was that merely a misjudging on your part?"

She now began to trudge forward through the water. It would've been a normal walk aside from the water swishing passed her legs with each passing step forward. She proceeded to do so until she stopped beside Sekai, attempting to use peripheral vision to observe Sekai's reaction. Sayren gave a quick shrug before vaulting a swift slap to Sekai's rear. "Left yourself open my dear." Following her action with a small giggle.

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Postby Sekai on January 19th, 2014, 9:21 pm

OOCSoooo sorry for lack of replies \(>.<)/

Sekai only gave a small shrug. "If not taking advantage of an opening is strange, I could say the same thing to you.", she responded with a small smile. Pausing for a moment, before adding, "You stayed your hand when I fell. Only fair that I do the same.", in a quiet tone.

As for her tactic of throwing herself at an opponent was also labelled as strange, Sekai could only shrug. "It was more of an...impulsive idea. Since I believed a feint wouldn't work, so I tried adding in an unusual attack.", she commented, before watching Sayren start walking closer.

No, more accurately, it was off to her side. Tilting her head slightly, as the taller woman stopped beside her, Sekai was definitely not prepared for a hand to contact her rear. "Higuuh?!", she squealed, her face quickly taking on a red blush, before she sat down in the water at near record speed. "Wha-what was that?!", she asked, her blush extremely visible, and everything below the neck submerged.

Sayren roared in laughter at the girl's reaction. She even lowered her head with a shake in disbelief. She offered her hand to Sekai. "I think our match is over for the time being. Come on. I think we're plenty wet enough for the day." If Sekai reached for her hand, Sayren would pull her up and bring her into a hug. If not, then Sayren would nod and walk away. "I'm not declaring myself the victor, but I'm not surrendering either. Just don't feel like turning you into a slave for a day." She says with a confident grin about her lips.

"However, if it bothers you that much." She would quickly reach for Sekai's arm, then pull her close for a brief kiss on the lips. "There. A victory kiss for us both." Followed by an outbreak of giggling. "Hurry now and don't be so daft. I'm sure your skin is well pruned now."

The Crossing of Wet Fists (Sekai)

Postby Sekai on February 18th, 2014, 6:06 am

OOCSorry for long delay!

Sekai slowly reached out to take ahold of the offered hand, and allowed herself to be pulled up. Of course, not expecting the hug, earning Sayren a blush. With the sparring match concluded, Sekai felt a tad bit...unfulfilled.

"Its true that we have been here awhile, but is it really alright to just end it without a clear resul-Mmph?!", she had started to protest, before her voice was suddenly muffle by the lips of Sayren, in an unexpected kiss. When their lips separated, Sekai's usual blush didn't appear yet. She was too surprised for it. After about several ticks, Sekai only nodded, agreeing with Sayren about getting out of the water.

However, if and when the taller woman exited the waist deep water of the Bathhouse and walked away, Sekai would fall to her knees, a blush reaching past her face, even up too the tips of her ears.

Lightly slapping her face several times, in a futile attempt to calm down. She sighed, before slowly getting up. As she quickly got herself dressed, she thought to herself a short thought, that brought a blush to her face once again. "Someday, we need to find out who the victor will be.", she whispered to herself.
