Core Basics

What is The Core exactly?
The Core is a system developed to personally record and track every aspect of a character, it is by nature the center field of information as details highlight important things to note, in turn helping lead to further development and growth. It provides the method of tracking and recording progression and in turn the creation of milestones for a character, as they in turn progress towards the new goals and standards set before them.

How The Core works: Simply put The Core records all traces of information into data to be used as a reference later on, it is a system of data that allows the tracking of progression in a character or in a set of characters depend on the focus of The Core. Using the data recorded as reference for future ideas and plots, one can invent new ways to track and record progression in a character until they've reached a set limit with their progression.

 

The Core

The Main Core
The Main Core is composed of four different sections that each serve an individual purpose, these sections are known as "Memory", "Power", "Possessions", and "Plotnotes".

The Memory Core
Within the Memory Core lies the heart of all things related to the character and their memories, each one a single piece of something greater as they weave together a story throughout the characters lifespan. The Memory Core contains within itself the very soul of the character as the memories, threads, weave the very fabric of creation and change into the character's own life. What composes The Memory Core is the very fabrics of memories and the moments they contain, each piece of the information becoming an important augmentation to that of the memory in turn as it further builds the character in their path.

What composes the memory is the Memory Compendium which is where every Memory is recorded in the Thread Core, along with the status of that memory to determine the gravity of it's impact. The occurrence of that memory and it's location are also recorded in turn to note the time and place (found in the Memory Core), in turn also recording the people that are met in that thread on that specified timestamp and area. (In the Relation Core)

The Power Core
Within The Power Core resides the two basic things a character has, their "Abilities" which is composed of the skills they have, and then their "Knowledge" which is in turn composed of the collected lore they have gathered overtime. The Power Core in general is the measure of the character's own strengths and weaknesses, and highlights these aspects to help determine what is important to develop and focus on along their path. Each Memory improves this aspect thus furthers the characters own potential to greater heights, in turn making them become a more individual person that sets them apart from the rest.

The composition of The Power Core is made up of "Abilities", "Experience Attainment", "Knowledge", and "Knowledge Attainment" to record and help keep track of every aspect involved within the Power Core, all the while the prowess and planning of a character further develops to determine their course in the future.

The Possessions Core
The Possessions Core functions as a simple but effective means to literally record everything the character has or once had, along with their investments they have made as they progress throughout their determined paths. Every item that a character comes across and every purchase or transaction made is recorded to help track the financial prowess of the character, in turn helping to determine where their paths lead just like the other three Main Cores used. This in turn builds and augments the plans and ideas of a character further, and develop the character as a whole as they may gain statuses or benefits through financial gain.

The Possessions Core is composed of simply two important things, the "Belongings" of that Character and then the "Ledger" to go with them. "Belongings" is broken into two extensive branches that help make tracking items easier, they being "Equipment" for weaponry, gear, and travel arranged assortments, while "Personal Belongings" contains the other essential items for a character, such as clothing, accessories, etc. The Ledger Core is primarily used as the same function it is named for, a recording of transactions made for future references with the data.

The Plotnotes Core
The Plotnotes Core is the very Core you're looking into right now, every ounce of data recorded is retraced here to be used in terms of references for ideas and future plans. Simply put this Core is composed of all the other Main Core components and highlights every aspect of the character as a whole, though only in a behind the curtains viewpoint as most of it might remain Out Of Character note. That is of course without reason, as a character who learns anything found here while In Character can in turn use it for their own advantages, what that determines is left open to interpret as it conveniently helps to create plans and plots with one another.

The composition is simple yet thorough when it comes to the Plotnotes Core, it is easily put that everything you can imagine when looking for information regarding a character, that can all be found here to help track the progression of a character as a whole. Not only is the character's progression noteworthy f recording, but in turn the ideas and plots themselves become important, as they can really benefit other involved parties mutually depending on how they go. It is by all means purposed to highlight the other aspects of The Core and in turn help one find ways to create plots and ideas.

