Nyxie stared at the round building made of white stone, impressed. When she overheard the slaves talking about this place, she wasn’t sure if it’d be easy to find. But here she was, in front of this exquisite structure, taking deep breaths to calm down. Nyx walked up the stone steps towards the wooden door feeling both excited and a tad nervous. Hopefully, it won’t hurt too much…
It took her a while to get here. She figured she’d try something new this year, since no one else was going to celebrate her birthday with her. Usually, Nyxie would just spend this day like any other, by swimming in the sea or playing with Kai. But this year was different. Nyx finally got permission from her father, allowing her to travel around Kenash on her own instead of making her drag along supervision. Nyxie smiled, knowing that Papa would be annoyed when he finds out about the present she was about to give herself.
She opened the door and felt the wind rush through. Nyx shielded her eyes from the glare of the white walls, illuminated from Syna’s rays pouring through the skylights. Her vision slowly adjusted to the brightness of the room she was in, a room that spoke of elegance. Eyes bounced around to take it all in; an elaborate mural over there, velvet curtains back here… and a man sitting in a corner by himself. It seemed like he was the only other soul in the room.
For a moment, Nyxie forgot why she came. Transfixed on this young man’s appearance, she lost every bit of her apprehension. It was suddenly obvious that she was going to enjoy her time here.
Nyx started to walk towards him, swaying her hips as she moved, a coy smile on her face,
“Hey there, mate. I’m Nyxie. Nyxie Nadira Draer.” She put her hands on her hips and grinned. “It’s my birthday today, and I’m here to give myself a present that will last a lifetime~” Nyx paused to gauge the man’s reaction, and then continued to rattle on about her idea.
“I plan on getting a tattoo of an elaborately colored fish, but the creature needs to be designed in a way that looks… oh, how do I describe this… it’s gotta have an ‘abstract’ flare.”
She watched the man with glittering eyes. Nyx hadn’t decided where she wanted to place the art on her body… she figured that it would depend on how comfortable she felt with the artist.
Nyxie was certainly beyond excited to see what he could come up with.
