Richard Witte Appearance Race: Human Gender: Male Age: 17 Birthday: 18, Fall 496 Birthplace: Lhavit Appearance: An average human boy, with hazel eyes, and dark brown hair. He would blend into any human crowd. He bears long jagged scars starting from his ring fingers, spiraling down his palms, and around his forearms. The skin is pinkish, but refuses to heal or fade anymore than it has. His hair is messy, and depending on how long he has been lost in a book he ranges from clean shaved to thick stubble. Character Concept An extremely faithful follower of Eyris, and an admirer of Syna, Leth, and Zintila. He is generally withdrawn, and more interested in books, and knowledge, than people. Though, particularly intriguing people might end up being followed, and studied until he grows bored with them. He voraciously studies when ever he has a chance, and is desperately trying to get enough money to go back to school. He spends atleast one bell a day practicing and exercising with his sword and reimancy to help keep himself fit, and to clear his mind. His favorite training ground is near the rainbow falls. He spends the rest of his time gathering as much information as he can about anything that gets his interests. He likes to hear rumors about people, and then try to figure out just how true those rumors are, to varying degrees of success. Beliefs Character History Richard would have been born to a small, but loving family.Lhex had other plans for his mother, and Sarah died birthing Richard. His father, William, did his best to raise the young boy. With the help of the Dawn Tower he brought Richard up to become a reimancer, and perennial student of both the magic arts, and every bit of knowledge that exists. William nurtured the beliefs of his son, and encouraged thoughful debate and problem solving. He also taught his son to meditate through the use of the bastard sword. He believed strong Djed resides in a sound body, and a sound mind. But luck was not on William's side, and one icy day in the winter of 510, he slipped down a flight of stairs and fell to his death. The loss hurt Richard, who was now alone in the city, and he delved ever deeper into his books, often asking Eyris for the strength to read one more book, to learn one more thing. In his time of need, he felt the Eyris was there for him, though the case may be that she never noticed the young boy. He spent the year in a stupor of books, and papers, absorbing everybit of knowledge. But eventually he dealt with the death of his father, and breifly mourned him, and even turned to Dira- asking that she take his soul to peace, and thanking her for the time he had got to spend with his father. The scabbard is made of mountain deer leather, with steel fittings, and loops for ease of carry. The whole weapon weighs 3 pounds. He recieved it on his 14th birthday, shortly before his father died.
