OOCDon't worry about it. I'm great at making something out of nothing ;)

The huntress finished her speech and waited for some sort of response. Recapping her words in her head she wondered if she should expect any sort of response aside from a noise or a word of acknowledgement. If someone said that to her, clearly arguing in favour of her job then she supposed she'd be lost for words too. She'd clearly made things awkward between herself and the unseen librarian for she could feel the movement of the water that suggested Euthisa was shifting restlessly.

When the woman spoke however she jumped, water splashing quietly around her and large ripples spreading out in concentric circles away from her. There had been no way that she could have known that the woman was going to speak, the steam from the hot water obscuring the librarian's face. But the rapid beating of her heart quickly abated as she made sense of what Euthisa was saying to her. A series of emotions flitted through her then: surprise, disbelief, joy and finally amusement. She had to stop herself from laughing at this ludicrous situation. Here were two young woman, clearly fond of their privacy, who were going to get out of a bath naked together to try to get to know each other.

This was one of those funny stories that just wasn't to be repeated. Ever.

Biting her lip thoughtfully, she stared into the steam as if searching it to try to see the young woman before she answered. "I do feel better, yes. I suppose that we could go and get dinner together or something. Have you had dinner yet? If not, going to dinner makes more sense than just wandering around aimlessly, don't you think?" she replied. Unable to believe what she was doing, the teen searched for some sort of purchase for her feet so that she could climb out. Finding it, she stood up and pulled herself out to sit on the pool edge then swung her legs out and stood up, shivering.

"Gods it's bloody cold when you get out!"

Azira agreed to go somewhere with Euthisa, making her happy but nervous. She was excited to finally meet the girl she'd been sitting in there talking to, but the point could not be ignored that they'd been talking naked in a bath together, albeit concealed behind fog. However, the other woman climbed out of the bath moments later, quick to exclaim how cold it was once you were out of the water. Gritting her teeth in worried anxiety at the change in temperature, the librarian stood and climbed out of the pool near Azira, already shivering with how much cooler the muggy air was than the water she'd been soaking in. "No I haven't had dinner yet. That sounds like a great idea!"

Through the fog, she could tell where Azira stood beside her, and the hues of her fiery red hair protruded through the cloudiness of the room, but that was all Euthisa could see. The fog was dense that far into the bathhouse, and it continued to conceal the girls in their awkward state of nakedness. "I left my clothes in a cubby hole up front." She started in that direction, hopeful that Azira was following her. She focused on keeping her mind blank, not allowing it to ponder the potential embarrassment of the girl behind her becoming able to see her as they approached the front where the fog was less thick. She kept her mind off the eery feeling of eyes watching her, hopeful that the girl would feel the same enough to focus on the same thing as they both got dressed. Not waiting to see where Azira needed to go to dress, Euthisa went straight to her cubby to gather her clothes, calling over her shoulder as she did.

"My clothes are over here, I'm going to get dressed and then wait by the doorway. Meet me there?" Euthisa couldn't tell how long they'd been soaking in there, but other than the bathhouse attendants gathering laundry and keeping the baths in running order, the other Inarta that had been in there to bathe when the girls had arrived were now gone, leaving the place mostly empty, much to the delight of the Chiet librarian. She dressed quickley, running fingers through her long crimson-violet locks, combing it out as much as she could until she arrived back at her room where her comb was. When she was all finished, she strode to the doorway as she'd said she would, and waited for Azira to meet her.

The huntress hopped from foot to foot, trying to warm herself and get off excess moisture at the same time. The tiles and her feet were slick with water and so she had to move carefully so as not to slip and break her neck. That'd be just her luck and it would be the second fall of the day. Slipping at the edge of a stone bath would not be a fun experience though so she'd have to avoid that. As she stood bouncing up and down, Euthisa climbed out of the bath near her. She should have been expecting her emergence but it still came as a shock, her mouth opening in an "O" of surprise. Her view of the woman was still limited (a blessing considering the circumstances) and so she couldn't say if she recognised her from her visits to the Enclave. All she could see was a vague outline and a glimpse of red hair. The red hair didn't exactly narrow things down by much.

