Rewards For Shield Points

The Shield Point System is used to keep track of the standing those associated with the Syliran Knights. Be they a Squire or a fully fledged Knight these points represent a multitude of things.

1.) First and foremost they represent reputation. A player’s standing amongst the Knighthood. The amount of points that a player has can be translated into how they are regarded by NPC Knights when approached by them. A player with a high amount of points may be regarded with an equally high amount of respect whereas a player with a very low amount or even negative points may be regarded with slight distaste or stiffness.

2.) Secondly, the points can be “cashed in”. This process can only be done in cooperation with the moderation staff. Players can inquire with the staff as to whether or not they have enough points to warrant a “Shield Reward”. This reward can range from getting a discount on a purchase a player makes throughout the city of Syliras or perhaps getting new and better gear as a gift from the Knighthood.

3.) The Shield Points can also be used toward assisting a player in advancement through the ranks of the Knighthood. While no player can advance without first meeting the prerequisites for advancement, once those requirements are met players with adequate amounts of points may find it easier to advance quicker. Again a player need only make an inquiry as to whether or not they have enough points to warrant initiating the Cash In process.

Cash In Process


Players wishing to cash in” their points need only post an inquiry into the Shield Point System thread. The inquiry should include the following:

Character Name: (Who are you?)
Point Total: (How many points do you have?)
Reason For Inquiry: (What are you hoping to get?)

Players should note that just because they ask for something doesn't necessarily mean that they are going to get it. Ultimately it is up to the moderation staff as to whether or not a player warrants being rewarded what it is they are requesting.

The Shield Points can be exchanged for a multitude of things. Rewards fall into four different ranges: Adventurous, Heroic, Knight, Legendary etc.
