Appearance: Though almost at the age where Konti are considered adults, Liana's features cling stubbornly to adolescence. With her short stature and baby fat, it's sometimes hard to see a budding woman through the veil of youth. She reaches only 5'4" at the crown of her head, with a slim and petite build made for swimming and not much else. Her physical capabilities are very limited yet. Long, pale hair tumbles over her shoulders and down her back, framing a round face set with large eyes the color of the sea with pupils ringed by a hint of green. Her smooth skin is kissed by the sun, already tanned as deeply as it seems possible for her.
Pale patches of iridescent scales distinguish themselves on her feet, spiraling up slender legs, across the backs of her hands, beneath the neck, then up and down the length of her slender back. At the top of her forehead as well is a crown of delicate scales, and just like other Konti her fingers and toes are webbed like a true daughter of the sea.
Liana often prefers to keep her hair down, where it hangs just past the middle of her back. Depending on the temperature is may be braided carefully or rolled up into a knot at the back of her head. When it catches the light right, the long locks look nearly white, though in actuality they are a pale gold that gleams from careful brushing and cosmetic oils to keep her thick hair strong and healthy. At times she can be vain, but not rudely or obsessively so. While living such a comfortable life on Mura, she was taught to take care of herself and maintain her appearance. Liana takes comfort in the ritual of cleansing her body; usually each night.
At the base of her spine the singular mark of Avalis, a lone luminous lily, blooms on her skin. The shimmery petals have a faint blue tint.

Ever since childhood Liana has shown a hungry curiosity and eager desire to explore. She loves to try new things and meet new people, and does so with the naivete of one sheltered all her life on her home island. There is a lack of mistrust in her for everyone she meets; a dangerous trait to have in the world. Liana has yet to witness anything in her short life to cause her to guard herself physically and emotionally. Even her interactions with foreign visitors to Mura were always very limited and nearly nonexistent. Almost all she knows is strictly Konti. A boring and stifling way of life to her, lacking color and flavor no matter how much she loves her family and home.
She has a very happy disposition, though goes about her encounters with a sort of a shy intensity. Always listening, looking, and absorbing everything around her with all manner of senses. Liana is very sensitive to those around her and to her own doings. She is quick to become disappointed or upset, but easily cheered up and given new purpose. Though she is nearing the age of adulthood, she is still very much a child at heart. Without yet any taste of the vast, harsh world, it's hard for her to treat certain situations with any sort of serious maturity. She is capable of making intelligent decisions, but when harsh realities rear their ugly heads it's easier for her to close her eyes try to ignore them, or hope someone else takes care of it like her mother always did.
Liana was given a lot of time to refine herself in many ways, which includes her strict vocabulary and mannerisms. She is a bright and intelligent young woman despite a lack of any worldly experience, and dabbles very lightly in the arcane. Books and all manner of learning have been a constant throughout her life, as well as a devotion to Laviku and Avalis, with a high regard for Eyris. Since she first set foot on the ship that took her from Mura, her bravery and eagerness to see the world has become overshadowed by a fear and uncertainty of the unknown. She realizes that reading about other lands does not necessarily prepare one for them, and once Liana finally made that first step to experience it, she realized there was no turning back. Dreaming of leaving and living a stifled childhood made her rash and quick to act, leaving her alone in the world without guidance.

She sailed for most of the fall and part of winter before arriving on the 20th in the year 513 AV.

Marked followers of Avalis bear the first bloom of the Seer’s Lily and can delve into the Chavena at will seeking individual chavi and reading the past. Their sight at this level is rough. It can be unpredictable and hit-or-miss, but if they can indeed find the chavi they are looking for and read of its past, they have no problems coming up with answers to questions that might be presented to them. At this level, individuals cannot read the present or the future. There is also very little danger of mental illness or the seers becoming lost in the Chavena.
Konti Gift: Age Seer: When Liana touches another she is able to learn that person's exact age and the date on which they were born. Such a gift does work on ghosts for she needs a physical body to touch that is not merely temporarily possessed.
