Amelia had trouble believing that the girl was full, but she was nobody to force her any food. Lets face it, Amelia hatted being food-forced herself, and the child must be frightened to near death from the experience of…almost kidnapping. ”That’s a lovely name, but a mouthful, can I maybe call you something shorter…like Eng?” she questioned, not really put of the desire to form some sort of familiarity between them, just to not have to force out the full name each time she would want to address her. ”I’m Amelia”

The girl was really young, and judging by the way she spoke, Amelia had a guess that she didn’t spend that much time speaking with strangers, what was reasonable since the child was really young and even in a city like Syliras, you could find bad strangers. Though, Amelia was quite pleased to find out she could be a great cat-owner ”Thank you, I’ll keep that in mind when I pick up a cat again, hopefully not a kelvic, as this is practically kidnapping”she giggled it off with a wave of her hand.

Clothes, she had never met a kelvic who would be bothered by this, but in the given situation, the child was just cold…Amelia looked the girl up and down, trying to figure would she have something to give her to wear. Well, there would be little to nothing, but she was quite sure there could be a dress or two that could fit her. ”just a chime” she smiled and headed over to her dresser-trunk. There she dug over most of her clothing, until at the bottom she found her older dresses. There were two, a yellow one and a black one, they should fit her, but they were quite long and full on the bottom.

”here you are” Amelia handed the girl bout dresses to choose from. Forgetting about the little detail known as underclothing. But there were little chances that she would actually find something of her own to lend to the girl. ”so tell me, what were you doing all alone there? Its not safe to wonder alone, even at a city like Syliras”

She asked if she could call her 'Eng'. "S..sure.. I don't mind. " After a bit of thinking, she smiled. "Amelia." That sounded nice. "A-me-li-a." It was nice to know what her name was. Now she could give the nice girl a name and she wasn't just 'that girl that picked me up and brought me to my home'. Names were rather inportant to her. If someone did not tell Engghaen their name, she would make up one. 'The fish woman', 'the annoying carpet mister'. She giggled at the thought. 'The fish woman' had been a woman which resembled much of a very ugly fish she had seen somewhere. It was a cross between an ale and a mole and the woman had just the chin for that. The weird thing was that Enggy hadn't seen this woman once, but three times on one day. The fish woman had been following her that day...

Kidnapping? No, no, it was just being nice to her! "No, you didn't kidnap me, because if it would be kidnapping I would have scratched you when you took me." This was her own, weird logic, but in Enggy's mind this made perfect sense.

Amelia went over to a big trunk and started trowing out all kinds of dresses. Blue, purple, with laces, big, small, old... She could truly not believe what somebody would do with so many dresses. Then she came back with two dresses, a black one and a yellow one. She picked the black one and shoved it over her head, murmling a thank you. It was way too big on the bottom and it was quite an adorable sight, this small girl in a dress much too big.

"I was trying to get home from the market. Daddy said I would need to go over the roofs, but..." She hesitated to admit that she did not do what her father had told her. "... But I didn't. I got lost on the streets with all those feet and people kicking you and all those shops look the same when you're as small as me.. And then you picked me up and I hoped you would take me to my home but you didn't."

Happy she could tell this, the small girl curiously awaited an answer.

Amelia smiled, glad that she could just use the shortening of the cat’s name, the full one was truly too long for her to use. ”That is also true, you seemed to be much too easy going to be considered a victim of a vicious kidnapper, not that I can be considered much of a vicious kidnapper myself...I faint and get scared much to easily for that” the girl giggled in a light tone that matched the younger girls earlier giggle’s.

The Cross was disappointed that the dresses she gave were too big for the girl, but that was the oldest she had, anything else would be even bigger...anything older is already torn into rags. His will just have to do unless the girl wants to get back into her comfy cat form and run off. Needless to say, Amelia liked her company and was not that happy about the idea of her running off like a white flash. ”I’m sorry, but that is as close to your size as I can get, here let me help, maybe I can get it to work” Amelia smiled and taking a long ribbon colored in white, came behind the girl. The ribbon was simple, noting fancy and her mother had different kinds of these laying around. Amelia used this to sort of tuck in around the girls waist like a belt. Well, this was probably as good as Amelia could get this to look.

”funny that you thought that I would bring you to your home, considering I was a stranger and had no idea where you live, and still have no idea where you live if we want to be precise...you know, you should listen to your father...though the rooftops aren’t the best idea either” Amelia had to admit as she tapped her finger against her chin ”well, the citadel is dangerous, but I can help you find your way, if you aren’t scared to walk with a kidnapper”

Huh? What was this? She wasn't a vicious kidnapper at all! "N..no, why do you think that? You gave me milk! Vicious kidnappers never give people milk." That made sense to her, and that was all. She had been nice and gentle so Engghaen shoudn't complain. It could've been much worse, in her opinion.

"I'm sorry, but this is as close to your size as I can get.." Engghaen shook her head. It was fine, but Amelia had already started wrapping her in a white ribbon. She smiled broadly. "Thank you! It looks beautiful to me." the kitten said. And it fit better anyway. Engghaen never wore that much dresses and if she did they were rather old. This one, instead, looked briiliant in her opinion.

Now that she thought of it, this made a whole lot of sense. "Oh." she said simply. "I'm alright. You are a nice person, a kind person. Can you take me home.. Miss.. Erm.. Alemnia? Malnemia? Alimia?"

To Amelia it was funny to see a child who thought she was a good person, only because she gave her milk. ”she must be so innocent, such a gentle thing that is new to the world” and so it must have been, since kelvics grow faster, this girl could have been what, 1…2 years old? No more than that, she was sure.

The girl had always been much too perfectionist about clothing, she liked everything to be well done, good tailoring and fine detail. Everything had to fit the body perfectly or it looked awful in her eyes. Then again, if the girl was happy and seemed to like the dress, she had no right to point out the flaws. From hard experience she has learned that pointing out the bad things, only leads to negative thoughts and the people around you don’t have a liking for negative. So instead, she just smiled and ignored the parts that still could have been fixed.

She giggled in a rather childish manner, she rarely had to hear her name being mispronounced or all over…nearly forgotten. So this was a bit of a change ”Amelia, Amelia Cross if you want to be formal” the black haired girl smiled as she repeated her own name. When she was young she never really liked her name, but somehow growing up had changed her mindset.

”but sure, let’s take you home little kitten, we can’t keep your family worried, now can we?” another light chuckle, somehow the company of the innocent child had lifted her mood quite a bit. She walked over to the doors and opened them for the girl to walk through, soon after her the older girl would follow. ”you lead the way”

oocI’m terribly sorry for the long wait.

She smiled as the woman repeated her name. She had been so stupid to forget it.
oocSimilar. Sorry...

"Amelia. O... Okay. I should remember that for next time."
And then the young girl realised it was time to go. She had to say bye, or, well, after she had shown the woman the way. The cat nodded and skipped forward happily. Just then she realised Amelia needed to go with her and she walked back, grabbing her hand tightly and this way she dragged her forward through the busy streets, left, right, turns, not seeming to mind the people a lot.

"Thank you, miss. But I'll be fine from here. It was good for as long as it lasted." And with that, the young girl let go of Amelia's hand, turning around briefly. She looked serious, but the cat's eyes sparkled in a way only child's eyes could. Then she turned around and took off, running on her own through the crowd. She had to get home before Father would get too mad.
