Winter 513 Calendar The chill of Winter will bring with it a much needed calm in Zeltiva, a time to rest and recover from the confusion of the previous season. The newly elected Lord of Council has been noted by many in the city to be a return to the previous rubber stamp. The former acting Regent, Ignotus Everto has a tendency to make a number of the Regents and a few officials in the Sailors Guild uncomfortable with his sudden sway behind the scenes. Whispers are abound of the man's sorcerous ability, whispers that can be spoken into the ears of any who know where to look... The new de facto voice of the Denvali, Justus, will be holding a party of sorts within the Quarter itself late in the season in an attempt to smooth over any remaining hostilities from the previous seasons. Most of the high society will be invited though all will be welcome to attend should they so desire, for a small entry fee. Proceeds from the event will go towards betterment of the city's infrastructure as a whole. Events -Denvali Party Dates to be aware of 1st of Winter: The season change occurs, the Board of Regents and the Heads of various Departments in the University meet to discuss changes to the existing system. 4th of Winter: Another expedition is sent into the Ancient Quarter, however they are quick to simply disappear. 10th of Winter: Talks are held between the Sailors Guild and University as to the possibility of quarantining the Ancient Quarter to protect the general public. 15th of Winter: Regular patrols are placed around the Ancient Quarter, any unsanctioned vessels passing too close to the Quarter are subject to summery impound. 20th of Winter: A few trading vessels return to the city, bringing with them much needed supplies and rations for the rest of the winter. 40th of Winter: The Lord of Council approves the Denvali request for increased security measures in the Quarter to be lessened. Nonetheless, the Wave Guard maintain a presence in the Quarter to appease those still suspicious of the Denvali. 55th of Winter: Trading vessels depart the city once more, heading north to Sunberth. 75th of Winter: Justus, the new leader of the Denvali, announces a party being held in the Quarter and leaves it up to the citizens of the city if they wish to attend. 80th of Winter: The Denvali Party is held. Winter Challenges These are just fun little challenges set to players that are optional but fun to complete. Challenges are listed by month but can be completed in any order you see fit and just have to be finished and done within a given season. Those that complete all of the challenges will earn a shiny Zeltiva seasonal challenge medal for their work. Status Points and other goodies are available for those who complete lesser numbers as well, so everyone is a winner! Each challenge must be either included in the thread or the focus of the thread itself. The threads don't have to be complete as long as the challenge itself is completed within it. December: -Catch cold from the chilly weather. -Learn a new trade skill (e.g. Cooking, Blacksmithing, ect.) -Stock up on warm clothes for the winter! January: -Catch wind of a rumor regarding Ignotus Everto. -Read a book from the Public Section of the University Library. -Visit the lovely gals and/or guys at the Loveless! February: -Gamble in a shady East Street bar. -Attend the party in the Denvali Quarter. -Pray to Laviku or Zulrav at their respective shines and leave an offering.
