Speech | Thoughts
Better safe than sorry, Sana had decided, keeping her gaze low as the doctor went about his business, the pressure Ollic exerting upon her hand enough to focus on as she drowned out that dreadful sound of needle through flesh. It would be over soon, she told herself, wishing for such as much for herself as for Ollic.
He was rather strong, she noted, not too long after he began practically crushing her hand in his, almost taking it back when he realised and released.
Before she quite knew it, there was a clatter and a breath of relief, some comment made about the wonders of stitches, earning a frown and shudder from Sana at the thought.
When the Vantha turned to her, she didn't like the look he wore, nor was she particularly fond of the word he spoke. The way things appeared on her end, there was no need to apologise. Sana had already rehearsed how to combat unwarranted apologies a dozen times over, such is required in her lines of work and study, though she couldn't form the words quite quick enough, her friend already explaining to himself by the time she'd finished taking in the breath to speak.
"It's fine, Ollic," she lulled, pressing her lips, her words far softer than she'd had intended, perhaps too quiet to be heard.
She couldn't help the laugh she gave when Ollic took to speaking of thank yous and apologies, taking his hand and giving a solid shake before she stood herself tall and stretched her limbs. "No votes of thanks or apologies are necessary," she giggled, "I earned a new friend, that's more than enough make up for the horror of tackling that staircase several times over."
A look passed her, then, and she shot a distasteful look towards her back pack, "Gods, and I have another trek to do yet," she rolled her eyes with a look of mock shock, pressing her lips as she puffed her cheeks, swaying side to side as she sought the willpower to pay for her troubles and begin the walk home. She'd have liked to pay for Ollic's, too, but a severe lack of coin on her own part meant that in doing so, she'd doom herself.
"I'm glad I met you - I'll aim to end up in your care next time a do something moronic." A bitter look to her wrist and she gave a breathless giggle, "Though, I'll be staying away from trees and cliffs for a while yet., it seems."