The steam billowed around her and she realised that the librarian was moving, her words indicating the location of her clothes. Azira replied with a word of acknowledgement and followed the woman from a distance. As they moved from the area of the hotter baths, the steam began to dissipate and reveal that which had previously been hidden. The teen averted her eyes purposely from the swaying hips of the woman in front of her, instead glancing around the baths to discover that they had emptied while the pair had been socialising, if you could call it that.

Euthisa hurried off to her own cubby to get dressed and Azira went to hers to collect her own clothes, drying her body and hair quickly before slipping on a clean, dry set of clothes. When she was dry and dressed, the Avora moved to the entrance where she found Euthisa waiting for her. At least she assumed it was the librarian for who else could it be? Narrowing her eyes, she cocked her head to the side and scrutinised the woman. She was young, perhaps only a year or two older than herself and her was the most bizarre shade of red she'd ever seen. The features of the Chiet would hardly have helped her recall the shy woman but her hair made her stand out.

"I've seen you before!" she exclaimed in surprise, the fact a revelation to her. "Never talked to you but I have seen you."

[Tisuma Baths] The Unexpected Meeting (Euthisa)

Just a matter of moments flew by as Euthisa waited for the other girl to show. Knowing now that the bathhouse was empty, when a young and pretty woman appeared around the corner, Euthisa knew that it could only be Azira, the huntress she'd been conversing with for gods know how long now. She was beautiful, hair the true color and tones of a blazing fire, with reflective golden eyes to match. She embodied the typical revered look of the Inarta, both mildly shaming and empowering Euthisa for her more exotic version of their peoples' appearance.

She reached the librarian within a few strides, exclaiming that she'd seen her before but never talked to her. A quirky smile was Euthisa's response, sarcasm flashing through her mind that with her not so common shade of hair color and tattoos, she was reasonably hard to miss, though she'd never be outspokenly so rude. Giggling, Euthisa turned to the doorway as Azira reached her side, leading the way to go and get dinner together. Cocking her head a bit, Euthisa looked harder at the woman next to her, trying to remember if she'd ever seen her before. She dealt with so many people on a daily basis at the Enclave, it was hard to remember anyone specifically unless they were in there often. However, Azira didn't look familiar to her. "Yay for recognizing me! Hahaha, however... Afraid I don't recall seeing you before. I don't get out much." The librarian shrugged.

Wishing not to continue on in awkward silence, she looked again to the huntress. "Tell me more about you? How did you become a hunter, besies the fact that most of us do as we grow up?"

Euthisa seemed to find her exclamation funny. She shot a little smile in the direction of the huntress and then giggled as she started to lead the way out. The girl's cheeks warmed. Azira frowned in thought as she followed the woman, wondering what on Mizahar had she said to cause such a reaction. She hadn't said anything amusing so was it possible that the librarian was laughing at her? She was probably just being paranoid again but she couldn't be sure that the woman hadn't been laughing at her expense.

As she followed Euthisa still thinking, her eyes finally alighted on her tattoos. She'd been too busy scrutinising the woman's face before to notice. Her lower back had some sort of strange creature on it with wings, something that seemed familiar from a story or something but she couldn't think which one. The librarian's left arm was covered in ink work as well, the details she couldn't really see until she was beside the woman but then she pondered the reasoning behind the figures and flowers that covered the woman's arm. Curious, she was about to ask but then Euthisa spoke.

Laughing lightly in response, the Avora shrugged to show that she didn't mind. "It's okay, I'm not that noticeable. I'm pretty good at seeming invisible to other people." It was true. She didn't do it intentionally but somehow she escaped many people's sight. It wasn't as if she went sneaking around the place or anything, people just didn't pay attention.

