Considered one of the most mysterious cities in Mizahar, Alvadas is called The City of Illusions. It is the home of Ionu and the notorious Inverted. This city sits on one of the main crossroads through The Region of Kalea.

Saige entered through the door rather nervously, moving along the wall as she feared being stepped on by unwary feet. She was no newcomer to the city, but had simply been living off of funds that her parents left her before leaving. Since she had gotten out of her depression, she spent a lot more time in the streets, buying this way and that, not to mention the purchase of clay as her food sustenance. Her pile of cash went from being a pile, to a mound, to a handful. That was when she decided she finally needed a job, having avoided it because she much preferred exploring the city of illusions without any major task taking up the majority of her time. She figured that now was about time to start acting responsibly.

With the aid of a stack of books, Saige climbed up to the desk, disappointed to see that there was no one there. She made her way to the small bell, which admittedly was half her size. With a good whack, the bell rung throughout the room loudly, accompanied by Saige's voice, "Hello? Anyone there?"

Lliwen:

Serenity blinked and smiled at the flood of words from the Charoda. The woman had met several during her time in Alvadas, but most were not filled with so much energy. Chuckling softly she rested her elbows on her desk, setting her chin on her clasped fingers as she spoke,
"Well now it is a pleasure to meet one of your kind here in the city. I admit we do not get very many here, but Alvadas always accommodates those who come to this city.Have you heard mention of Rainbow Shells here in this city? It is really quite a wonderful place designed to accommodate Charoda such as yourself, and any others who require water in order to live comfortably. It can be found near the harbor, and residency can be found there as well."

Leaning back and crossing her legs Serenity continued, "Now as far as employment goes I do not believe that there are many open positions within the Rainbow Shells area, however, there is one place that does come to mind. The library here in Alvadas is known as the Sunken Conundrum, and its name is quite a good one. You see the library itself is filled with water, and so I believe it might be a perfect place for one of your kind who enjoys reading to be employed. What do you think?"

Lliwen nodded with excitement, this was perfect! She had seen a little in her book about Rainbow Shells, though it provided little information. And to work in a library! She felt as if her whole body was brimming over with joy.
"That would be perfect! I would love to work in a library, I can't believe that's one of the few vacancies!"
She exclaimed a little too over enthusiastically at the receptionist, who she gathered from her name badge was called Serenity. Realising she may have appeared to over eager, she added,
"If you wouldn't mind and that's okay with everyone else involved. Is there anything else I need to do to move in and acquire my position at the... Sunken Conundrum was it?"
She smiled at Serenity, trying to keep her body still; she just couldn't wait to get going.
Reflections still look the same to me, as before I went under

79th of summer, 512 AV

Zorias walked through the gate/mouth, and immediately slipped on a patch of ice. Falling forward, he tumbled down a small hill, sliding on snow and ice, and came to a stop right in front of a building. Well, that wasn't a great start to his.....

Why the petch is there snow in summer?

Turning, he found that the snow he had slipped on outside was no longer there. His eyes narrowed, then he grinned. City of Illusion, huh? Getting up and dusting himself off, he glanced around. The building he had slid into seemed to be some sort of office. Looking up, he saw a sign that declared it to be the welcome center.

"How... convenient." He murmured, slipping briefly into snake. He stepped in, and blinked. Books. Books everywhere. Books as far as the eye could see, which wasn't very far because of all the books. Navigating through the stacks, Zor finally found a desk. An empty desk. He sighed to himself, and looked around. There was no one in sight, and it didn't look like this room could fill more than a few people anyways.

As he turned to leave, his spear caught the edge of the bell, sending it to the floor with a crash. Zor whirled around, tense, before spotting the bell.

Oops.

He picked it up, set it back on the desk, and rung it. Not that the crashing to the floor hadn't made enough noise.

Saige:

The bell rang through the small space, and from the back room there came a sound of stumbling and a soft curse. The door swung open and a woman wild wild hair and tired eyes strode forth. Brushing a hand over her face Serenity looked around, confusion coating her face as she tried to find who had summoned her. Blinking slowly she scratched her head,
"Hello? Is anyone there?"

