"Oh you are just pulling my arm now!" Khepri giggled.

"No I'm serious, he was much bigger than me but I clocked him in one punch.."

Khepri wasn't paying much attention anymore to the man's story. She was playing the part of an escort today and had her upper arm tucked in with a normal patron of the Herald's Arm. The only reason she was doing this was on the promise of keeping what she was currently wearing, instead of returning it to her 'date'. However the dancer had to admit he went through alot of trouble to get the sleek dress altered for her four arms and since it was practically free, what's the trouble of spending a few hours with this man. It was after all what she did already.

Their destination was a mystery to Khepri, but knowing this man it couldn't be anything elegant since they were heading towards the docks. She scowled at the thought but quickly turned it to a smile when her date started addressing her directly. He was going on about brawl he had gotten into earlier this season and how victorious he was in taking down a much bigger man than him or something like that because the Eypharian started to tune him out again.

They approached a free standing building of a warehouse that rested over the docks. The whole place seemed incredibly shady and Khepri couldn't figure out for the life of her why her benefactor (she should really as ask for his name again) was bringing her here. Of course the dancer had never been here before but someone of her status shouldn't be here.

Her date lead her inside with a huge grin plastered to his face. Clearly he has been here before and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere. Khepri tried to hide her disgust but was having a hard time doing so.

Once inside it wasn't entirely that bad still pretty ragged though. A large stage was set off in the far side of the gambling house with tables scattered amongst the floor. If she had to admit it, the place sort of reminded her of the Herald's Arm but she never would. Her date instantly made a beeline for one of the tables where a card game of sorts was starting up.

"Grab us some drinks, ya?" he yelled over his shoulder and he continued his way.

Khepri huffed,He certainly doesn't expect me to buy them myself but he continued on his way not looking back once to look at the Eypharian. This date was just getting better and better. She headed to the bar with a scowl upon her face.

A die flitting around in his open palm and a stern look at the man across from him Bolivar was engaging in a test of wills. This was for all the marbles; Mizas rather. Granted the table had only pooled one miza from each person but if won twice then that would be an easy ten Mizas. A tempting vision of him buying all the players in the table a round on him in the Stallion was trying to cloud his judgement. Was he in too deep?

“One more.”

Lo and behold it was a face card. Damn, bust.

“Eighteen?”

“I went over. Twenty-six.”

A triumphant shout came from the man to which the squire merely shrugged. You win some and you lose some. Bolivar won the first round so he still had three mizas to burn before he hit even for the night. Pounding the die in his on the table Bolivar let the fates choose their next game.

“Ugh. The liar game?”

To this the squire merely shrugged wondering how well he had been reading these men the past few games. There was the rookie of the group. He was already down four gold rimmed coins. Every table could use a sod like him really. Whether the man knew it or not it didn't matter he was learning the tricks of the trade and everyone was especially friendly to him. Then there was the sore loser of a man to the right of him. He was also down two mizas and visibly fuming from where the squire sat. He was like the rookie in that the others would gladly accept his money but at the cost of hearing him complain at every turn.

“Petch it all. This is stupid! This is dumb. Stupid as stupid gets.”

“How stupid? Is it?”

The grinning face that humored the sore loser was the winner of the last round.

“Soooo stupid.”

“Is that right?”

The grinning face came from a charismatic, friendly fellow of a man. Earning himself a laugh at the table at the other man's expense. Drawing in his winnings the charmer as they called him, kept up an easygoing front but kept his game face on when it was time to deal. Like Bolivar he was sitting easy with four mizas visible to use at the table. He was the real competitor of the group Bolivar was in. Easy to read at times but occasionally leave you guessing. That or the gods gave the lout some extra luck this evening.

“Keep an eye out for that other guy. Said he'll be here anytime now showing off his newest squeeze.”

That other guy Bolivar knew all to well much to his distain. The high roller in particular between all the card players here. Everyday there was something new and exotic brought in. Most of the time wholly useless but still feels the need to show it to the world. That guy was coming?

Just when I thought it was going to be a great night.

The high Bolivar was feeling still left him in a better mood then most. His deadpan stare held some degree of amusement from these passings, even with news of the showboater coming. Speak of the- there he was now!

“Hey we can start having fun now.”

A round of exclamations and welcomes greeted the man as he took his place at the table. He wasn't too bad when they were playing but he made an ungodly racket when showing off his newest acquisitions. He was fine for now...

