Both Brom and Tierra lept to Celeste's aid as she scrambled from the pit. Brom knelt down, gently cradling the girl's small form close to his chest as he moved to Tierra's side, carefully laying the girl on her back, her head resting on the other woman's lap. Tierra was already reaching in her back, withdrawing a water skin and clothing, wetting it to dab at Celeste's forehead.
Brom sat cross-legged across from them, his face unreadable, "Twenty-five chimes... That was how long you were in the hole this time." He rubbed a hand over his face, eyes concerned, "You... still have quills sprouting from your head..."
With her hair, and over the ridge of her eyes, short quills poked out. Some bit into Tierra's thigh, but she did not seem to mind as she gently dabbed at Celeste's forehead, brushing back her hair and whispering soft words of comfort to the girl. Brom looked frustrated as he closed his eyes, rubbing his temples, but Tierra seemed serine as she gently lifted Celeste's head, giving her the water skin to drink from, "The Pit was hear before the Wardens were established, but no one seems to know what it was originally for... " Her voice was calm, softly spoken in that lyrical accent that all Eypharians held. She brought a leaf to Celeste's lips, and when she chewed it she would feel her muscles relaxing, her djed doing the same, becoming more malleable, able to be manipulated once more, "Riyanna was the first to discover its effects, and she trained in the pit for seasons, perfecting her techniques. She then taught Brom and myself the secrets of the pit, allow us to undergo our training as well. Sadly you were not able to undergo the same training we had... But I can still tell you the secret to success."
She gently released Celeste's head, leaning back on one of her hands as she chewed on a leaf herself, "It is in the Mantra you heard. Let us forever change... That is the basis for our training, the inner theory of morphing. As a morpher you must learn to let go of what you know to be yourself, and allow yourself to become something more. The more you fight, and resist, the more it will break you, until finally your djed will no longer be able to take the strain and crumble... The Pit is where you will learn to adapt to the changes, to let go of your identity. You have to realize that you are more than just Celeste. You are... anything at all."
Tierra smiled down at the girl, brushing her hair aside and humming softly under her breath. Brom sat in silence, sullen as always, though he did finally speak, "Don't rush it. Takes a long time to get used to having something else control what you are... but as long as you do not forget who you are, or who you want to be, it will all be alright... Let us forever change." He nodded slowly, in assent to Tierra's own words.
