[Ivory Aerie] Pillow Talk (Kovac, Alori)

Alori blinked, dotted spots flickering in front of her eyes while she tried to adjust to the dark. She could barely see them on the floor and that made her nervous because she wasn't sure who the guy was. The teen didn't move from her place, but her body was completely awake now and with the slightest of movements she could jump into action.

Hearing the voice again, it was unmistakeable, and she knew now that it was Kovac. But why had he been touching and kissing her? Perhaps the kiss had been in her dreams, she wasn't sure, but his hand inside her undergarments wasn't a dream, that was very real. "Gods Kovac." Alori said with a heavy sigh as she sat back on the bed. "You scared me, what were you doing?" It took her a moment for the idea to rise that he may have thought she was Lavira since she was in their bed.

If she had been awake, without being startled first, the girl might see the humor in his mistake, but now she was just sitting there with a somewhat blank stare. When Lavira moved to sit beside her, Alori glanced at her and could make out her form better now that her eyes had adjusted. "Yea I'm ok, but wow Vira, you kick like a mule."

Lavira seemed pretty upset, even after she learned it was Kovac and not some disgusting creep of a dek. Maybe she was thinking too much, or not enough, but it seemed that her fellow Endal wasn't too sure that it had been an accident. Alori was getting to know him more, and she didn't want to think he was that kind of guy. Not after her sister had just told her the heart warming story of how they got together. Either way, the snarky mongrel was in trouble now.

[Ivory Aerie] Pillow Talk (Kovac, Alori)

The chaos ended abruptly as Kovac's words sunk into the defensive Endal. Her raised fist softened, and the Avora sighed in relief as his lover slid off of him. He could see the shape of Lavira's slight figure kneeling beside him as she chastised him for scaring both she and Alori, who had skittered to the end of the bed, the girl's tossle-haired head barely visible at the edge of the crumpled blankets. Vira softly rose to sit beside her friend.

As they recovered, Kovac sat up, still on the floor. It was apparent by the sharp rebukes of the girls that they had been frightened, and now miffed. There was a heavy lack of words for a moment, then Lavira spoke, words that hinted at accusation, questioning the Avora. Kovac looked up at her in the obscurity, straining to see the redheaded woman.

"Pretend that it was an honest accident?" Kovac replied, his own irritation now spurred. "You honestly think that I would sneak into my own room, where I expect only you to be sleeping, and actively seek to fondle our friend as you slept right next to her? C'mon Vira, how bad do you think I am?" Kovac would always be a flirt, but he had remained markedly chaste since confessing his love for Lavira and moving in with her. The Endal had voiced an acceptance of the hunter's 'looser' nature, even willing to accept him pursuing his love for Euthisa. But the fact that the girl loved him so much that she would overlook his trysts only inspired Kovac to turn from them.

The Avora stood to his feet, brushing himself off. "I didn't come back with Mohya because I wanted to make sure I got credit for my kills and she didn't want to wait for me." The mongrel's tone was snippy, and after speaking, he sighed.

"Look, I am sorry I scared you Vira, and Alori, I am sorry I, well...you know." He stepped closer to the shapes of the girls on the bed. "I am tired as Hai, cold to my bones and all I wanted to do was to crawl into bed. Alori, if you can trust me, please stay, there is plenty of room. Three people make a bed warmer than two." The three of them were practically a family anyway, and if, great gods forbid, anything every happened to Lavira, Kovac could see he and Alori carrying on together.

Kovac reached out a hand, palm up, towards each girl, a request for forgiveness for the whole unfortunate incident.

The teens frown deepened as he began to speak, trying to explain what had happened. She really had no reason to be upset at him, once he'd said his piece. He hadn't expected Alori to be in their bed, let alone on her side; and the more she thought about what she'd seen, the more she figured that he hadn't intended to be doing what she'd seen. Maybe he'd just gotten tangled up when he realized it wasn't her? That seemed more logical than actually touching Alori in that way. With grudging acquiescence, she replied.

"No, it was an accident. I thought you were going to be home tomorrow and Alori'd come over for some girl time and I just asked her to stay. I hate sleeping alone." Here, the young woman looked aside, her cheeks red with shame and her gaze downcast. "The dreams area always worse then." Vira shifted on the bed, wanting to lean against her sister as if looking for support, morally speaking. "I didn't think you would be home early or I would've toughed it out. I let her sleep on my side because of that." Then in a grumbling tone, she lifted her eyes to his. The words weren't harsh, more of a casual complaint. "Besides, your side is softer and smells like you..."

When he finished the last bit, she looked askance at Alori, her head having to turn further than would have normally been needed to see her. She gave the other huntress a questioning look to see if she would accept. "Three are better than two. And you can use the bath in the morning..." The woman turned and took Kovac's hand, not pulling him to her, but pulling herself up so that she stood beside the taller hybrid. She turned her head into his shoulder once up, murmuring "I'm sorry I doubted you. Forgive me?"

