Boli, I loved seeing his character development, while far from being qualified to be a knight in personality, he did change for the better from the previous seasons.
Altaira, since Morwen is a Goddess and grandmother to Marcus Kelvic (The creator of the Kelvic race), I think she's always accurate in breeding the polar bears true, unless Altaira's father wanted to have other Kelvic children as well.
I think you might need to revise your story regarding it. Take this in mind in your future threads.
Regarding your last OOC note, I think it's the right way to make a character, you don't want an all-wise, perfect person as a PC... they're boring since they're perfect. That's just my opinion though.
