[Fallacy]

Serenity was busily working on other things, other things that were currently considered more important than helping a random stranger that happened through the door. Closing her book she sighed and entered her office with a makeshift smile on her face, this was the sanity center after all, "Welcome to Alvadas" she cheered taking a seat at her desk quickly brushing some books to the side to make a little peep hole so she could still see the man, "How can I help you today?" She asked the simple question allowing herself to relax in her seat, crossing her legs as she looked at him all too expecting of an answer.

It surprised Ricky when someone randomly appeared at the desk, but then he his attention was more focused on Odis at the time. "Oh, pardon me miss. I'm new of course, and I was wondering if there'd be a place I could rent until next spring. I'd also like a part time job as to cover the expenses until Springtime." She seemed rather uninterested, probably because she was so busy. Perhaps she was, either way he wasn't sure. So instead of deciding to strike a friendly conversation, he'd be quick and strictly business. He didn't want to waste any of her time.

The woman kept on watching the new man. He wasn't too bad, or at least didn't look it. A real smile crept on her face, replacing the old and rather fake one as she head what he had to say. This may not be the most ideal job in the world but it still had its perks... Smiling, ready to answer, "I would suggest you find a room at one of the Inns. For you though," she paused as if to think, "I would suggest the Cubacious Inn. They have nice enough rooms, for cheap too." she explained with a little wink. Addressing the next concern of his required a little more thought, "Sir," she started, "Jobs are easily found to those who have the guts to ask for them. There are plenty of things to do in the city and all you have to do is ask whomever you might be seeking employment from. Though, if I may ask, what are you hoping to do in this part time job of yours?" she asked the question hoping to get an answer so she could better point him in the right direction of who to ask.

The Cubacious Inn? Sounds interesting. When Ricky saw her give a wink, he returned with a grin. When she asked what he was interested in, he hadn't the need a second thought on what he was able to do. "Well, I grew up being a fisherman. I also would like to work on my sword skills while I'm here." He pointed to his kit on his back, then the sword.

Seeing his grin she almost allowed herself to swoon just a little but caught herself. She was on the job and had to still act professional. Nodding at what he said, "The sword, eh? So a fine warrior too?" Can he get any better? Not allowing him to answer the rather misplaced question she continued on, "Well, you could try to preform on the streets as a sword-dancer." she said waving a dismissing hand at the idea, "Or" she smiled at him, "You could try out for the Colosseum. I believe the place is called the Akeldama Colosseum, and it is run by a rather curious fellow named Shale." She informed him trying to think of something more to say. She didn't want him leaving quite yet. "The Colosseum is rather dangerous though, but it is a fun place to watch. There seems to be a lot of fighters coming in nowadays..." she said disdainfully, "Though all you have to do is impress Shale, which Im sure you can do, and you will have yourself a job. Oh, and he is a little frugal when handing out coin so its not the best paying job in the world." she warned him, "But it is a job nonetheless and one that will allow you to show off" She would let slip a little giggle. Perhaps this man was worth some time after all.

"Ah yes, sounds decent. If I can brave these dangers and improve my skills then I'll be set for the rest of Kalea." He assured himself, returning his attention to the woman in front of him. "Thank you for the help, I enjoyed talking with you." He bowed his head to show courtesy, Odis, while panting, sat patiently at the entrance.

She smiled at him glad to have chatted with him as well. When he thanked her she stood up out of the chair and gave him a bright smile, "You're more than welcome. Feel free to come back anytime if you have anything more you might need help with" she gave him another wink, "Or even if you just want to visit." she added giving him a wave

"I'll keep that in mind." He reassured her with a grin, waving bye as he walked towards the entrance. Odis followed him outside, and they both ventured on to explore the city.

3rd of Fall, 511 AV There was a ring of boots on the stony ground, shaping into a cadence kept growing louder – then halted abruptly as a muted curse emanated through the door. The hinges creaked. Then a shaft of pale light drenched the floor as a large man entered the chamber, his dark, smoldering orbs regarding the contours of the desk, and the woman that sat behind it, with a cold disdain. “Ah, the scribbler,” he grunted. “I’ve been looking for this place for quite a while, and I’m in no mood to bandy words. I want to buy a shack.” He graced her with a lingering gaze, the corners of his mouth curling in a faint sneer. “Just so there’s no misunderstanding, I’m going to say that again. I want to buy a shack. I do not wish to buy sturdy or even dry. I want large and empty, with a dirt floor.” Reaching into the folds of his cloak, he brought out a bulging purse and set it on the desk with a faint clank. “Try to think of something in the Patchwork Port, would you?”

Serenity was busy at her desk just finishing up some important paperwork for the exchange of property back onto Alvadas. She hated paperwork and to make things worse she heard the door open. Frowning she watched as the newcomer walked up to her and started demanding things. A dis-concerned look would show everything she was feeling. It had already been a long day and this person is just making it worse. Setting her quill back into an open vile of ink putting her eyes on the money bag set on her desk. "Something near the docks?" she laughed, "You do not know Alvadas sir." her eyes flicked up to him, "Your house could be at the docks one day, in a flaming pit another." A place where she wouldnt mind him ending up right now. "Though I could give you a shack." she smirked, "Anything to get you out of here." she waved a dismissing hand as the other dug though a drawer pulling out a key. Placing it on the desk she looked at him "400 Gold Miza for 200 square feet." she controlled the prices here and a mutual amount of respect was all she asked. That and she was having a bad day, why not make someone else pay? He wasnt playing and she made sure to sound just as serious.