 

Using The Core

To navigate throughout the Plotnotes Core is rather simple, as the elaborately crafted Table of Contents is the first place you will wish to start when you wish to find a specific Core to view. Here you will see a list of the Cores as a whole, with them is a brief description to help you better understand their purpose.

The Table of Contents- The welcome post to the Plotnotes Core. This post contains a section dedicated to navigational uses, complete with an entire list of every Core post within the thread.

The Character Core Guidelines- The second post that vividly explains every portion of the Plotnotes Core. This handy guide is what you are reading now and will elaborate on what the other Core posts in the thread have to offer.

The Plot Core- Here you will find every plot and idea that characters can get involved in, there is always something to try and participate in and you can also create new plots for the character to go through. Plots can be made via pm to me the writer.

The Thread Core- Inside this core is the complete list of every thread that has been made, with each listed thread there is also the party members that have been involved, as well as where the thread has taken place.

The Character Core- You find personal challenges that are set for the character here, they can be referred to as "milestones" that the character has to reach as he progresses through the story.

The Level Core- A measure of the character's prowess with experience, though not an official "Level Up" system used on Mizahar in general. This was put together as an idea for fun while at the same time measure the amount of progress the character has made via experience (XP) wise.

The Ability Core- Set up to display not just the current skills the character has but skills that the character should eventually obtain as well, this Core works with the function of a "Skill Goal" idea in mind to help keep track of all the skills and their advancement.

The Knowledge Core- Much like the Ability Core the Knowledge Core sets goals for what the character needs to gain Lore wise, therefore advancing progress towards what knowledge the character gains.

The Technique Core- Compiled from the measure of Skill points and Lore this Core is the IC abilities he can perform while in combat, the proficiency of the skill not only considers the level at which the technique has to be learned but in turn how effective the listed Techniques can be, while at the same time accounting for the Lore earned in order to successfully learn and master a specific technique.

The Paradigm Core- Another compilation put together for the use of combat, this elaborately designed Core provides insight on how the strategies are formed and in turn allows the reader to understand how tactics and combat flow through the characters mind.

The Memory Core- This serves as a sort of collection of data in which counts every sort of thread and person that has ever been met.

The Season Core- Reveals the status quo for the current season that is going on, it contains information on the current plot as well as a set number of goals for threads in mind.

The Notes Core- A practical yet useful board that is used to post up information related to a topic, there can be several different kinds of information found here; from reminders to notes on certain plots and in some cases even hints relevant to a certain subject.

The Relations Core- Here in this Core every pc that has ever held an encounter with this character is recorded, keeping track of the timestamp and place in which the encounter occurred as well it helps display where a pc stands in terms of a relationship with this character.

The Reputation Core- To those who have enough of an impression from this character they can share their thoughts or opinions, the opinions are from the pc's themselves as they may feel however they choose towards this character. More can be added via request by pm.

The Family Core- Here the "Family Tree" can be found, it is a collection of information based on the ties and connections that exist between pc's and this character. They are tied by means of a lineage throughout the family name and therefore are associated by certain standards in turn.

The Achievement Core- This keeps track of every small feat that the character has accomplished throughout their story, with links towards the Memory in which the accomplishment had been made.

The Quest Core- Contains possible quests, odd jobs, and even favors pc's can partake in if they wish to improve their standing with the character.

The Web Core- Another compilation of pc's that have become involved or entangled deep in plots associated to this character, it is a the name suggests a "web" that reveals influences that have been brought on by other pc's.

The Locations Core- A log that records and reveals every domain that has been explored by the character, as well as the date of their first visit and a number of how many times they had visited the place.

The Challenges Core- A Core that contains a list of challenges provided for the character to do within their story, the challenges come from the Mizahar Truth or Dare Game.

The Sound Core- The Core that contains "Themes" that are selected for a season and the plot to be carried out.

The Spring 514 AV Core- Reveals the status quo for the season that has already passed.