She would look around for a moment until the finally noticing the tiny figure upon her desk. A smile touched her lips and the woman would lean down so as to speak with the little pycon before her, "Why hello there and welcome to the Sanity Center. How may I assist you?"

Lliwen:

Serenity smiled and sat straighter in her chair, reaching in a drawer of her desk to retrieve a piece of parchment and quill. Producing an inkwell as well the woman began scribbling upon the page, speaking as she did,
"If you wish for a position then you must speak with Ms. Hinrane Morcer, the keeper of the Sunken Conundrum."With a final florish she ended her scribbling. Setting the quill aside the woman's deft hands folded and sealed the letter with wax. Sliding it over to the Charoda before her Serenity looked up, "Present this to Ms. Morcer when you apply for the position."

Standing once more Serenity turned to her filing cabinet, her hand resting on the handle as she looked back at Lliwen, "Now then, shall we find you housing as well?"

"Hello," Saige replied with a smile, glad that the bell had done the trick. She didn't mind either that the woman had been blind to her at first. The mistake of not looking down was a common one. She did not waste time with small talk and went straight to the reason she had entered the Sanity Center in the first place.

"I'm looking for employment. I am a scholar, mainly studying history. I can read, write, and have a some skills in Auristics, as well. Can you help me? She looked up at the bedraggled human expectantly.

Zorias:

At the sound of the bell landing on the floor, the door behind the desk opened and a woman's head peaked out. Blinking in confusion the figure stepped fullin into the room, pushing aside a tangled mess of hair to look the man who had caused the commotion in the eye. A wan smile touched her lips and she sat in her chair, leaning on elbows on the desk and locking her fingers,
"If you needed assistance you merely had to ring the bell, not toss it on the floor." She laughed and sat back in her chair, "Welcome to the Sanity Center. How may I assist you today?"

Nas:

The woman at the desk slowly raised her head, wiping her eyes and suppressing a yawn. Dark circles hung beneath weary eyes, a testament to the long day she had had, or perhaps the many long days. Stretching her hands over head she sat back in her chair, on finger idly pulling at a stray lock as the other tapped rythmically on the arm of the chair. Her eyes looked up and down the man before her, and she gave a small smile,
"That all depends on you I am afraid. What sort of work are you looking for? What skills have you, and do you have a preference for the type of work or pay range?"

Saige:

Serenity seemed a bit distracted by the adorable creature before her, and for almost half a chime she did not speak. Then, as if suddenly remembering what she was supposed to do, the woman blinked and straighten. Chuckling softly to herself she turned to the filing cabinet behind her desk, looking back at the Pycon as she spoke,
"I see... Tell me have you any experience teaching?"

Saige did not move an inch as the woman stared at her, deciding to be patient with someone who looked like she hadn't slept much. Thankfully, she started moving again before Saige could start worrying whether she would ever react, and turned around to some cabinets. The pycon finally moved now with a slight tilt of her head, wondering why she received such a late response. Her mind did not ponder over the matter for very long, and unlike Serenity, replied quickly to the question she was asked.

"I have no experience teaching anyone but myself," she said, a polite smile playing upon her clay lips. "Though, I would be interested in learning the profession," she added. While teaching had never crossed her mind for longer than a bell, perhaps it was something she could be good at, and find use in as well. She loved talking and debating with like-minded individuals, finding it to be very stimulating for her own thought process. So, perhaps a teaching job could suit her.

Zor grinned sheepishly. "Ssorry. I am not used to moving around small spaces." Not as a human, anyways "I am Zorias. I just arrived here, and I need a place to sleep, and work to do." Speaking common was always frustrating. It never felt as natural as snake did, and it would be a long time before he would feel comfortable using this language. Still, he doubted the woman would take kindly to Zor hissing at her. "As you may see," He continued, indicating towards his spear "I am a decent spearman. I am currently a mercenary, but I have worked as a scout or runner before."
