Quinton J. Caravel Appearance Race: Human (of Svefra descent, perhaps Drykas as well but he doesn't know for sure as he's never met his father.) Gender: Male Age: 28 Birthday: First day of Spring, Green Watchstone, (513 - 28 =) Year 485 Birthplace: Claridon in Cyphrus. It's a long story, but we all know it: A young Svefra sailor away from her pod the first time, a handsome bartender, his disapproving mother, a return to the pod when Quint was four, and a life traveling from port to port ever since. Appearance: Completely nondescript and average looking. Not ugly or homely, and not amazingly handsome. The sort of face that changes depending on the owner's mood, a face that becomes uglier with a frown and handsomer with a smile. The only really unique thing this face has is a set of piercing blue eyes, proof of the Sverfra blood within him. Because he has been a bit of a rogue, literally and figuratively, having a face that could blend into the crowd has been quite useful to him, as it meant that should he mug or pickpocket someone it would make it that much harder for them to remember him. He has also taken pains to make sure that he has no marks, scars or tattoos on him that would identify him. He keeps himself just clean enough so that he is not offensive to anyone but not so much that he'd appear to be a fop or a dandy. He has also taken pains to make his voice the sort of average tenor that could be from anywhere; he is careful to speak as little as possible when he is anywhere where people might easily detect a very foreign accent. Character Concept Some people are destined for greatness. Some men grow up to be captains of vast armies, lords or governors of others, magicians of the highest caliber or clerics and those marked with the gnosis of gods. And then there is Quint Caravel. He just wanted to be a sailor, drinking and wenching his way through life. An easy-going man with a care-free disposition, congenial and laconic, he spent most of his life without any real ambition. Protected by his life in the Pod and by his vast number of friends and family, he never really had to grow up. There was always some new port to sail into, some new girl to ravish, some new trouble or adventure to find. He may have children out there, he may people wondering where he went, but ... Quint was never a guy to look backwards, or go to the same port twice. Character History Quint was never the type to focus on his past. But in the world of Mizahar, the past is never an easy thing to run from. In a world of second chances, a female rogue who thought Quint was indeed her one true love waited a decade for him to return, and then she went looking for him. Several times she just missed him, arriving in port after port to see the chaos and broken hearts he left in his wake. And then she caught up to him. And now Quint is not a happy-go-lucky man anymore. Language Fluent Language: Common.
