AppearanceRace: Konti
Gender: Female
Age: 40
Birthday: 12, Spring, 473.
Birthplace: Mura
Appearance: Slenta's skin and hair are as pale as the moon she has strode beneath for most of her life. Her eyes bear a solemn look, a look devoid of warmth. Some might even say her eyes are as cold as a winter night. Roughly the same color as her skin, scales are seen across her forehead, neck, feet, and crawling up her legs and spine. She often wears a black cloak in public, to hide her features. She is roughly 5'7". When it comes to her nose, lips, and breasts, they are of average proportions. Her eyes are a pale blue, almost white in appearance. She bears the mark of Avalis in the form of a lily behind her left shoulder.
Character ConceptFirst and foremost, Slenta is a distant, and cold individual. She has been around death for a good portion of the later part of her life, and she is hardened to it. She has a soft spot for slaves, and dislikes seeing them mistreated without cause. She will rarely lift a finger to save them, however.
Slenta is witty, able to adjust to many situations. She will generally only act if she is assured there will be few repercussions, hence she dislikes magic, and is weary of its use.
Her two favorite possessions in the entire world are her Suvai. She is completely obsessed with them. If her Suvai ever happen to vanish, she would probably dedicate her life to get them back.
Her Konti gift is a subject of struggle for her. The ability to sense when an individual is sleeping also applies to herself. She will sometimes wake herself due to the combined presence of herself and many other individuals invading her senses. She prefers to sleep during the day, and stay awake at night. She is more or less nocturnal.
Slenta meditates with her Divination, peering into her chavi before sleeping almost daily. Through doing so, she has glimpsed images and feelings from her past life. She has gleamed that before she was Konti, she was Human. She now believes that she was a Human in Ahnatep, part of a group of thieves and thugs. She knows little else.
She is a worshiper of Akajia, and frequently prays to Akajia to hide her advances, and keep her secrets. Due to this, she is quite secretive and finds discomfort in people who know too much about her. She is not quick to spill her secrets.
Character HistoryA Konti, Slenta's life began on Mura. When she was thirty years old she left on a boat to the mainland. There, she joined a caravan to explore the world. However, exploring would prove a grave mistake. The wilds were inhospitable, and danger was around every corner. She quickly learned to develop poisons to assist her companions in felling the monsters that crossed their path, but it did nothing to stop a group of bandits from raiding the merchants in the Cobalt Mountain Range. She was captured, and from that day her hell had begun.
Slenta was forced into servitude. She labored at the command of her captors, and prepared vile poisons for them. Her Suvai, her prized possessions from home, were taken and put on display in the bandit supervisor's tent. She was informed they would be sold after the next raid.
Slenta then met her sole salvation, a Human girl by the name of Nori. She was an Herbalist for the bandits, and had been so for years. Nori taught Slenta the arts of stealth, and moving quietly. It was something Slenta enjoyed; she was good at it. However, the reason Nori had taught her these skills soon became apparent..
One night, Nori found Slenta and they silently moved toward the supervisor's tent. Slenta was to take back her Suvai, slay the supervisor, and make off with some bandit treasure which would be split between Nori, her, and a few other slaves who were prepared to assist in their escape. In fact, these slaves had already made a ruse to get rid of the guards that were stationed outside.
Quietly, carefully, Slenta opened the tent. She could sense the supervisor was asleep, or at least unconscious. She tip-toed over to the nightstand, the familiar twisted horns of her Suvai faintly glimmering in the darkness. She picked up a single Suvai, then made her way to the side of the supervisor's bed. She raised her Suvai in the air, and then brought the pointy end down upon the man's head. There was a faint gasp of pain followed by silence. Slenta began to stab the man repediately, gouging out the man's eyes and his cheeks. When she was finished, her hands were coated with blood, and flecks of blood covered her tunic.
She emerged from the tent a changed woman. Slaves brushed past her to raid the tent of valuables as the soft glow of fire illuminated the camp. Everything was in turmoil. "Come on, we need to go!" Nori shouted, grabbing Slenta's arm.
When they reached the safety of the slave camp, far from the bandits, she sat down and retreated into her chavi and began to replay the scene of her killing the bandit over and over again in her mind. Through doing so, she began to feel what she did was right, a necessity for survival.
The group of slaves began to journey toward Sunberth. It was a difficult journey, though they had weapons. Wild beasts picked off a few of them, but they still persevered; Slenta among them. On the way there, Nori told her how she was a worshiper of Akajia. When Nori offered to teach Slenta about her religion, she gratefully accepted. Perhaps Akajia had been watching over her and her companions the night she killed the bandit, enshrouding their flight.
When Slenta finally did arrive in Sunberth, she and Nori and the few remaining slaves scattered. Slenta was alone, but she had found her calling. It has been three years since she arrived in Sunberth.

Gnosis & AbilitiesRank 1 Divination- Marked followers of Avalis bear the first bloom of the Seer’s Lily and can delve into the Chavena at will seeking individual chavi and reading the past. Their sight at this level is rough. It can be unpredictable and hit-or-miss, but if they can indeed find the chavi they are looking for and read of its past, they have no problems coming up with answers to questions that might be presented to them. At this level, individuals cannot read the present or the future. There is also very little danger of mental illness or the seers becoming lost in the Chavena.
Somnia Sensing- Slenta can sense living people or animals that are sleeping or unconscious. The ability works through walls, though she cannot tell where the individual is solely by this sense. She can, however, tell what race the individual is or differentiate between sleeping individuals if she can see them. Her sense has a range of up to 100 feet. While asleep, Slenta can sense herself and others who are sleeping. This results in insomnia when the sense causes her to awaken on occasion. She often cannot sleep at night due to the greater magnitude of sleeping people, and thus prefers a nocturnal lifestyle.
