Heirloom
Extended Artist's tool kit with numerous different types of brushes, tubes of both oil and watercolour paint, a makeshift palette, pencils, graphite and so on. All this is enclosed inside an ornamental dark wooden box which, though clearly used, still glistened with wine red hues. He had shown early artistic potential and so this was gifted to him from his mother on his 6th birthday - afterwords being ritualistically maintained and refilled with fresh paint year after year.

Housing
A small flat which he shares with his father atop the man's business. One bedroom, a makeshift living room/ kitchen and a storage room with a large window overlooking Nyka's roof tops which he had since transformed into his own tiny paradise.

Appearance
Handsome but slight, very slight. Like a reed, he's tall and skinny and pale - so very pale in fact that he could be almost confused for a Konti, if not for hiss apparent male gender. Atlin's facial features are very sharp, with overly defined cheek bones and a chiselled jaw, a light nose and pale lips. Skin of alabaster. Eyes a frosty blue. Black brows and long lashes contrasting sharply with that blonde mop of hair, fine and seemingly always grown out of its short crop.

Personality

Manner
Appearing somewhat quiet and reserved at first glance, it may take a moment for someone to properly establish lines of communication with Atlin. He's polite, eloquent, yet clearly fond of his personal space. He can however become assertive, cold and indeed verbally confrontational if the need be however he is very unlikely to actually loose his temper. One thing is certain and it seeps from every fibre of his being. He has the eyes and the manner of a very self motivated and indeed self reliant man

Religion and Faith
Naturally revering Xannos (his home quarter's patron deity) Atlin had always had a somewhat secretive and and indeed twisted fixation with Uldr and Dira. Perhaps it stemmed from growing up around death, or some other strange reason. That is inexplicable.

History
The story of Atlin Redding is quite uneventful to be honest. He was born the unfortunate fruit of a love that was too fast and burned too hot to last and when his mother left for Zeltiva shortly after he turned six years old - never to be seen again - he had moved with his father into a tinderbox of an apartment hinging atop Nyka itself. As far back as his memory would reach, his father had worked as an undertaker for a small business in Laviku's city, so even as a child he was indeed exposed to death. Spending his youth sheltering from the sun and avoiding the exercise every little boy should get, he'd been perpetually buried in oil and canvases or have his nose stuck in books about anything and everything.
