The Spit Fire
:::ATTN:::
All transactions must have ST approval.
If Hunting is your profession, you gain no meat or pelt for your kills in Job Threads. Trophies may be kept but have to be awarded by the graders. Basically, since you hunt for a living you CANNOT profit directly from the thread in terms of meat or skin that can be sold or used to stock your ledger.
GradersGraders determine the weight of the meat sold. A novice hunter can sell the meat of their kill for 1/3 of the price meat is listed for here, a competent to expert hunter gets half the listed price, and a master hunter gets full price plus the pelt tanned for free at excellent condition.
The Spit Fire will only buy 'excellent' pelts for the price they can make them themselves. This is to stop people from abusing the service. You can, however, sell your own pelts to other players for whatever they are willing to pay for them. | PlayersThe Spit Fire will only buy 'excellent' pelts for the price they can make them themselves. This is to stop people from abusing the service. You can, however, sell your own pelts to other players for whatever they are willing to pay for them. | HuntersIf Hunting is your character's profession they automatically get half the value of their kill. For example a master hunter who sells 50lbs of Night Lion meat (worth 3gm) is calculated like this 3gm x 50lbs /2 = 75gm. If he was a novice the calculation would be 1gm x 50lbs /2 = 25gm, and for competent to expert level the value is half so 1.5gm x 50lbs /2 = 37.5gm. When hunting is your character's job, making extra money from the profession is frowned upon.
The tent's support beams and canvas walls of The Spit Fire are littered with dried, stretched hides, skeletons, jars of organs, and tools of the butchery trade. The best of the best Drykas tanners and butchers are housed here, masters of the fine art of preserving hides and meats. Everything is scavenged from a beast's corpse and used to benefit the Drykas quality of life; leather for the leatherworkers, meat for markets, pride and honor for the hunters and tanners, organs and glands for healers and philterers, and the leftover bones for carving into jewelry, weapons, or glyphs.
Whenever Drykas Hunters go on a rewarding hunt, either the hunters themselves will gut, skin, and butcher the meat out in the wild; or a master tanner/butcher will bring their wagons of tools. It is important that the meat from a kill be cut very soon after death for this ensures the quality of the meat.
NPCs vary as the pavilion is open for use by the public; a hunter may commission a taxidermist to preserve the hide of his or her kill as easily as a cook may hire a hunter to bring back a certain amount of meat. The entire operation is overseen by Ronir Duskstep.

Item Notes:
- Points are counted by taking the total number of points on the pair of antlers and dividing it by 2.
Eg. A buck may have 18 points overall, but the average between the two horns is 9. Thus, the buck's horns would be sold for 8 GM. - Antlers with more than 15 points are considered trophy items and sales must be conducted with another player or a mod.
- Average feathers are brown, tawny, gray, etc. Bright feathers are red, white, blue, green, etc.
