Surviving is Paramount

17th of Fall 513

Aose found herself in a classroom this fine day. It wasn’t exactly thrilling for the girl, lets face it. Who wants to be in a classroom full of loud and annoying yasis when they could be at the range planting shafts of wood tipped with a point into targets? Aose didn’t want to be in said classroom, yet that’s where she is. The instructor, a portly man, stood at the front of the room, in his hand was a stick of chalk. Sadly, it was a lecture and it seemed to be an important one.

It wasn’t exactly stellar news to Aose, the topic, but it proved to be something she really did need to learn. This was the yasi lecture on Wilderness Survival, a full bell of the portly avora droning on about tent configurations, water sources, and fire starting. Droning on was more like it, he sounded like a bored instructor stuck in a room just as much as they were. Aose sighed, her head in hand, elbow on table, it took all her collective might to listen.

Maybe we can spark this man’s interest so we don’t all die of boredom? Her hand rose as if in question, her body straightened to make it appear all that more like she had a question to ask. When the man called upon her Aose smiled, “In all seriousness, do you really want to be in this room rambling and ranting on about the techniques and how-to’s of any of that? I mean seriously. Why not take us outside and show us? Teach us? Instruct us.” Aose was attempting to get them all out of this forsaken room, it was already bad enough that the whole city of Wind Reach lived in the petching volcano, did they have to teach in the blasted thing too?

The man laughed, “I would love to do that, but frankly... No.” Her attempt was shot down just as fast as it took flight.
