The last thing that she remembered was firing her arrows at the blue elk and missing both times. The teen must have been in too much of a hurry, trouble with wind, something had happened. Next her memory went blank, and it took a tick to recall the explosion of the elk. There was no explanation for such things happening and it was just a weird as the dream she had just afterwards.
Lost in a field of wheat, strange statues guarding doors, and something else. Something menacing crawling in the grass stalking her. It spoke to her, uttering a single word before it attacked and the dream was over. In the real world, the tiny Endal was half tucked against the back of the ledge where the blast had sent her flying. Slowly her limbs started to move again, and she released a soft moan as he legs fell back and over to the ground again.
Alori? Alori?
"Mhmm...V-Vira? What ha..?"
Do I sound like a cripple to you?
Durveth? Hey, what just happened?
I can't explain it yet, no one can, but at least you finally woke up.
What? How long was I?
I'm coming down to get you, stay put.
Rubbing her back, Alori slowly pushed herself up and leaned against the wall. A look of disbelief washed over her as she looked into the canyon. Everything was gone, all of it. Whatever the blast was it had cleared the field leaving behind one set of strange antlers. The blue elk.. The teen looked around and wondered why everyone else was leaving. It was as if the antlers were calling to her and she had to answer.
