Character ConceptEinla's hair is messy for a reason, or rather a lack of one; it's simply not important enough to merit her attention. She can think of several things more deserving. Work, for one. She's highly responsible - she has to be, to support herself - and reliability is quite important to her. For this reason, she can sometimes come across as dull. Unless, of course, she's heard telling a story.
Einla loves to tell stories. Fairy tales, historical epics, an entertaining anecdote her mother told her when she was ten - it doesn't matter what the material is. She would like to work as an entertainer, but dream jobs aren't always landed, and she'll take anything as long as it will support her.
Though she enjoys stories of all types, there are only a few she believes, and they aren't the ones suitable for children. She's cynical, very much so, and happy endings don't feature in her assessment of real life. The casual observer who heard her telling a cheerful tale might get quite a shock if they actually approached her. The exception lies in religion; she's a devout follower of Morwen, and she believes in every traditional story involving the gods, however idealistic they are.
Character HistoryEinla had a typical life until she was twelve, when her father died on a hunting expedition. Fortunately her mother's income was enough to support herself and her daughter, but it was burdensome, and having to deal with grief at the same time was almost too much. Einla wanted to take a job then, but her mother refused to allow it. So she waited until she was sixteen and simply moved out, reasoning that if she was old enough to marry, she was old enough to earn her own living.
Since she stayed in Frostfawn, she was able to see her mother frequently, but ignored all attempts at finding her a husband. The implication was that she needed one, and she didn't. She simply did not need anyone else to take care of her. If she married, it was going to be for some other reason than because her mother said so - she was an adult. Mother-said-so was out of the equation for good.

HousingLocation: Avanthal
House: 1 basic 20x20 Arvinta in Frostfawn Hold with a hearth, bunk, chest, chair, and small table.
Each Arvinta consists of a communal meeting or sitting room. Then there are private rooms for couples, and a common sleeping/living room for all the children. Visitors are often given a private room, while a couple will move in with the children to make extra room. Some of the larger, more expansive Holds with wealthier families have spare rooms in their Arvinta or special guest quarters when people move from place to place visiting. Holds often have common areas and craft cottages in buildings attached and are always made of solid stone. External buildings are often built from ice and warmed from within by special braziers that conduct heat into the room but do not melt the thick ice walls. A Hold may contain multiple Arvintas and might hold upwards of a couple hundred people.
