Alister Val'Tec The Lammergeier Appearance Race: Kelvic Gender: Male Age: 16(Appears 24) Birthday: 14 spring 497 AV Birthplace: Riverfall Appearance: Alister is roughly 5'11" tall with medium length black hair with reddish highlights. He is not the most fit person but he does sport a lean muscular body with several scars on his torso. His Face is very forgettable but due to a large scar across his right eye his is hard to forget when he does something stupid like steal from a local tradesmen. His skin is a light tan color due to his upbringing on the Suvan Sea. Alisters eyes are very pericing due to his Lammergeier aspect. He has deep black with a hint of red pupils with white surroundings. His Vulture aspect Is 48 inches long with a wingspan of 9 feet. He is roughly 15 to 16 pounds with a long wedge shaped tail and has long narrow wings with beautiful deep red and black feathers. The feathers on his head are almost all deep red with black undertones. While looking very similar to a falcon but much, much larger. Alister's vulture side has many unique features. The scars on his torso are mostly covered by his chest plumage but his scar across his right eye is visible but the long feathers flowing on his eye follow it almost perfectly. His body and crest on his head are red and his wing almost all black. Character Concept Personality - Alister is a very anti-social person and he doesn't play very well others. Of the rare times he is merry is when he is at the end of his third cup of ale or scoping a new target for theft. He likes to be alone most of the time soaring the open lands around the sea looking for bones to munch on. While unlike most vultures his diet is mostly that of bone marrow. While living on the sea he has come to love the taste of fish bones and it makes his a very easy to feed for ship captains. He has a very good heart but he never lets people get too close. Its kind of required of him to be like that due to his life as a sailor and a thief. Ethics - Has a strong sense of right and wrong but has no problem doing either. Likes - Loves being on a ship deck and flying scouting missions for whatever ship captain hires him. The love of bone marrow makes him a interesting party to bring to and tavern as he always ordering roasted lamb bones or asking for the leftover bones from a fresh kill. Drinking is one of his favorite things and he has a habit of enjoying many of the herbs that grow on the cliffs and slopes of Mt. Izurith. Dislikes - He has a strong hate for the Inarta. He was attacked by the eagle riders in his early life when he tried to steal from them and his scars he bares are from the giant eagles they ride. He does everything he can to avoid groups of them but he is the first to want to attack them if there is a lone flyer over the Suvan sea. Old grudges die hard they say. Character History Born in a small tent on the coast near Riverfall His mother was told by a mage that she was going to give birth to a Kelvic and did not want her son to be a 'Pet' or slave for the Akalak. His mother died in child birth and he never knew her name and he was left in the arms of a midwife. The midwife knew of his mothers wishes and tried to keep him from the Akalak so when the next Ship Captain came into harbor she begged for her to take him in. He spent his early years like most humans but grew fast. Within his first few days he was adopted by a Svefra ship captain by the name of Vurtasia Wavebreaker. She was like a mother to him but he never bonded with her. She kept her distance to prevent bonding but taught him many thing. He became very adept at reading and writing common. He was a good student of Fratava but never learned to write it.He was full grown by age four and he stayed with Vurtasia till he turned the age of 10. He spent nearly ten years with her but he had to leave her to find his own way in life. He left the ship of the eve of his tenth birthday and began to wander the world. He Loved to be in his vulture form. He could sail on the winds with his huge wings and travel to far of cities and lands without having to fight many of the beast and bandits that roamed the lands. He found a clever way to keep his belongings with him as he flew. He made a pack he could carry everything in with his talons and fly from city to city. Being a Kelvic he needed a way to make money in the cities and his skill on ships taught him many finer details about trading and bartering, But he fell on many hard times and he had to develop new skills like theft and basic hunting work. In his 13th year was when he first encountered the Inarta. He was on a job that required his talents at stealing and flying. He was to fly to the Eagle Aeries in Wind Reach and steal a glass orb that was very, very valuable. His cut of the theft was to be great and he would be set of many years if he completed the trip. But while on this trip he found that it was not a easy money target. He managed to sneak in and get the orb but a alarm was raised and he made a hasty retreat. While on his flight away from the Aerie he was attacked by a group of three eagle riders. He was much smaller and very agile from the eagles but he was badly injured and in . Luckily for him he made his escape into a small cave in the mountain side but lost the glass orb in his risky escape. He hid for several days until he healed enough to fly back to his employer. Before he went to the home of the merchant who wanted the item he was found by a friend in the town and was told he had a death mark on his head. Fleeing for his life for a second time he began to wish for the ships of the Suvan sea and began his long trip back to the waters of his youth where he found work with a few ship owners and tradesmen as a lookout and deck hand.
