Appearance: A long legged beauty of average stature, Caela has the physique of a dancer with well toned muscles in her legs and stomach. Although a little on the thin side, she isn’t scrawny as she has a nice curve to her hips and a modest bust. Light blonde hair falls to just past her shoulders, usually worn down except on special occasions when it is artfully tied up. Her green eyes are youthful and lively, often dancing with mischief.
Although a natural beauty, Caela spends a great deal of time enhancing her beauty with cosmetics and dressing up her hair with beads and ribbons. Caela learned much of her beauty routine from her mother.
Character Concept
A sweet girl when she was very young, Caela Dorin changed considerably as she grew older. Considering the environment that Caela was brought up in, she grew into a flirtatious and seductive woman. She finds the power that beauty has over men fascinating and uses such power every chance she gets. After seeing the way that men used her mother like she was nothing, the young woman decided to give men the same treatment with the end of breaking their hearts.
Caela doesn’t hate men, despite her generally unfavourable view of them, though she doesn’t normally feel in a nice way towards them. She’s sympathetic to women, particularly those in danger of being used or abused. She is kind hearted and can even be swayed with time to pity even the most roguish character if she thinks they really deserve such an emotion from her.
Many would believe Caela to be an airhead but the girl is clever enough to hide her true intelligence as it makes people underestimate her. She likes to watch and try to analyze people, psychology being an interest of hers though she doesn’t place that name on it.
Character History
Born in Sunberth to a woman who fell on hard times after becoming pregnant, Caela wasn’t born into the most privileged environment. Caela had no idea who her father was but it was clear that whoever it was unable or unwilling to support the pair. When Caela was a toddler, her mother, Nira was forced to turn to prostitution in order to bring in a steady income to support herself and her daughter.
After becaming a prostitute, her mother was able to provide somewhere for the girl to live but over time she lost much of her natural feeling. Nira tried to be maternal as she was growing up but more often than not, she failed miserably. Nira just didn’t care anymore. Her use at the hands of countless men left her broken and she had to become emotionless to shield herself. Her looks seemed to degrade in her own eyes and so she used to look at her daughter’s growing beauty instead and shower her with praise.
Caela only saw her mother occasionally as she tended to be very busy but she was able to see how Nira was effected. She began to see how men would swoon over her mother, beautiful despite her degraded view of herself and as her own looks developed, Caela realised that they would do the same with her. As the girl grew older, she saw the importance of not being used and broken the way that her mother had been and so instead she decided to use her looks to her advantage in order to devastate men. She chose to use men before they used her, to manipulate them as they would choose to manipulate her if given the chance. Her resolve was strengthened further after her mother's death when she was 19.
Always having an interest in dance, Caela learned how to dance in a seductive way in order to use her body to captivate the hearts of men. She hoped that her movements would entice men and so when she considered herself good enough, she got employment as a dancer in the Pig’s Foot Tavern. Officially, her job is to entertain but in her mind, she dances to captivate and then break the hearts of those who watch her.
