The Diamond of Kalea is located on Kalea's extreme west coast and called as such because its completely made of a crystalline substance called Skyglass. Home of the Alvina of the Stars, cultural mecca of knowledge seekers, and rife with Ethaefal, this remote city shimmers with its own unique light.

20th of Fall, 513. Late in the evening
Engghaen walked through the center of Lhavit. You could see lights burning in the houses and the cafés, but the shops were dark and the streets were empty. You could ask yourself, why would this Kelvic be here, at this time, and not in a bar or at home? The cat loved the evenings and nights. She stopped and hid her clothes on the back of a house, under a bit of stones. Then she morphed into her cat form and wandered on. This is much better, she thought. And nobody will talk to me, since I'm a cat. A bit peace for the night. The cat grinned by the thought. No, nobody will talk to me. Unless they're drunk of course. She climbed up to one of the bar's windows. The noise was perfectly hearable from outside, and no way she was going to go in. Too much noise, too painful for the cat's hearing. If you would be inside the bar, you would see a perfectly white cat with sea-blue eyes staring at you through the window, carefully taking in every detail. But cats didn't sit on the lookout in front of a bar, would they? And since the place was filled with drunken lads, their attention wasn't pointed at the cat but more at the drinks. They laughed. Engghaen concluded they were having fun. Great fun. |

Ardan Ardan had been traveling for a long time, only recently arriving at Lhavit. So far, he quite enjoyed the city. So many different cultures and ways of thinking. Now, it was the evening. People were heading home or to the nearest tavern. The streets were mostly empty, save for the occasional drunk or stray animal. Ardan was not tired at all, his life having been spent almost entirely nocturnal. As he wandered the street, one sight caught him. A small, white cat staring through a bar's window. Something about the way she observed the humans within was... off. Her scent was strange as well. It took Ardan a few moments to realize it, but it was obvious. She was Kelvic. He approached the cat, who didn't move at all. She likely thought he was either drunk or just passing by. He stopped beside her, looking through the window. "It's a little late to be prowling the streets," he remarked. "I hear this city changes at night, though I have yet to notice." |

OC: Hi. Thought I'd join this because... well... we're both cats.

Evening, finally the sun had settled, and Kaim had finished all his Chores. Lhavit shone beautiful at night, it was such a majestic sight that tourist usually left astounded by the skyglass. Kaim, on the other hand, was all too adjusted to this shining city. With the chores he was given almost Daily, Kaim had to learn his way around the city. His mind was always occupied thanks to the numerous tasks he had to do everyday.
Today was a day, not like many other days, that Kaim slipped into his blue robe, his white sash with blue stripes, and headed out. It was customary for the Shinya to wear their uniform, such as out in public on a midnight stroll. Although, Kaim could have changed to the only unappealing clothing he had, he preferred his uniform. This, of course, meant he had to be on his best behavior, no taverns, no bars.
His feet guided him through the center of the city, which held an eerie silence Kaim was not accustomed to. Usually it was busy with people, but tonight was unlike any other night. Interesting, and here I thought a stroll through the city would make me feel lonely. As he thought quietly to himself the corner of his eyes caught a curious sight. He spotted a man with short, black hair staring at a white cat. It was not uncommon to see animals sitting at a window, such as a cat or a Kelvic, but one could never assume. Still, the young man piqued Kaim's interest enough to approach him. He laughed quietly under his breath before shrugging his shoulders. Maybe I won't be so lonely after all, but if I am off duty I can speak to others right? I could always write this off as...patrolling! Yes, of course, this is suspicious activity. This man could murder this cat and no one would be the wiser...right, Idiot.
He approached the figure and asked,"Nice quiet night out, huh?" He nodded his head to the side, "Empty nights like these are very rare. |

Engghaen twitched her ears, surprised that now the sound was not coming from inside, but outside. She turned her head, but stayed perfectly still with the rest of her body. The cat noticed the two men standing next to her and she bowed her head to greet them.
It was not odd for a cat, or a Kelvic, to sit in front of the window, right? Her blue eyes went up and down, scanning them both. This was crazy. If she wanted to be alone, people would talk to her! Apparently these were not drunk though. They looked too bright and spoke too bright. Had they already found out she was a Kelvic? Her eyes went big. This was not funny. She wanted to be alone. Or at least, be somewhere quiet. That was why she was here. But running away would be ungrateful. Besides, she could not. The both of them were blocking her way and the only way out would be between one of the two's legs.
The cat stared back at the guy. I do not know what he thinks is so fascinating about me, but he's not here for the tavern. |

Ardan Ardan noticed the cat's silence, and took it as a hint to keep his own mouth shut. Suddenly, he heard heavy footsteps approaching. Turning, he saw a man in a blue robe nearby. "Nice quiet night out, huh?" said the man, nodding his head to the side. "Empty nights like these are very rare." "Indeed," responded Ardan. "Though I'd hardly call it 'nice.' I can see seventeen unique places that an assassin could strike from on this street alone." As soon as he uttered those words, his mouth clamped shut. That was not something to be said to a random person. "I, er, grew up trained to avoid killers," he added before anyone could get too suspicious. "Spotting things like that are just natural to me." |

OC: I notice that you two are referring to Ardan as "boy." I completely forgot to add in to my character sheet that he actually appears to be around thirty. Sorry.

