Kovac's new found compassion and patience was wearing thin. He was not a therapist, and barely sufficient as a friend at times. Now he had three upset women on his hands. Azira was grief stricken, Vira panic stricken, and Alori butt hurt. For gods' sakes, this was Wind Reach, and in less than half a season they would all be struggling just to find and provide food for everyone else. This would all pale to the coming Winter.
The mongrel hunter barely acknowledged Eache's presence, an irrelevant player in their little drama. The poor guy would not give up, wanting to help Alori. Kovac all but ignored him. "Dammit Alori, stop it. We love you like crazy, you are family to me and Vira. We are all just having a bad night, that's all. I think its best that the night end. Tomorrow will be a new day. You can come home with us if you want."
With that Kovac turned on his heels and returned to Lavira and Azira. He reached out a hand to his girlfriend. "Vira, lets go home, I think that is best. Azira, get some sleep, you need rest." He helped Lavira to her feet and offered Azira a hand as well, nodding to the wine. "I think I should take the wine, you have already puked once tonight."
