Osd had used the fact that everybodies attention had been on the unconcious girl to look around a bit. The orphinage looked pretty much like every other sunberthian housing. Worn, shoddily build and ready to collaps without constant maintenance. Same for the furniture inside of it. 'Whoever is building this shyke needs to be drowned. Petching lazy work it is.' He thought with a scowl. He didn't know much about building stuff other then blacksmithing and at times patching a leak in the roof of his masters smithy. But he guessed that with some work even he could get a better building up then this pile of shyke. He picked up a few words from the woman's conversation. Biting back a derisife snort when she called him a savior. As if, he just had been bored and pissed enough to interviene with the bastards. He wasn't a goody goody two shoes like those knights he heard about sometimes. If there had been more guy's or if they hadn't been drunk of their arse he would have just kept his own life and minded his own bussines. He wasn't a good person in the least! Still, he couldn't help to feel a bit satisfied when she told it like that though. But he quickly tried to push it down. Good people got crushed here. Then the woman left. Leaving only him and the kid. He would have been fine just waiting till he was sure the little kid was mostly fine and then leaving, just keeping a bit of an eye on her before the woman came back. Unfortunally for him, the girl had other plans. She crawled out of her bed and unsteadily walked the few steps over to him and hugged him tightly. “er.. Yer welcome?” Osd didn't know what to say, he spent his entire life either beating metal or beating fleshy people in this shykehole of a place. He doubted either of those things could help him out when a sick child was clinging to him.Especially a child that could burst out in tears any moment. “Yeah, I'm osd. Nice meeting ya?” He dumbly replied, not really knowing what to say. “What do you mean with that. Stay here till that fish woman comes back?” he had seen the gils and scales on that woman, no way she was a normal human. Unless she had been in some kind of freak accident back when she was a kid. “I can stay here till she comes back. But you gotta get back in bed though. You puked out a lot of the alcohol they poured into ya. But yer small and who knows what else was in the bottle. So lie down.” He didn't wait for an answer but simpely picked up the younger girl and put her back to bed. “Speaking of hurling.” He looked around the room, hoping to find a bowl of some kind where she could puke into if there was another wave coming. Eventually he settled on a vase that looked pretty ugly in his opinion. He dragged it over towards the bedside. “If you feel another wave coming up just puke in this. Butt ugly thing anyway. Can't have that much value.” |
