Winter 20th, AV513~

Ugh. Was the first thing that came to mind as Blaze tried for the third time that day to saw through the leather collar around her neck, it was a dark black frayed at the edges but still too thick to be cut through with her eating knife, her horse snorted at her, "Sarcastic as ever Cherry..." She mumbled pushing the mares head away playfully, her snout black that faded into a deep brown that covered the strong horse in its prime except for the white spots that trailed from her lower back that stopped at her tail, her mane and tail being a thick black.

"Hmm... Lookie there." She pointed out the figure that walked by them then in the late hours of the night, "easy picking." She grinned as her bright red hair swayed over her deep blue eyes that didn't seem fitting but also did, they watched a bit to closely as she watched him before calling out from the bushes hoping to spook the easy 'Prey'.

"Hey! Shouldn't little boys be in bed this late?"

She grinned as she got up and jumped down to block his path, knee high black boots covered in snow while her tight pants were somehow still clean, she had been crouching down beside the horse digging her heels into the wet ground, avoiding the mud beneath the snow.

Like her dark brown pants that fit her curved hips her dark red shirt fit her quite snuggly with its low cut V showing off her blooming chest that seemed to swell as she matured, being seventeen she was well fit and defined. She gave him a flash of a smile raising a thin brow as she stepped towards him, "Aye?"

Her eyes watched him, pulled him... She was purposely drawing him as she put her hands behind her back, pushing out her chest while looking innocent with her soft eyes and close stare that looked him up and down, a smile playing on her lips as she gazed at his pockets.

"Oh I see, not a boy no, no... A man." She giggled reaching up to roll her collar between her long fingers. "Hmmm..." She was wrapping him around her finger, subtle but heavy hints falling on his ears with her silk voice, she was drawing him into a trap.

Flirting Thief

Postby Ereck Darkshade on February 9th, 2014, 6:16 am

The job would start later than usual today and Ereck was mulling about, wandering through the Sunset Quarters for a while before starting to head out towards the job location. Dressed in his usual pitch black outfit of night leather, a name that Ereck wasn't sure came from the color or from the time of day it was usually worn, the young man walked slowly through the streets. For some reason, it felt like things would be very dull today. With his left hand on the hilt of his hand scythe and his right holding onto the chain that passed behind him, Ereck walked on. His purse was nearly empty, only a few gold mizas in it to get him through the next eight days or so. The rent for the fall season had been paid already and all he had to do now was to save enough money for food for the season and to save some for the rent payment due at the end of this season. All these numbers made Ereck's head hurt.

He walked through the street and passed a few people hiding in the dark alleys. While he gave them a passing glance, his interest wasn't roused and he walked on. When a voice called out, Ereck ignored it at first. It mentioned boys and Ereck figured whoever was shouting was talking to some kid somewhere that was sneaking about. With the voice, however, came a person jumping out of the bushes on the side of the street. Startled for but a moment, Ereck gathered himself and stepped back, drawing the scythe from his belt, holding it out in front of him, between him and his attacker. His right hand gripped the chain, ready to swing the weight at the end of it should it come to a fight.

But no fight seemed to come. The person in front of him, now that he looked a little closer, was obviously a woman. A rather young one at that. Considering her dress in the evening light, Ereck immediately guessed her profession and he shook his head. "I don't require your services, woman. Leave me be." His voice was deep and dark as he spoke, almost threatening, even though neither his face nor his stance showed any of it. The scythe moved back down as Ereck replaced it at his belt. His hand, however, never left the handle of the weapon.

As the woman let her eyes move over his body, so did Ereck. His eyes moved from the woman's red hair down to her revealing shirt and further down to her hips and legs. All in all, a pretty girl. Too bad she was too young. Ereck waited for the woman to finish looking. Her comment about him not being a boy passed him by as he watched her. Without another word he stepped to the side and tried to walk past her, ignoring her. He had neither the time nor the money to spend on a woman of pleasure.

He had never understood how people could do that, letting others use them for money. Sure, directing someone to protect another or to take a life, that was proper work. But letting others... He let the thought drift away. It was none of his business. He just had to get to work and get through the night alive. It seemed that the winter cold was making people more desperate when it came to getting their hands on other people's goods.

Heh. Not so easy, eh? She thought as he sidestepped to get away, she smirked a bit following him as he started off ignoring his comment, "Oh? You think I'm no virgin?" She questioned him lightly as she worked herself closer to him, his money growing closer and closer to her pocket as she tried to pry.

"You're mean, won't even talk to little 'ol me." She whined a bit meeting his eyes, "I don't have anyone but silly little Cherry to talk to~"

She tried to play it off as an act of craving attention, Her mare making its way behind them when she was mentioned, she didn't want to waste much more time as her hand skillfully slipped into his pocket closest to her, feeling around...

Her light touch was well know, she was naturally good at it... But she did have her mistakes, she had brushed his side...

Quickly she pulled away blushing as if she had brushed his side on accident and not had had her hand in his pocket, the gold mazias between her fingers as she suddenly stopped and started to walk off stuffing her hands in her pockets, "Bah, you've got no time for company anyway..." She seemed dissapointed but really she was grinning as she had her back to the older male.

With that she was on horse back, starting off before her voice found his ears in her flee, her voice silky and sly as ever as it teased him, "Thieves take not give, Fool." She was slightly irritated with his assumption of her occupation but figured that little stab to his 'pride' as she saw it was good enough revenge.

