Sei trudged through the snow, his boots sinking deeper in than he had expected. He was happy to find no damage on them and pulled his cloak tightly around his body and over his bow and quiver. He examined himself, and found that today he only had one dagger, and the arrows in his quiver weren't for show. He could hear the little gingle of the few mizas he kept on his person, and returned to his stroll. He put his left foot foward and propelled himself into a run, jetting though the snow. He was leaving big, heavy bootprints in the snow. He inhaled the icy air, and he enjoyed the exercise - it was worth it.
Sei continued his mad sprint, slowing a bit to jump over a fallen tree before maintaining his original pace. He wasn't for winter, but he did love the fact that it mean't there was more wind ruffling his fur when he transformed. He went farther into the mountains snd enjoyed the burning sensation in his lungs. He stopped and leaned against a tree, taking his time to regain his regular breathing. "That was fun." He said to no one. He stretched his arms and went on his way. Along the way he began to run again, feeling the icy wind on his face felt great and he could tell he'd be doing this more often.
He started to slow back down to a jog then a slow walk. He could hear something in the distance, but couldn't tell what it was. He lifted his longbow just in case and pulled back the bowstring with an arrow. He then took a few steps forward, observing his surroundings with great care. There were no prints to determine anything and the smell he was getting was mixed. He couldn't tell if it was wolf or deer, but he could make out the thick smell of blood. Now it was obvious. A wolf had caught a deer, and was enjoying it's snack. He walked a bit more, and ran into the pair. The deer was still twitching, but the wolf had it by the neck. It had a dark pelt, but a white undercoat. He then noticed the deer had finally ceased it's struggle and died, and Sei thought to leave before realizing he had a perfect shot for where he was standing. If he missed, the wolf would come after him and most likely he'd be killed. Unless I can use the petchin' dagger.. He would get two kills for one shot if he made it.
He had decided. He was leaving. He turned to leave, but a twig snapped under the pressure of his boots, quickly alerting the wolf who began to growl. Now it was Sei who snapped. Can't I have one day of peace? He turned around, aimed the longbow, and fired the arrow at the wolfs head. Just as it turned away that is. The wolf turned back to his direction and snarled. Now would be a good time to shoot. He thought, aiming again, his hands drawing the arrow back slowly on the bowstring. He was just about to fire when the wolf took off - deer and all - into the mountains. That did not just happen.. He groaned and ran after the wolf. Some day he was going to have.
Sei watched his feet pound into the snow, running as fast ax he could with no luck. The wolf was getting farther and farther away, but lucky the deer had left a trail. It is dragging the petchin' thing after all. He stopped running and looked at the ground. Not only were there drag marks, but there was a clear trail of blood. He could tell the wolf was still moving seeing as his nose was losing it's scent little by little. He let the wolf get further away from his nose before he started to move again. He awhile before he stopped. This would be an entertaining hunt.
