1st of Summer 513AV
Aose had found herself sitting on an unclaimed ledge looking out across the Unforgiving at the rising of the sun. The events of the day before still felt surreal. Siilark was drifting high on the currents of the air, riding the terminals and allowing the columns of hot air to rush him ever upward. The large raven's wings barely fluctuating as he allowed the world's winds to take him about. Aose smiled, the previous day's events weren't entirely surreal there was tangible proof of their occurrence.
The sun had risen and with it Aose could just hear the faint sounds of the small morning songbirds starting their day. Aose smiled, she was just within hearing distance of them and that was enough to start her day of perfectly. The next sound Aose realized was the soft humming of the birds as they took flight, their wings forcing the wind to buffer them upwards and Aose winced as she could hear the fluttering sounds hitting her eardrums and then make their way into her brain.
Wind....
Ride...
Up... Up!
It was small sets of words right now, nothing of mass importance and nothing Aose couldn't fathom. Simple words, faint words that flittered into her mind and then just as quickly left. It was just twitterings and chirpings, feather rustlings and take offs... Simple stuff. And yet Aose felt uncomfortable for some reason. Just birds Aose... Just birds... Standing Aose looked to the sky she could see the large black god-bird raven swooping gracefully giving out caws of joy that echoed in Aose's as foreign words that she just couldn't understand.
Then came the sounds she was unaware of happening. The screeching call of an eagle having located it's prey. Aose clamped her hands over her ears, unleashing her own screech of pain as she watched the screeching predator swoop downward past the tree line and hidden from view and sound.
Shaken and scared Aose dropped her rump back onto the ground, letting lose a torrent of tears specifically dedicated to her fright. It ended with a serious set of hiccups, painful and hard.
