This shining population center is considered the jewel of The Sylira Region. Home of the vast majority of Mizahar's population, Syliras is nestled in a quiet, sprawling valley on the shores of the Suvan Sea. [Lore]

The tavern was crowded, the room filled with the sounds of Mortimer Krakow's stories, the performer of the night, and the boisterous all-around cheer of the Broken Casket's patrons. Lyrri sat at a table- having been lucky enough to swoop in behind two gentleman carrying their drunken friend home- debating whether or not a fresh ale was worth her savings or her seat.
Well, it could wait. She looked up with her ever-present grin as she took in the place, sights and sounds not unlike that of the Herald's Arms- well, except perhaps for the Herald's harlots. She took to people-watching; a particularly slobbery drunk caught her attention and she rested her elbows on the table, hands under her chin, a contented glow of purple floating in her yellow eyes.
What to do tonight... ?

Sei walked through the doors in the Broken Casket, and smiled while he looked around for a seat. He grinned happily, and took a seat next to a familiar Vantha face. He sat quietly, and spoke cheerfully. "Hello Lyrri!" He said. He gave her a nod, and waved happily.
He put pulled out his Harmonica and flashed it in her face. He blew through it, all the way to the end, and filled the air with and echoing hum. He laughed cheerfully, and sighed."How was it?" |

She was torn from her task by a friendly- recognizable, even- voice. She looked toward it with surprise to see someone already sitting next to her. And who else, but Sei Tendo!
She fixed another of those wide grins on the man, one of very few familiar faces she had ever seen more than once. "Well, fancy meeting you here! How've you been?"
A harmonica appeared in her friend's hand. She looked at it in curious surprise, which changed quickly to cheerful wonder as he blew into it from end to end. It, too, filled the room, melding with the merry voices to hint at its own strange music. Just as quickly, Sei looked back at her with a laugh, cat-like eyes full of cheer. "How was it?"
"Fantastic," the girl replied, as excitable as ever. "It has such a great sound- when did you get it?"

Sei gave her a smile and spoke. "Nothing major, just training." He said, flexing his arm. He laughed and put down his arm. It was nice to see her again. "I bought it on the first, but I haven't used it yet." He replied. He put the Harmonica inches away from his lips, and slowly played a tune. He missed quite a few notes, but ignored it and continued.
He stood, still playing lousy music, and began to sway. He winked at Lyrri, signalling her to join in and dance. He stepped to the right, and turned a full circle, swaying to-and-fro.

He continued to play, gradually making a beat of his own. |

Lyrri chuckled as Sei put his arm back down; it was nice to see him, too. Then, with a small disclaimer, he started up a tune. True, he hadn't exactly mastered it. Still, Lyrri's eyes lit with a mix of amber and green as he stood to continue.
He winked at her, trying to bring her forward; she hesitated only slightly. Energetic as she may have been, the girl had no idea how to dance. Then an idea occurred to her, and she pulled something out of her boot with an excited bounce.
Her flute, of course. She stood and waited for a moment before coming in, swaying along with the only slightly out-of-key harmonica; then, following a cheerful laugh, she put the instrument to her mouth and played a short, quiet accompaniment. She wasn't the best at improvising- that much was obvious- but she was certainly enjoying it! With her eyes just short of closed as she spun and stepped to Sei's beat, she noticed somewhat blurred faces of The Broken Casket's patrons turned toward the two. She couldn't tell if they were enjoying the music, watching the interruption angrily, or staring aghast at the two crazy amateurs. She didn't particularly care.
OOCI'm really sorry. T-T But hey! Hey! This is my intercession! So I'm going to be more active, now that we've lightened my huge pile of work. I'm really really sorry, though!!! I hope you're still here!

Lyrri hesitated a moment, and suddenly pulled out her flute. She tried to keep a tune in sync with him, but with his lack of skill, he sounded like a broken record. He stepped sideways, and turned in a circle, trying his best to keep at least a steady beat. He was missing almost every note, and tried his best to find a good rhythm. He was terrible. Yet, he didn't care one bit. He twirled and blew, eventually losing his breath and restarting.
He played until his face turned red, and continued to look at the unreadable stares from others.
OOCIt's fine. |

Lyrri resolved to keep the beat as best she could, having no idea where this song ended or where it had begun. Her spinning now reduced to a calm sway, she continued to look about with purple-flecked eyes at the patrons. They were awfully nice; hadn't said an ill word about the music, had they? Surely there were some scoffers hidden in the corners of the Casket, but most seemed to smile with as little care as Sei and the bard seemed to have.
After a minute or two, her playing grew quieter. She continued to fade until the harmonica was the only sound left, slipping her instrument into a boot and watching the tiger-boy with a friendly smile. The music wasn't bad for his first time; besides, he seemed to be enjoying himself!

"Well, that was fun!" He said cheerfuly. He righted himself in the chair, and looked back to Lyrri. "I was terrible, huh?"[b] He said with a laugh. He put his harmonica back in his rucksack and smiled at Lyrri. He was never very musical, but it was fun none the less. He gave Lyrria happy grin, and turned to the others in the Casket.
No one seemed upset, so he was still happy as could be. He could seecertain people smiling, and tooka it as a good thing. [b]"So, how's the musical world treating you Lyrri? Cause you sounded great just now." |