The problem now was that all three (well, two and a half; Kovac could barely be counted) were wide awake, and what was more, it was probably nearing sunrise already. Shifting on her feet, she looked to the two. "What time is it anyways? I'm not used to being woken so early. I have a formations class at 7th bell and need to get the days meals for Tulaj and Qeeta before then." Kovac knew well his partners habit of being up a bell before sunrise and out the door on errands, work, or training by the time the first rays touched the mountain. There was just no stopping her without physically tying the young woman down.

"Guys, guys come on." Alori murmured still rubbing her head. There was no need to argue and she believed what he said. With a clearer mind she would remember that he'd had plenty of time in the past to try that kind of thing and hadn't, so for him to do so now, he must have been as drunk as a dek. But she didn't smell any alcohol and Kovac seemed like his usual self, besides the part where he almost ripped off her undergarments and Lavira almost killed him.

Everything else was normal.

Alori wouldn't allow herself to think of what might have happened if she had changed, and slept in nothing but a bed shirt like her sister did. If that had happened, admitting a mistake wouldn't have been good enough, especially since the teen was still innocent in the ways of sex. She watched them argue, and the thought that she might be the cause if bothered her. The little Endal wanted to say more, but she was still out of it.

"It's okay, really. I know I can trust you."

In a way, she wished they would stop talking about it. It was a mistake that was easily explained, but at the same time she felt that she might tease him for it later, if she remembered to. Smiling, she reached up a hand and gently touched his and leaned her head against Lavira's shoulder. And it was over, the whole tiny blow up gone and the two love birds were back snuggled up. Alori smiled at them, this was a much better sight and one she had come to see often.

The teen sighed heavily and flopped back onto the bed as if all of her strength had been zapped. Alori laid still in the bed, parts of the ruffled sheets covering her body, though most of figure was still in the open. Hazel eyes stared blankly at the ceiling and she sighed again. "Time? I don't think it matters, I can't sleep now. I'm so awake."

Once they all caught a breath, the strange events exacerbated by darkness and sleepiness seemed to come into perspective. Lavira's tone softened, explaining what was going on. Kovac was glad Alori did not leave Vira alone, the Avora knew her nightmares plagued her more fiercely when she was by herself. Alori too understood the confusion, reaching out to brush her hand against his offered one, affirming that she had forgiven him. But, if Kovac knew the smarmy huntress well enough, the unfortunate incident would come back to haunt him at her convenience.

Though unseen in the dim shadows, a tired smile graced Kovac's mouth when Lavira took his hand and stood close to him. His arm wrapped around her waist, his lips finding the crown of her mussed head and pressing a kiss against the silky strands. "I am sorry I was late Vira, and you don't need to apologize. Like you said, all an accident. I am glad to see that you are ready to defend yourself, and Alori, should the need arise."

The Avora looked to the dark shapes of the girls, whom he had awakened and now seemed unable to get back to sleep. "Well, my dears, I am tired and cold as Hai, and I need to get some sleep." He slid from Lavira's side and slipped into the bed, scooting over to his side, which now smelled wonderfully of his lover. "You are free to join me or be the good and proper Endals and start working before Syna's butt crack of dawn." Exhaustion allowed the nearly sacrilegeous jibe to slip from his lips. But the grin could be heard in his tired voice.

Vira barked a laugh at the cheesy joke of their caste and sun goddess, the noise loud in the quietness of their home. "I guess that means we're full of sunny shyke, huh?" She replied, taking the joke a little further, though watched him crawl warily into bed.

Once he was settled, she crawled back in as well, leaving enough room for Alori to slip in behind her, making Vira the monkey in the middle, as she snuggled up against Kovac, her back to him and her right hand pulling his over and around her for that comforting position she knew and loved. "I think I can salvage a couple more bells of rest before dawn." The teen sighed into it and let her body relax, watching her sister and listening to the noises of pre-dawn morn.

"Then you can come on some of my exercises, Alori. What do you think?" She meant some of the standard exercises her flight leader put her through for training, helping her acclimate to high-flight and the speeds that the birds could achieve at various altitudes.

[Ivory Aerie] Pillow Talk (Kovac, Alori)

Alori held in a giggle from Kovac's words, and she wondered if all guys were as easy going and laid back. Not ten chimes ago he was about to be killed by his own lover, and now he was ready to dose off as if nothing had happened. Even though it was an innocent mistake that didn't leave a bitter taste in anyone's mouth, the surprise of it all had she and Lavira wide awake.

Boys..

He had been right however, like a true Inartan sister, Lavira had jumped in to protect her sister from harm. Alori was proud of her and knew that she would do the same for her. It was odd at times, Alori being the older one, but the other Endal made her feel younger at times due to her mature and motherly nature. Alori laughed at the joke and turned her body slightly as one after the other the love birds slipped back into bed, putting her on the end.

She started to add to the joke, finding it funny that he mentioned Syna's butt crack went chimes ago he was very close to finding.. Alori curled her legs in and rolled onto her side away from the two. The teen forced her face into the pillow, anything to fight off the giggles and the urge to say it. As funny as it was, she didn't want to get him into real trouble with her sister.

"Yea I'm in, I can use a good work out." Then she burst into laughter. It was all just too much for the girl. "Ignore me, I'm just..nothing." she added with a sigh and rolled back towards Lavira, while hugging her pillow.