The question about herself made her wince. She hated when people asked that kind of thing, was that all that they knew how to ask? Why did they have to ask anything in the first place? The reason behind it escaped the huntress but she thought carefully about her answer. Perhaps she should just write down her story and learn it off like a speech, it would save time trying to decide on what details to share. The woman didn't need to know absolutely everything and Azira didn't want her to either.

"Well I was good at archery when I was younger but I'd never thought about becoming a hunter. One day I was out with some Yasi, and I had my bow with me just in case, when this rabbit ran out in front of us and froze. It must have been terrified, frozen in place and while it was like that I shot it. When I brought it back to Wind Reach, I was so pleased with myself, so proud, that I decided that that was what I wanted to do. So I worked hard and I caught the eye of a huntress, Si'ira when I was 11. I was apprenticed to her until I was 15 and I've been going it alone since," she explained simply. It was only a very brief synopsis but she wasn't going to bore the woman with unnecessary details.

Following the same line of conversation, Azira asked, "So how did you end up as a librarian?"

[Tisuma Baths] The Unexpected Meeting (Euthisa)

Euthisa listened politely and intently as Azira thought of her answer and then began to tell it. She told a sweet story of how she sort of stumbled into hunting, and it was logical and made sense as a Yasi in Wind Reach. Most Yasi became hunters, as that was how their people survived. This reminded Euthisa just how badly she needed to make time for the ranges. She was a poor shot for an Inartan woman, and she was indeed ashamed of this. She'd become such a homebody and a solitary person. She definitely needed to get out more.

At the mention of Sira, the librarian's face lit up. Euthisa'd lost track of how long it had been since she'd last seen or talked to the woman, but they'd shared some fun times and the Chiet thought of those times often. The woman had always been a blast and a bubbly personality in the mix of things and Euthisa had thoroughly enjoyed her time near her. Smiling to herself in thought, she commented. "Sira. I miss her. Good times."

Focusing back on the conversation at hand, it didn't surprise Euthisa when the huntress asked the same question of her. "My mother loved books. She read to me daily when I was with her as a child and spoke to me of the words within them. The importance of what's recorded by our ancestors, whether it was their stories or their findings. The written word is a precious gift and not to be taken lightly. Needless to say, I grew up in love with books. I spent so much time in the library that when I was fifteen, I received the opportunity to apprentice there and here I am today. I've grown to love the solitude and the time it gives me to think and focus on my life." She smiled at the young huntress.

Now that the huntress had given her answer, she waited patiently to hear Euthisa's. Becoming a hunter was a well known process in Wind Reach. Everybody knew that you ended up apprenticed to a hunter after you'd shown the necessary skill. There were a few details that were different from person to person but there wasn't anything that unusual about Azira's story, except perhaps for her age. How one became a librarian though... Was there an apprenticeship for that? It seemed a strange idea, especially as she had no idea what sort of skills one would have to look for in a librarian.

Euthisa's account surprised her though. The librarian had been chosen as a likely candidate because of the amount of time she spent in the library as a Yasi. It shouldn't have been that strange really, it made sense to choose someone who clearly loved to be in the Enclave. It just sounded peculiar to her for some reason, probably because it wasn't really an occupation that you had to work for in order to acquire it. She could be wrong of course. The huntress couldn't see there being too many positions for librarians so it was probably amazingly lucky that the other woman had gotten it at all. Did she have any skills that might have worked in another occupation?

"Oh I see. Well that certainly sounds different. There can't be that many librarians, can there? So you must have been really lucky to get a job as one? If you hadn't become a librarian, where so you think you would have ended up? If I wasn't a huntress, I don't know where I'd have ended up. I can cook a little bit, a very little bit but maybe I would have picked up more skills if I hadn't been apprenticed so young," she explained as they entered the Kitchens. The room was full of activity but most of it seemed to be because people were leaving. They'd left the baths quite late apparently.

"I've no falconry skills to speak of, strange I know considering what are people are into. Birds hate me so even a Wind Eagle won't look twice at me. Glassworking and me? We don't happen either." The young woman shrugged it off as if it was nothing but really the attitudes of birds towards her always upset her.
