Physical Description
He's a short but sprite young man. Physically fit and pale skinned with deep blue eyes, sandy blonde hair and a rather fair face to match. Overall, despite his athletic appearance he comes off rather unimposing much to the surprise of those he attacks.
Character Concept
Xelin is hotheaded and recklessly impulsive and that should be the first impression most people get from him. He can run his mouth off at times and it can get him into trouble, especially if he can't back it up, which he never stops to think if he can. He can be a joker and an opportunist but at his core is a good person who thinks he can make people's lives better through music, as naive as it sounds. He has a soft spot for children and the poor and hates genuine cruelty and hypocrisy. He also carries no love for government, magic users, and military types. He does however, love women and drinking and of course, music.
Character History
Xelin's life did not begin happily to say the least. His father left his mother while he was an infant and his mother abandoned him a few years after that, though to be fair to her 5 years with him was more than most could handle. Left out on the streets of Sunberth, Xelin made his way scraping by whatever he could get. He never resorted to begging but instead stole from and fought the kids who did. Things worked themselves out in this sense and one could say Xelin had a vague sense of happiness.
One day, Xelin crossed paths with a bard, who at that point was more a vargrant anyway. Xelin became enrapture by the bard's lute and would bring the bard food in exchange for hearing the music. One day, however, when Xelin was bringing the man food, he found that the bard was nowhere to be seen. He'd left the slums and alleyways, but had left behind his instrument. Xelin, having no legitimate training, tried his hand at the instrument. He was something of a natural.
On the streets he played regularly and soon decided that he could make his living traveling from city to city as a bard. So far this daring adventure he's embarked on has led to more scraps than performances. Around local taverns he's known as one of the most violent bards on the road, prone to attacking hecklers and critics on sight.He's also had to resort to other, less legal means of supporting himself when the tavern patrons don't pay well, if at all. This "resorting to" has wound up with Xelin being considered a thief in as many cities as he's considered a bard, if not more. It's not easy living the life of a bard.
