How did it come to this? She remembered closing her eyes to rest. But now...she was in some fields. The very same grass fields near Endrykas. And standing across from her. Were three familiar men. Two of them were her older twin brothers, Gravun and Yusu. Though their appearances were at one point similar, now they couldn't be much more different. But their Six foot and two inch height hasn't changed. Which kept them towering over Sayren.
Gravun was emblazoned with windmarks down his arms and his chest. His long blonde hair wisking through with the winds as his blue eyes gazed at his little sister in sorrow. He was wearing an average sleeveless tunic and set of trousers. Around his neck was a necklace with a diamond encrested in an emblem. He held out his sword to Sayren, "Please...don't make us do this...We just want you home..."
Beside him, was Yusu. His windmarks curved around his face and eyes. Then curved down his shoulders to the tips of his knuckles. His tunic was rather tight against his shoulders while his trousers sagged at his hips. His blonde hair was cut short, neatly trimmed about an inch off his skull. His eyes pierced over at Sayren as he raised his bow, he didn't have an arrow cocked, not yet anyways, but his fingers were flexing at his side. His quiver, stocked well with arrows, and gently waiting at his side. He had nothing to say to her, but Yusu was never a man of many words.
Then behind them...their father...Dangrie. Though he was aged in years, the man still stood proudly at about six feet and five inches. His gray mustache stretched to the corners of his upper lip. His gray lochs steadily flapping in the wind as his weary blue eyes gazed at Sayren. Neither giving her a look of pride nor disappointment. The man was covered in fine leather armor. Along with with a few jewels that dangled around his neck and wrists with silver and diamonds. But what was most fearful, was the battleaxe his hands were resting on. With dual-blade edges facing towards the ground.
"You shouldn't have come back Sayren..." Dangrie's voice boomed, "You dishonored me the night you left the village."
Sayren's eyes narrowed as she drew her longsword, taking a stance in front of them, "I came to show that you don't control me anymore father! I just wish Gravun and Yusu could see that too..."
Dangrie narrowed his eyes at her, "My sons are loyal to me. They follow their father's commands well, and without second thought. Like all-"
"You treat them like watchdogs!" Sayren shouted, "Hounding them against anyone that would say no to you! And you would have me do the same if I were a son, but I wasn't. I was born a woman, and you would've had me bred like some cow to birth yet another son for your-"
She was interrupted by the smashing of Dangrie's axe to the ground, "Enough of this! You are as great a failure as a woman as you were my daughter! Now it's time to discipline you! Gravun! Take care of this pathetic whelp that used to be your sister..."
Gravun's grip on his sword tensed as he closed his eyes. Taking a breath as he reopened them with determination blazing in his eyes, "I'm sorry Sayren...but you leave us with no choice..." And with that...he charged at her.
