You are going to hell.

How many people have we pushed away with that sentence? How many people have we sent walking in the other direction, talking about what hypocrites we are, how stupid we are, how insane our beliefs are? I have seen gay couples come to my church, and instantly be condemned because of their sin. See, that is the problem, that is the thing that some of these "Christians" overlook. We aren't supposed to hate or condemn the PERSON. We are supposed to hate and condemn the SIN. People were created by God, and therefor, every person is beautiful. Everyone deserves love. It is their sin that we should hate. IT is what takes them to hell. Not themselves.

Though I suppose, if you indulge in your sin, it is partly your fault.

What scares you about hell? You don't believe in it, do you? That is a Christian belief. It shouldn't bother you.

I am sorry.

I am sorry that we don't love you like we should. I am sorry that we push you away, instead of pulling you close. I am sorry that we are not more like the God we feel we are worshipping, beings of unending love, peace, and security. I honestly wish we could be. I wish I could be. I wish I could give every hurting person a hug, and with that hug, heal them. I don't know why, but I ache for you. You know who you are. You all do. I ache for you, and pray to God each and every night that you will find peace and joy. You don't seek condemnation, who really does? We are all on this earth for love, and funny enough, that is exactly what we are supposed to be offering. Our God died for love. He created us for love. He is hurt by that love, when we don't return it. He is hurt when we don't give it. But still, he loves. The least I can do is love in return, and try to show his love to everyone else.

So, when I see you, I won't say "You are going to hell". I won't be that Christian who condemns you, or puts you down, or tries to preach to you. I won't call out your sins. I won't judge you by my book, by my Bible.

I won't even mention my God.

I will just love you.

You'll wonder where all the love comes from. And eventually, I will tell you.

Why can't we be less judging? Only God can see everything. Only God can understand what is truly going on in their lives; what is happening to them; how i affects them. We are here to show God's love, not to deal out God's judgement. Because, at the very core of it, God is love. And if we want to be Christlike, shouldn't we be loving, not judging?

It's so hard to be loving. I wish I could love people more.

People don't get upset, don't hate, don't give a rats you know what unless they do care. Caring is at the root of all things. It's even at the root of your humor. I think everyone knows that.