“Rook here lost you two gold ones already. We gave him two sets of cards and he still lost.”

“Sorry about that.”

“Hey! That's nothing. You'll get the hang of it. Let's get started what game are we playing?”

Pointing at the die at the center of the table Bolivar then directed it back as his hand hovered just slightly above the silver cube.

“You got to tell me how you do that Bolivar.”

“Just gotta know what to look for while I do it. It's pretty simple. Enough about that. Let's get started shall we?”

With that the cards went shuffled and handed out in a prompt fashion. Bolivar tossing the pair of dice easily into the air all the while took a look at the cards given. He had the starting card in his hand, let's start off with a little chance.

“Three aces.”

A chorus of disbelief followed ending with a facedown two from the rookie to the left of him. Bolivar had counted on that. The kid was going to help him get away with some of the suspicious moves once or twice. That was all he needed. He was after all the playmaker. Gratuitous plays all aimed to win. After all that was why he gambled. Play to win.

oocSo nice to have someone else set the pace for the thread. Let's me concentrate on just posting. :)

Khepri was not a happy camper so to speak. She was a woman of class, at least she felt she should be treated as such, not some simpleton of a house maid. By the time she had reached the bar, Khepri had worked herself into quite a tissy but made no show of it as she addressed the bartender.

"Do you establish tabs?" she inquired. The dancer had no intention of paying for anything tonight. The bartender nodded in reply and asked who wished to open up the tab. Khepri hoped the bartender had seen her walk in with her date and recognized him, once she pointed him out. The look upon the man's face said he did and scowled at what seemed to be an unpleasant memory. Before he could say no, the Eypharian gave her best pouty face.

"I promise the tab wont become a substantial amount.." She slightly whined while leaning over the counter, giving him a nice view.

The bartender tried his best not to notice but failed miserably and kept glancing downwards. Finally he was able to pull his eyes away long enough to agree to her promise and ask her what she wanted. Khepri ordered a mug of beer for her date and a glass of expensive wine. He quickly filled her order and placed them on the counter. Placing a fake smile upon her face she bubbly thanked him and ushered the drinks to the table where her date rushed off to.

The dancer made no move to walk anything faster than a slight walk. She had no desire to spill either drink on her expensive dress nor bump into any one of these drunken fools, so it took a few ticks longer.

The table the man was sitting at was full and they seemed to be playing a game that was a cross between poker and dice. Khepri never have played this game so was completely clueless on the rules. Setting the man's drink beside him as a way to announce her presence. In all honesty she wished to throw it on him but kept that thought process to herself.

"I didn't know what you wanted so I just got your usual." She said in a sugary tone while waiting for him to get up and introduce her.

Charles (as she come to remember his name to be, thanks to one of the guys calling him that) didnt bother getting up but opted wrapped his arm around her waist and briskly pulled her to his lap but not before swiftly smacking Khepri on the butt. The dancer let out a small oof of surprise but played it off with a giggle and even managed to not spill her own drink. Dumping his drink all over his head was sounding better and better but wouldn't have a chance to entertain the idea.

"This sweet little thing here is Khepri." He chuckled before taking a long draw of his beer. Charles seemed happy he caught Khepri by surprise. If this wasn't his first drink the multiple arm woman could have swore he was drunk already.

oocI saw a chance to do alot of fluff and scene play for Nano here. Don't feel the need to match the length at all.

A more rounds around the table and Bolivar only got caught being a cheat twice so far. Only eight cards left in his hand and yet the end still seemed quite a ways off.

It wasn't until Charles started talking had he even noticed Khepri. Initially thinking she was the help in the tavern the truth finally revealing itself as she sat on the man's lap without qualm. Noticing the exotic tenor and the extra arms did nothing for the squire so far but there was one aspect about the new girl noticeable.

A few greetings and compliments were thrown around the table to a seemingly bashful Charles holding his date close. Bolivar had a few choice words for him in particular.

"Khepri?"

"Yes that's right Bolivar. Falling in love with my date already? It's been only one game! You dog you."

"Hardly. I am not really all too enticing looking like this. She's seems small... even being that tall."

"What are you talking about? Everyone is tall to you."

"Don't mind me. Go on it's your turn."

A quick more rounds and the players were in a stalemate, all desperate to be done with this game. The sore loser having the most cards out of the aggressively called out the liars of the group forcing a prolonged session of the liar game. All the while with Charles droning on much to Bolivar's dismay.

