Skin with a sunkissed, tawny shade, long mahogany red hair, vibrant hazel eyes. She has a small, sharp nose and small lips that almost always seem a little pursed. There’s a slight avian, wind-whipped look about her, and her hair is thick and almost always set to resting loosely down her back. She normally has numerous braids throughout, and little melted glass beads that hold the braids in place. Her build is long and lean for her short stature of five foot three, with a slight swell to the midsection often exposed in inartan garb. She likes to grow her fingernails a quarter inch over the tips of her fingers, and like the rest of her, they have a sharp quality to them.
Character Concept
Ainyi is herself. It’s hard to say much more than that. She’s very to the point, and doesn’t look for information she doesn’t need to know. She’s direct, and almost always puts honesty above tact. Because of this, she often doesn’t have many people to call her own, and can be very cold to new people, and isn’t very good at being comforting or offering advise, nor is she very good with physical means of affection. She teases and mocks the ones she loves and the ones she hates, but it’s up to the person to figure out which side of the fence they fall on. She loves to go on a hunt of any kind; the thrill of the chase is a drug to her. If you interrupt her chase, she will not be happy with you. She also loves dancing, and music played with the flute that was so common back home. As for goals, her primary goal for the moment is just to find a place to start over and go from there.
Character History
Ainyi was born in Wind Reach, the daughter of an Avoran glassblower and a Chiet merchant's assistant who would later rise to Avora status 22 days before his death. After her years as a Yasi, it was determined her bow work was insufficient for her to move on, and she was assigned to work in the Food Processing center.
Her father had an unusually active role in Ainyi's life, even as she entered her Yasi years. As her father, Braghna, had traveled with one of Wind Reach's merchant for a few years, he learned of outside philosophies and ways. When he came home, met Ainyi's mother, and discovered he was going to be a father, he actively sought to raise her and settle down, while her mother wanted to craft again, and get back on the caravans peddling Wind Reach's glasswork.
However, her father picked up more than just parenting philosophies in his travels. As he learned of the social mobility in other regions, and other ideas of governing, he began to take major issue with the way Wind Reach was run, and with the restrictions of the caste system. He found a love of bowing and fletching on the road, yet when he gave up his traveling job, he was reassigned to the gardens. Over the next years, he honed his craft in private, and openly criticized the systems. This led to him being socially ostracized for almost all of Ainyi's life, an ostracism Ainyi also had to bear.
Her father finally found success in life when he was made an Avora on the 50th of Fall 513 AV. He gave the bow that earned him this title to Ainyi, calling it Yasa. This only made his death 22 days later all the more suspicious. He had a number of puncture wounds on his body, that seemed ill-fitted considering he supposedly died from falling off a high cliff. Some even resemble stab wounds. He was a high profile figure politically, and his death as he finally achieved social progression has not left Ainyi's mind. As he was rising in the Avoran ranks, this concerns her terribly. She wishes to keep rising in the ranks herself, and worries over who conspired to kill him in the first place.