She had taken off with what pickings she had managed from the man, her horse leaving tracks behind as she fled to her camp to count that days steal.

Flirting Thief

Ereck sighed to himself as the woman kept up her talking and general annoying attitude. Ereck disliked women who required attention in order to function properly. He sighed as the woman started talking about virgins and cherries. The entire conversation had taken a turn for the worse rather quickly. And the she brushed against him. Ereck almost jumped away, not having expected the sudden close contact. He had been wide open and a dagger would have ended his sorry existence then and there had he been any less lucky. It seemed the woman hadn't been interested in sticking daggers inside of him.

The woman pulled away and he could see her cheeks darken in the lowering light of day. After the touch, the woman seemed to change and backed off, eventually moving away to the horse that had walked out after her. Ereck watched her, suspicious of her movements. She turned away from him and towards the horse. In one fluid motions she seemed to move up the horse and sat herself on its back. Ereck tilted his head somewhat, trying to see what drove the woman. She spoke to him one last time then. Something about thieves. And then she rode off.

It took Ereck a moment to process her last words. Thieves take not give. She had brushed against him, broken his personal space and had brushed against him. In shock, his hand flashed down in the pocket of his trousers. It was almost empty. He cursed under his breath and shouted an obscenity or two after the woman before he jumped to action. The horse had left easy tracks to follow in the muddy snow and he ran after them. Only a few steps into his run, however, Ereck slipped in the mud and fell forward, creating a big muddy splash. In frustration his fist smacked into the mud and created another splash, several mud drops hitting him in the face.

With another angry burst of obscenities, Ereck pushed himself to his feet, the mud dripping and sliding down the smooth surface of his night leather outfit. He sat himself in motion once again. His attention was divided between the ground before him and the path ahead of him. The horse's tracks were still easy to follow in the dying light of day but if the woman rode on for long enough, Ereck would lose the track in the darkness of night. Lucky for him, he had done some tracking before and, with all his night work, his eyes sight was moderately better at night than that of regular humans. With mud dripping determination, Ereck followed the horse's track through the mud and snow.

He had indeed been a fool. Why had he let the woman so close. Ereck cursed once again under his breath as he picked up the pace, jogging more than running, moving faster than a walk while keeping himself from slipping in the mud or snow again. His hand moved down to the hilt of his weapon to make sure it was still in place and moved from the chain to his back. His right hand moved to his back as well and started where his left hand had ended and followed the chain all the way to the weight. If he got his hands on the woman...

Flirting Thief

She laughed taking off into the hills, she was riding fast... Knowing he would be close behind her as she made her way up the hills and away from the city laughing, she hadn't had this much fun in weeks and knew he would give up but the chase was fun to her, He probably would see her riding up the hills in the night but she had a plan.

A dangerous but clever plan.

I've never tried... what if it kills me? She thought to herself as she pushed Cherry forward still, reaching up to feel her collar between her fingers before she turned sharply, "He'll be tracking me for the Mazias, might as well take a leap of faith." She mumbled as she rode down the hill and then to the left where she saw tree's. she knew Cherry would most likely roam back to her camp beside the cave she was sure to explore once she had enough money for a lantern...

She wasn't going to risk land spawns hiding in there and it was cold, she didn't wear her coat today but it was for a good reason, She was going to attempt to shift after a few years of avoiding it due to the collar around her neck. Was it fear? Was it the meaning? She didn't know, she knew she could most likely do it with her size in her fox form but there was that chilling thought that kept her up at night, Will I die there?

Ereck continued to run after the tracks, keeping his attention in front of him and on the ground at the same time, making sure he wasn't missing anything. The light of day was fading fast and Ereck picked up speed, running the track the horse had left. He cursed a few times at himself but turned quiet soon after, conserving air and energy to keep running. It hadn't been much money but it was all that Ereck had and it bothered him that it had been taken so quickly from him.

His chase carried him up a hill and he ran on through the snow, working his way higher up. The air was cold and every panting breath he took created small clouds in front of his lips. At least the exercise was keeping him quite warm. When he reached the top and looked down, Ereck could see the trail leaning to the left and away from the city. Instead of following the trail precisely he ran straight for the forest where the trail disappeared in. Running downhill was always more dangerous as your own momentum could tumble you further down. Ereck slowed down a little as he ran with high paces through the snow towards the edge of the forest.

At the edge of the forest, Ereck stopped for a moment to catch his breath. The snow didn't make the running any easier and out here he had to be careful. Some adventurous Sunberthians might be out here hunting, food or victims, it didn't matter to them. And there were always wild animals around that might decide Ereck to be a good snack. His hand brushed the handle of his weapon, making sure it was still there, before he set out again. Under the roof of the forest, the light was even less and it became quite dark around him as he moved deeper into the forest. The trail was easy to follow, broken twigs, crumpled grass, mud and snow patches with horseshoe holes in them, bushes pushed aside by the horse's large frame. Ereck had no real trouble following it.

The deeper he got in the forest, the more Ereck became alert and aware of his surroundings. He didn't want to walk into an ambush and lose even more money or even his life. He drew the hand scythe from his belt and uncoiled part of the chain. While it didn't allow him the full range of the weapon it prevented most of the sounds the chain made. He felt safer already as he held onto the handle of the weapon. His gait became a creep as he stepped carefully through the forest, each step calculated. While it was already dark enough for his outfit to help him to blend into the night, it was also dark enough for Ereck to not see occasional twigs under his feet, snapping them under his weight.
