Appearance: Lysaea stands at the height of 5 foot 6 (165 cm) and is one of the taller females in the Vantha Race. She has dexterous hands and composes herself with the most unnoticeable hints of grace. She generally has a dignified demeanour about herself and has the common trait of changing eye colour of the Vantha. Whilst it does change, her eye colour usually lands itself in a dark vibrant green that seems to glimmer. Her dark hair has a certain violet sheen to it at times and her face is somewhat longer than the regular Vantha but not drastically. Her skin tone is one of the lighter shades her race. She is quite athletic and sleek looking with the same small stature that befalls her race. Also like most of her race, she seems to have an almost ethereal beauty about her.
Character ConceptFormerly a nice, friendly, fun, blunt, somewhat eccentric and optimistic young girl, Lysaea has now become cold, fairly stoic and slightly pessimistic. She is typically rarely warm and also pretty suicidal at times. She has become more silent and dutiful with more than just a tendency to doing things alone rather with friends and family. She is slightly spiritual and is rather distracted and quick to stray in her attention span when there is a lot of things going on. While she generally doesn't let her original personality come through her current one, she does have the capability of being that self if she can let herself to. Having very strong morals since her ‘accident’, she does not sway from the rules at all so trying to make her bend rules would much like trying to draw Excalibur out of the rock when you’re not King Arthur. An extremely protective and loyal person, once someone is able to squeeze their way into that tiny crevice called a heart; she will be an excellent friend although she still would probably pass off as slightly cold. Acting strong and actually being strong, she hates it when people give up, turn away, don’t carry through their word and betray others. She has an extremely strong resolve and her favourite thing in the world is climbing, free running and basically doing anything that prevents her from feeling the things she keeps bottled up inside of her. She is confused about everything she is feeling and doesn't know what to do anymore.
Pre-Creation Character HistoryIn a story of what one girl’s life was, we hear of that girl who was born on the 6th Day of Fall, 493 AV. This girl, lying as a newborn in her mother’s arms, was to be called Lysaea. She looks into her mother’s eyes, not even the slightest recognition, but it was clear that even from the beginning, she was this mother’s, named Caelyn, and this father’s, Dascun, child, born into the Coolwater hold.
It’s now 502 AV and Lysaea becomes learned in the language of the Vantha. She is seen to be clumsy and no one is appreciative of that fact. Her mother tells her off before relenting into holding the crying girl. “You could have burned our home down!” is what she is saying. The girl remains quiet while the mother picks up a piece of wood. “Here, I’m sorry for being harsh but you must learn. Don’t do things that you’ll mess up in.” the mother says quietly but firmly while the girl picks up the piece of wood and returns her attention to her mother’s voice saying what she would do: “You shall learn how to carve, unfortunately I have yet to hear a good story from your mouth so I shall not work on that. Also, maybe you can learn something about navigation, I'd say that'd be much safer for you,” and that was what the daughter did for the next few years still as happy as ever.
Now, it’s year 506 AV. This girl, a few years older than from before, has developed some skill in climbing (courtesy of her friends being adventurous). She has become slightly more graceful making a lot more people happy. She has begun to pick up a pen and paper, to map out the seas and help boats navigate their way. The mirror has skimmed past again and now, it shows Lysaea, the child of Caelyn and Dascun Coolwater as a 17 year old girl about to get married. Brushing a dark lock of hair of her daughter, Caelyn looks deep into Lysa’s eyes and wishes her goodbye and good luck before her marriage into the Frostfawn hold. Dascus simply smiles on the sidelines, sure he would see his dear daughter soon enough. This would be true, at least for the next 2 years. The Lysa in that time period has now started to learn how to hunt and track.
Then, true of 2 years later, it has been shown that she didn’t visit again for a curious and slightly dejected girl could never turn down an offer to learn how to use her Djed. The mage promised her the ability to use Reimancy as he saw an opportunity in her promising potential. 3 months has passed and the Lysa people once knew has slowly begun to degrade. Two months later and the mage had started to worry if he was right in teaching her. One month later, he decides he should stop. It might have been enough for Lysa to regain herself but alas, she was too angry. Before she can catch him, the mage runs away, leaving the burning girl amidst the air whipping around her face, the face with bloodshot eyes. The Sweet Whisper appears to this girl once in control, she returns home with her res becoming out of control.
Her husband can sense that something is not right and turns away from the sparks of fire he was about to cook on. He feels a sudden burst of cold air enveloping the room. He turns around shocked, finding his wife with wind whipping about in a merciless bout knocking everything around. She is bleeding and a dull intense burning of pain is felt from within. She isn’t thinking right and she feels she must continue using Reimancy. The husband looks at her, fearful of her magic but unable to do anything as he is pushed back into the fire, a raging storm of orange now, enhanced by the wind pushing it. Screaming as he died, Lysa still doesn’t know she has killed her husband as she begins to lose consciousness, the wind whipping inside and outside of her still bleeding body. The flames lick up their once home in a hurry and by the time word gets out of the burning house. The husband is merely a lump of ash and Lysa is lying on the cold ground, barely alive.
Now the girl known as Lysaea stands on the top of the buildings in Avanthal overlooking the city with tears in her eyes not even wanting to use her disrupted res weeks after recovering. She can't forgive herself for surviving due to her being taken to a healer with Rak'keli's gnosis when she knows she killed her husband despite her hold’s other beliefs and can’t bring herself to face the others so she becomes solitary, moving around from time to time landing on Riverfall in Winter, 513 AV
Post-Creation Character HistoryLysaea is trying to find her life in Riverfall and she just begins to do so now. She joins the Sanctuary, finds a job, meets a couple of people and is beginning to feel like she might have just found her home. Although not properly acquainted with anybody yet, Lysa has met a kelvic, a dhani and a human outside of the Sanctuary.
In Spring, nothing much has happened in the life of Lysa. Of a few notable things, Lysa lost her father's smallspear and she has decided to make the Sanctuary her home. She attended the opening of Alements and got to know Lyn'nice, Xira and Grace of the Sanctuary a bit better.

Gnosis:Ice Reaving - 1
The singularly marked individual is completely at ease in the cold. The presence of Morwens mark acts as antifreeze that warms the individuals blood and keeps them comfortable even in subzero temperatures. Exposed tissue can still freeze when faced with severe temperatures, but individuals are not at all prone to hypothermia if they are well protected against the weather. They may in fact even feel ‘comfortable’ in colder climates and indeed uncomfortable in warmer climates. At this stage, Ice Reavers can control the temperature of ice, melting it or freezing it in small portions. It is not unheard of for an Ice Reaver to scoop up a pot of snow, tap their gnosis, and have a pot of ice water instead ready for cooking. Ice Reavers at this level have the ability to tell how thick a piece of ice is - such as the surface of a lake - and can determine whether it is safe or not to hold weight. At this level, Ice Reavers can tap their gnoses and shape ice that is already formed as sculptors might - loosening and causing it to shed away until the pattern they want is formed. Ice Reavers at this level cannot create ice nor manipulate large portions of ice. They cannot, for example, thaw portions of a surface of a lake, but they can take the existing ice and reshape it or melt it. They can only change the viscosity of about a standard 10 gallons of water at a time. If conditions are cold and they try to repeat this process over and over again to achieve what a higher level Ice Reaver could, they would find their manipulations refreezing behind them as they worked.