Khepri met when I was busy picking out some goods along the market. Nothing too fancy. Was just buying some stuff for the girl I was with at the time when I bumped into her. Changed my life seeing all those arms."

It was like that for the next few rounds with Charles recalling all the events that happened upon meeting Khepri. Now taking a hearty squeeze at her bum chuckled much too pleased with himself as he continued.

"That's when I learned of what the arms meant. An eypharian! Can you believe it? I'm thinking Khepri and me's the perfect match."

"Your a damned liar."

"What was that?"

A look of rage was shot at the squire before realizing what he meant. The cards. The squire meant he lied about what he put down. Right?

"Feh! Well Petch. How am I suppose to win now?"

With that only the rookie and Bolivar had any chance of winning any time soon... Which meant Bolivar had to set him up. A few more rounds and the stack in the middle grew and grew. With the last three cards in their hands Bolivar watched as finally the kid managed to give out a monumental tell placing down his sole face down ten card.

"Cheat!"

A groan of frustration came from Rook as he simply stared at the pile throwing his hands up in defeat.

"I'm out. Had enough with Marco holding us up."

Tch. Shyke.

That meant Charles was right next to him. Great. It was Bolivar's turn. Revealing the cards for all to see he eased the cards face up as he won the round.

"Three aces."

Taking the round's winnings for himself Bolivar smirked slightly seeing the various miffed expressions around the table. Taking out the silver die from its resting spot at the table Bolivar rolled the to see what their next game was.

One.

"Roll again."

Once again. One.

"Alrighty seeing as I'm already down two I am done for the night. Don't wanna risk more in this game."

"You heading out Marco? I'd better go too."

Gathering up his three Miza's he won for the evening Emile bowed out with Macro before leaving Charles and Bolivar to play by themselves.

"Ah the most expensive game cards can provide. How much you wagering Bolivar?"

"Five sound good?"

"What a gamble! Very well five Miza's from the both of us."

"What about Khepri? Wanna let her play?"

"What? No. She's just fine sitting where she belongs."

An was eyebrow raised at that. Looking back at Charles then at his date Bolivar merely shook his head in before quickly shuffling the stack if cards. A wandering gaze at Khepri before turning back to the dealt cards the squire wondered how loyal Khepri was to Charles. Nothing would make the squire to show up Charles once again.

"Ready buddy?"

A hand over the dice Bolivar directed the due back to its rest barely movin his fingers.A little more res was used in that instance leaving a very noticable breeze in the air. Finding his eyes back on Khepri actually considering the exotic woman's beauty looked away pitying her after looking at the rest of her figure.

"Let's get this over with."

Khepri was starting to get bored quickly. It might have been more interesting if she knew the rules and was playing with them but it seems Charles only brought her here for eye candy and be a lap warmer. Sipping on her wine, the dancer idly paid attention to the game as it progressed. She was more in tune with her current thought process. She was going to finish this date, keep this lovely dress and shoes and never ever ever ever go on a date with Charles again no matter how much the man begged her or anything else. Worse case scenario she would/could slap him around with her fan or something.

One of the men was kind enough to speak up on her behalf but before she could even say anything Charles quickly wrote her off and continued the next round. Silently fuming once again, Khepri returned to her dark thoughts of slapping the man silly with her fan.

The Eypharian was so engrossed with her thoughts and the subtle taste of wine upon her tongue that she hadn't realize the last remaining men had bowed out and it was only her date and another man, the same who had tried to work her into the game. The other man was clearly much shorter than her and probably towered even more so over him due to her heels. His medium length hair matched well with his deep kohl black eyes. If he wasn't so short, he was kind of cute but nothing she would ever admit.

Returning her attention back to the game, it seemed to be the shorter man's turn first. It seemed this game was going to take awhile and if that was the case she definitely needed more wine but before Khepri got up a slight breeze blew across the table. It was barely noticeable and probably only reason the dancer had noticed was because of her current interest in the man.

Wine long forgotten, Khepri wanted to watch this round. This man had peeked her interest and far past his looks now. This gamble house had windows but not the kind you can open and a breeze like that couldn't have come all the way from the front entrance. No this man was hiding something and she decided she would find out what it was exactly, at the first opportunity she got. For now it seemed, the Eypharian must observe her quarry then move in.

Khepri tried to remain inconspicuous and nonchalant about the card game and the man but it was hard to without a full glass of wine to make it appear as if she still didnt care for the game. So she opted to fiddle with Charles' hair, but continued to watch the game from the corner of her eye.
