A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

~ Amolina Moletta ~
~ 70 th day of Fall 513 AV ~
Just like previous audition she had done, in summer, the audition for A Trip to the Temple was held in a simple and cheap location in The Docks. It looked like a warehouse, the same one actually…And once again, Amolina didn’t hesitate to step in. Auditions were more often than not held in inexpensive places, and this warehouse seemed to be a favorite audition place for Deepwater Theater.
Entering the building silently, she looked around. It really looked like a warehouse, as simple as she remembered it. The room was still empty, and had no windows. The auditions was done just like the previous time, inside a half circle lanterns placed on the floor, shadows moving over the wall behind when the performer danced. Though Amolina had been at the same kind of odd audition before, she was intrigued this time too.
She was early again. Another audition was still ongoing. The performer was blonde, willowy, beautiful and at the end of a highly dramatic monologue. The light from the lanterns made her very light blond hair look like silver. Feeling a bit troubled, as she had lost to a blonde last time and this might mean they preferred blondes, Amolina watched the competitor … She was good. The competition was obviously serious this time too. |

Seymor Essing looked just like she remembered him. He was man with long curly black hair was watching the show. His unbuttoned velvet jacket and his trousers and boots were as black as his hair, but his shirt was white and richly decorated with cascades of lace falling from the high neck and spilling out from the ends of the jacket’s sleeves. The expression on his face was as serious and focused as it had been last time she saw him.
The costume specialist stood beside him. Aydury Hines. She was thin, skinny, looking even more starved than last time, her cheeks more than slightly hollow now, like the face of a prisoner who had spent a long time in some terrible jail…. The woman’s eyes were looking very big and dark and her light brown hair was arranged in a high, elaborate and somewhat fluffy style that made her pale face look even more bony. She had on a pale grey blouse with embroideries and a long plain skirt of darker grey cloth. It was beautiful, or at least interesting, in a colorless and spooky way.
Now and then the two of them spoke with each other in low voices. It was impossible to hear what they were saying, from where Amolina stood, right inside the door.
When the blonde’s performance ended she went to sit on a crate at the other side of the room. it was now Amolina’s turn to perform. Her posture straight in order to strengthen her self-assurance, Amolina walked over to the man in black and the thin woman, greeted them politely and waited for instructions. |

“Welcome Miss Moletta. I remember you. And your … dance, last time.” As usual, the man didn’t smile. His voice was serious and professional. Aydury Hines nodded briefly at Amolina. Her odd and fluffy light brown mass of hair bobbed, just like Amolina remembered it.
Seymor Essing made a gesture towards the half circle of lanterns. “The stage is yours, Miss Moletta.”
Greeting them, Amolina took off her cloak, left it on a crate, and entered the half circle framed by lanterns that served as “stage”. The atmosphere in the room was as mystic as it had been the previous time. It definitely seemed suitable for the monologues she would try this time and not as absurd as it had been to perform The Barmaid Monologue from The Dastard of The Docks in this place, in this unusual arrangement of lanterns, in front of Seymor Essing and Aydury Hines.
Amolina had rehearsed the love scene monologue and the only thing she could do now was perform. She started by making a short presentation of her topic. |

“Love’s Treacherous Allure” Seymor Essing. He spoke slowly. “I have never heard about that play before Miss Moletta. But the title is promising. Start please…”
Amolina walked over the floor, like she was walking over to somebody, an invisible presence there in the room, a counterpart only existing only in her imagination. She moved like a person who isn’t sure what will happen, hesitantly, slowly, cautiously. This body language had felt appropriate when time she had been rehearsing for a while. Now she acted it out.
She started to speak and the monologue flowed out of her what she hoped was a good way. She had not played this role before and although she was a fairly competent actress the style was new to her. Then again it was new to the director too, she took it.
Her performance seemed to merge mysteriously with the atmosphere in the room. Seymor Essing and Aydury Hines watched silently, and just like the previous time they didn’t smile even once. Amolina worked on until she was done. Essing thanked her solemnly and asked her to go on to the second monologue, the dramatic one.
Had the two very serious spectators liked the monologue or not? Just like the previous time : Impossible to say! They seemed to have made unreadable faces an art they mastered to perfection. |

It was time for The Night of The Nuit. As it turned out, Essing and Hines weren’t familiar with that one either. “Carry on miss Moletta! “ Essing said all the same. Hines just stared.
Switching from hot love to dark drama in a few chimes wasn’t easy. But Amolina had switched between role many times before. She had done so many auditions….most of them without getting a role. It was that way for all actors. In particular for Amolina Moletta, it could seem.
Just like she used to do, she stepped out of one role and into another, switched personality from passionate lover to confused ghost speaking with a nuit. She started at the monologue and as often happened she was soon carried away. This monologue was one of the weirdest she had ever played, she thought. Both the characters lacked bodies, sort of, just in different ways.
It was the kind of monologue that no sane person would like to hear. When she was done with it she felt spent.
The audition was over. The two theather people thanked her in their usual serious way and said they would come back to her if she would get the role. A new period to waiting lay before here, and after saying farewell politely she took her cloak and left.