Engghaen frowned. Or at least, inside she did. She now turned her whole body to keep them in eyesight and pressed her back against the window. A miauw escaped from her muzzle. What would a regular chap in Lhavit know about assassins? She pushed the idea away. Why would a white cat know anything about being invisible anyway? Which she couldn't be now. It made her angry. She was also in Lhavit, then she could disappear into the night... Right? The cat now noticed the eyes of the first man. They were a goldish-yellow. Beautiful, really. Humans didn't have these eye colours so he had to be... Kelvic. She was not sure about the other. He was wearing some or other suit which the cat did not recognise. She longed to talk back to them, but if she morphed here she would be naked in front of the duo and she did not want that. Being visible was one thing. Being fully visible... |

Kaim shifted his weight and crossed his arms. He scratched his unshaven beard with his left hand, it had grown itchy after several days of growth. Training and chores were always the proper excuse to put off shaving. Still, he occasionally shaved as soon as someone brought it up, no one hadn't. While the man spoke, Kaim peaked around the man to see the white cat now staring at both of them. When the man finished Kaim raised an eyebrow, he let the word roll off his tongue slowly, "Really?" Kaim was no cat, but he did smell trouble where trouble was not needed. Trouble, always meant there was fun to be had. He heard the cat behind the man, cats were clever and Kelvic cats were just as clever.
Kaim raised a finger as if he was going to ask something, then pointed at the mans chest. "I see one right here," said Kaim, his sour expression showed. Kaim was a fool, but he wasn't a fools fool. He didn't trust people so easily, specifically strangers who weren't from Lhavit. One could tell from their clothing, yet it was rude to assume. He didn't say so, but he thought so. Midnight calls for suspicion, an interestingly silent night. It was weird enough that the night was empty, weirder with an outsider speaking to a lone cat. Where the only noises come from within a tavern, full of joy and laughter or bar fights. Kaim knew a liar once when he was younger, lived with him, and tortured by him. Again, one could never assume, it was rude to make assumptions based off of his past experience. Yet Kaim had an awful way of trying to be courteous, he didn't have many friends among the Shinya.
He shrugged his shoulders and sighed, "So tell me then, oh Natural Spotter of Assassins. Why are you avoiding Assassins? Maybe that cat is an assassin." |

Ardan "I doubt it," Ardan responded to the suggestion that the cat was an assassin. "Though it always helps to be careful. Why do you think I've been keeping an eye on her this whole time? "And as for your question, my family has been a target for generations. I always have to be careful." He noticed the cat shuffling uncomfortably, likely wishing to transform, or leave. "Don't worry, I will not harm you," he assured to both. "I don't kill for any reason but self defense." His hand slowly drifted to his knife, concealed under a cloak. He hoped not to use it, but if either of them turned out to be his enemy, he would destroy them without remorse. There was a reason he wore loose clothing. |

Engghaen didn't like them talking about her, not one little bit. She pushed herself against the window so much now, that if it would break she would fall straight through it on the table behind her. She hissed to the both of them. If they wouldn't make sure they didn't mean any harm to her, she would go. No matter if she just arrived the day before, if she had no friends and if she had only been wandering around the city. She was apparently ment to be alone. And that in the mating season. While she wished to be bounded to someone so dearly. She looked up at the first guy, his hand under his cloak. Cats could be scared, too. And normally their pupils go big. This happened to the cat too, although she couldn't see it herself. She miauwed anxiously. I'm harmless, okay? Please don't do anything... |

Ardan Ardan barely noticed the cat to his side seemingly panicking. She probably saw his hand moving, and knew that he was reaching for a knife. A trained killer would not do this, meaning that she was not one of his pursuers. And the other... he just didn't feel like an assassin. The way he spoke and moved, it wasn't the manner with which a murderer handled themself. All in all, Ardan felt Farley safe. He turned to the cat, removing his cloak and dagger. With one hand, he gently set down the blade, hoping that she would understand that he meant no harm. With the other, he held out the cloak. "If you want to change, you can use my cloak. It was made to fit a much larger person than yourself." The smaller animal Kelvic were generally also rather small. |
