She concentrated on the hare's Chevi.

Don't get lost, don't get lost.

There it is, she found it and saw. The hare was sitting there looking at her. Then suddenly a man appeared in front of it. The man had black hair and the poor hare tried to escape.

Then just like that it ended. Nilika gasped for air as the vision faded. She looked back at the rabbit. It was just laying down in the grass. Even though she didn't understand anything about what happened to the thing, she didn't feel threatened by it. Whatever happened to it didn't make it any less friendly. She petted the rabbit with her gloved hands.

She looked down at her hands and squeezed them. The softness of the rabbit's fur still lingered there. Shaking her head, Nilika went back to the hole. They were losing sunlight and she did not want stay here at night.

Dang it I still need to get some Vyfox plants.

Dusk is approaching...

Noaru had overstayed his welcome within the rabbit’s body and mind. He didn’t need to waste any more strength, or time possessing this hare. The spirit believed a wolf would’ve been more dramatic than a hare, considering the viscous nature of the beast. Noaru released his hold on the hare’s body and detaches himself from it. The hare feels the spirits hold on him weaken and then disappear. The hare doesn’t waste this opportunity and he bolts into the forest without hesitation.

Noaru watches as the creature turns around, the hares eyes widen once it realizes that Noaru’s presence was still there. The hare makes a mad dash into the forest and this time, it doesn’t stop until the treacherous entity and the kind konti could not be seen again. Noaru then turns his attention Nilika; it was time for him to show himself to her. He was deviating from his original plan but he hardly followed a plan anyway.

Noaru placed a small portion of his concentration on his form. The soulmist that made up his body resonated with his will—igniting like a blaze. The spirit distances himself from Nilika to the point where there were only a few meters between them. Noaru’s blackened soulmist swirled around him, concealing his more human features with the darkness of his robe . Finally, he was completely materialized and Noaru levitated quietly in the air; he was sure to keep a non-aggressive feel about him, as he did not wish to disturb Nilika any further.

She continued to dig in the hole. The hare made it a bit than it was last time she tried. The konti smiled with thankfulness. But something was still bugging her about the hare. Who was that man and what did he do?

Something sounded like it was running. Looking to the side of her the hare's white tail was the only thing she saw before it disappeared through the underbrush. Why did it run? Was some thing there?

She carefully and slowly turned around. What was behind her kind of shocked her. It was the same man who she saw in the vision. Nilika looked him up and down. "What the- he's not even standing on the ground," she thought.

I presume, she’s accustomed to seeing ethereal beings or has no clue what I’am.”

Noaru thought within the now seemingly awkward situation. He had now shown himself to Nilika, now what? Noaru couldn’t think of anything else to do besides think of something to do! Talk about a contradiction but he was probably onto something there...maybe. The spirit extends a tendril of soulmist and allows it to take hold of a small stick, resting closely beside one of the many large trees that made up the forest.

Noaru places the stick in his left hand and reaches it to Nilika, she could probably use this to mark her buried treasures location, if she was to place the treasure inside the hole he had made. Noaru had the negative possibility in mind; she could, as well, throw the stick at him or hit him with it. Noaru figured he deserved it, for trying to deceive Nilika. The spirit felt that he’d wasted enough power and time in one location as well; he would help Nilika here then depart from her—have fate decided their next meeting.

What he would do, after leaving Nilika, was a mystery. Noaru would wander, letting time in the form of water and wind, pass him by. The spirit would eventually meet another different soul, or familiar one and a new story would take root…like always. Noaru patiently awaited Nilika’s decision; either or otherwise, he would understand.

What could it be? Nilika didn't really care what it was. The main question was, Is it going to hurt her? If he wanted to, a guess of gender was due to the height,(She thinks all males are) he would have done it already.

He then handed her a stick. She just looked at him with a questioning face. What was she going to do with a freaking stick? She puffed up her cheeks a little. Then that other serious question popped up. What did he do to the that poor little hare?

"Can I ask you question, if you can talk?"

I believe you’ve the privilege to do so since creation.”

The young konti’s facial response wasn’t wholesomely expected by Noaru, he expressed himself with a look that could only say, What? The spirit was quiet after his response to Nilika, he couldn’t spout random words of wisdom to her like he did that once time with the hare. So, he held his tongue and politely bathed in silence. Noaru avoided eye contact as well, his eyes darted in the direction of a tree. The branches were a dark brown much like its leaves which quietly fall to the ground.

Noaru never tires from this—complete silent. A thing he was quite familiar with, it was what truly greeted him when he first came to understand the world around him. Alone, to have a whole world like this to myself—without interruption? Noaru wondered why the living and some dead seek the company of others, was he the only being who found comfort in loneliness and seclusion? The ethereal thought during his levitation.

"My first question is why a stick," she asked as she swung the object of the question around. This day was getting weirder by the minute. First her grandmother sends her some type of letter to bury something she forgot, a rabbit that was sad but didn't seem like it, and now some ghost decided to appear. It took her while to know it was a ghost. It didn't have wings to float so the next thing that came to mind was a ghost. Nilika wasn't one to like a lot of confusion especially if it's something that she can't control.

"The second question is what you do to the rabbit," her cheeks puffed up. A habit that needs to be rid of. She looked up at the sky the clouds; they were turning pink.

“This stick...use it to mark your belongings location in a subtle way.”

Nilika probably believed that he was a strange ethereal being. However, Noaru did not mind this at all. He enjoyed the fact that there was at least one individual who didn’t pay him or his appearance any mind. The visage of an ancient spirit and forest entity was starting to become old. Noaru would seek after another title: a true name for his existence—profound meaning. The ethereal was watching his cloak flow through the air when Nilika asked him another question.

What did I do to the rabbit? I possessed him.”

Noaru’s response was so casual. The way he spoke was as if his deed had no sinister meaning. Noaru was certain that something as trivial as being overtaken by some unknown entity wouldn’t be enough to eternally scar the poor woodland creature. That’s when it hits him and Noaru’s casual expression, goes blank, an obvious poker face to disguise his own misconduct.

Nilika did a somersault in her head. He could talk! Well of course he can talk, he has a mouth. Getting back to reality, she looked down at the stick. He thought she needed to mark the locations? Well, that was unnecessary. "No thanks, I don't need to do that," she spoke. She breathed out a breath of exhaustion, today really was a weird one.

She almost deadpanned the ghost after he answered her other question. She wasn't expecting that reply at all. Who goes around possessing small woodland creatures. Says the person who gets into other people businesses, her mind thought. Nilika looked up the at ghost with a look of interest. What would it be like if she stuck her hand through him? Would it actually go through or get stuck in the middle?

Then she realized she was being rude to the man..er...ghost. "What's your name," she asked.

“ I see…”

Noaru tosses the stick aside and it lands with a quiet sounding thud. Noaru watched Nilika with hushed eyes, his gaze being patient and still. The spirit’s long and flowing, old and yet fine jet-black cloak contorts from its original shape when Noaru places his feet onto the ground. Noaru’s sleeves that concealed his arms and hands, melded into the rest of his “clothing”, leaving behind the illusion that his arms and sleeves had vanished.

“....”

Noaru was silent, hiding the fact that he was struggling to remember his name. He could remember only one portion of his name—Radjutlas. This name, ancient in origin, and its meaning were the only parts of his name, he remembered. The pain of recovering his older memories must have tampered with the newer memories, or distorted them in some way. A chime passed before Noaru responds to Nilika, his stubbornness concealing his frustration.

I’am known as Noaru and your name?
