Saige entered through the door rather nervously, moving along the wall as she feared being stepped on by unwary feet. She was no newcomer to the city, but had simply been living off of funds that her parents left her before leaving. Since she had gotten out of her depression, she spent a lot more time in the streets, buying this way and that, not to mention the purchase of clay as her food sustenance. Her pile of cash went from being a pile, to a mound, to a handful. That was when she decided she finally needed a job, having avoided it because she much preferred exploring the city of illusions without any major task taking up the majority of her time. She figured that now was about time to start acting responsibly.
With the aid of a stack of books, Saige climbed up to the desk, disappointed to see that there was no one there. She made her way to the small bell, which admittedly was half her size. With a good whack, the bell rung throughout the room loudly, accompanied by Saige's voice, "Hello? Anyone there?"
