Chealvan nodded, relieved that she wasn't quite under a rosy illusion as his lighter brother seemed to be when it came to the Nakivak. As much as he is determined to be given a son and gain status in Riverfall, Chealvan shared the idea that a willing Nakivak was much more agreeable to work with. Take those human Nakivak that Favchean and the others had worked so hard to free from a Zith slaving party, now stirring up trouble because they didn't want to pay off their debt.

No, it was better if the Nakivak in question knew what was in store and still was willing. He chuckled softly at her words, "I am sure that my mother will be more then happy to help any nakivak that would like it. There are other Konti who were Nakivak, or still are. Kavala of the Sanctuary is due to have a child any time..though this one is not under Nakivak services her first was."

His head turned and he observed a child running through the market, but nothing else of note going on. A slow day, but considering he had met a new Nakivak it seemed fortuitous. "The Talvis will indeed insist that you limit your dealings with men to public places between the time the contract is enacted and the time that a pregnancy is proven. Once your Undan.." Chealvan let one large green finger fall to gently stroke the silver band onher wrist, " Once it is exchanged for gold most Talvis will allow you to have company of the male variety..though of course nothing improper.." His words trailed off suggestively before he grinned. "Have you had any one approach you about a contract?"

"No one's approached me yet.. Unless you're making an approach for Talvis?" Lyn'nice flashed Chealvan a smirk. She wouldn't mind if he made a claim on her, she found his personality attractive. She'd need to meet his brother first though, right? To make sure he approved too. "I've seen a few Akalak studying me from afar, but none have dared to talk to me. I think they're confused because I'm so upbeat and happy, not an average trait for Nakivaks I'm guessing."

Lyn'nice looked at her Silver Undan, "It's just so plain." She made a face at the Undan. "Just a simple pattern or design. Nothing flashy or gaudy. It just needs a little something."

She turned back to Chealvan, "So do you patrol a lot of different places? I haven't even been to a quarter of the places around here. If you go anywhere really neat will you please let me tag along? Or could you recommend some awesome places to visit? Like where can you get the best squid to eat? Are there anyplaces to pick up some books? I have one of those maps they give out when you first come here. But it's more fun with people than just following a map."

Chealvan gave a little shrug, a rolling of his shoulder before he turned his face down toward hers, and leaned just a little closer. "I just might at that. Though I expect you will be more then a handful." Chealvan returned agreeably, enjoying having a smaller Konti on his arm. For both Favchean and Chealvan the Akalak and Konti were races that were created with each other in mind. Were not they also the mirror image of Wysar and Akijia? God of integrity and goddess of shadows?

"Konti are very nice Nakivak, and are the ones who can often be pressed into further service and are less likely to die. That is what attracts my brother to the Konti. He can not stand the idea of harming a female, even by furthering our race." Chealvan neatly diverted their steps as they came upon a small spill from one fo the children running through, so that she did not have to step across the mess. "However, many of my brethren think that humans or mixed are better because they are guaranteed sons... while with a Konti they are only guaranteed a fifty percent chance."

"The Undan is what it is, perhaps if you become pregnant easily your Talvis will allow you to help design the gold."

Coming to a stall that held scarves, of all different makes and colors, Chealvan stopped and turned toward the vendor. "There are many different places that are of interest. Favchean's lies in the Tears, I favor more earthy destinations like Lapis park." Chealvan reached out and took a blue silk scarf down from the high hook the vendor had placed it. The slippery fabric felt very smooth and cool in his hand. Upon it was a simple embroidered design in white thread, that reminded him of waves. "I will give you six gold miza's and five silvers for this." When the vendor agreed, Chealvan counted out the coin and turned toward Lyn'nice.

"I would be more then happy to take you places. Perhaps the Menagerie would be nice?" He smiled, and extricated his arm from hers. With both arms free, without asking if she wanted it, Chealvan draped the soft cloth around her shoulders deftly tying it loosely. "Consider this a gift, a token of my intentions to have your contract..pending of course Favchean's agreement."

Lyn's face reddened slightly. Was he serious? She grinned and giggled, "I'm not THAT much of a handful. I very easy to please. I enjoy parks and walking through markets and tiny shops."

She walked arm in arm with the large Akalak, whom Lyn'nice had just noticed he was at least a foot taller than her. Her attention shifted to a group of children who ran past. "But Konti are the only ones who can produce a child closer to a god with an Akalak.

They approached a vendor who was selling scarves, she looked over the wares. They were all so pretty. Lyn'nice watched Chealvan pick out a scarf after looking it over. "Lapis Park sounds beautiful. But the Menagerie sounds fun too-" She was cut off by Chealvan placing a scarf around her neck, "Huh?" She placed a hand on the tie of the scarf, her cheeks red and a look of awe on her face. Lyn'nice had found her Talvis.
