30th of Winter 513AV
He could feel the caress of winter, its chilled kiss upon each curve of muscle his body harbored it seemed to lick at his lean body as his eyes flattered open, not awake but deep from thought, he was lost once again in the very ocean of his mind and whenever he found himself there with nothing but his subconscious raft and time, unending yet easily bent if one had the power(?)
He looked at the ceiling, it'd saved itself from being withered, rotting and felled with mold of all types that it'd created a new species of creature in their already diverse continent, its form was still clean and that reassured him that he was not in some backwater inn like the ones in places like Sunberth. He tucked his hands behind his head, his fingers locked into his locks so easily and knowingly that it became something of a routine, he pillowed himself with his palms whilst crossing his legs, lain flat onto the inn's bed he listened to the morning city of Riverfall inside the embrace of the Kulkukan.
A sigh seemed to leave his lips momentarily as he thought on what he might have to do next, it was than that his stomach churned on itself and it growled albeit too angrily for Kahn's tastes.
Tastes... Food it is than, he told himself as he shifted his position and felt as his bare feet touched the cold floor, the pacifist seemed not to mind as he stood up, the lonesome bed seemed to groan as if it were his lover as when his weight came and he stood up, it was than that the illumination of the early sun tore through the window and onto his ebony flesh, it made a silhouette of his body and his locks seemed to fray in the light, his right hand rose and slipped into the kempt locks and in a practiced motion they seemed to be tied whilst loose strands fell around his features with an exotic revelation.
He sighed underneath his breath, the illumination beamed onto the warm breath and itself lithe elusive form danced into the light whilst it danced into dissipation, he'd only worn his pants to bed that night hence he wasn't worried about exhibiting too much of himself.
Kahn turned towards the bed and he looked at the wrinkled sheets, the immortal rings around his eyes seemingly unscathed as he began to remake bed, common courtesy for him. It took a few chimes yet when he was done, one wouldn't even know that he was sleeping there the previous eve'.
His belongings were soon laid onto the sheet he'd used, his sword, his light armoured combat jacket, shirt and even towahawk all placed before him, he accounted for each of his possessions made sure that they hadn't even tempered with.
'Good' he thought with a lightened hearted whilst taking each machine of warfare and wrapping it within the body of his cloak, he placed them within the delicate cloth with delicacy that they wouldn't even tear through the fabric.
Shifting from his devices of death (which he detested) he turned toward the inn itself and walked out his borrowed room, still somewhat in his morning attire, consisting only of his pants, the philosopher found the nearest seat and took it as his own, his thoughts on the world soon returned merely for a seconded before he heard a somewhat familiar call him, it was the owner of the Kulkukan, the Akalak Nystir.
"Sleep well there traveler?" the 'young' businessman asked the pacifist with a smile, Kahn shifted his eased gaze toward him and leaned back in his chair, winters touch lingering still on the chairs cold frame as dug into his flesh and trailed up his spine.
"Still better than waking up in some cave or trench somewhere" he said with a shrug whilst hearing the akalak chuckle at his comment, Kahn didn't find it funny knowing that it'd happened before, yet he sat there and ingested the cold air whilst the Akalak looked him.
"Looking for something to eat?" he asked the contemplating Kahn behind the counter, he could already hear Chell setting up breakfast for the inn's patrons so why asked the enigma human.
"Surprise me" Kahn said as he heard his churning stomach turn and growl once again, this caused his eyes to fall down at his muscular abdomen, as if it knew of its masters glare the stomach growled again teasingly. The pacifist inclined his gaze toward the Akalak he merely smiled and called towards the auburn haired female, whatever he said to her fell onto deaf ears as Kahn leaned in onto his table and began to think.
Philosophically he believed that he could train his mind to allow his body to deprive itself of food, it was an unheard of form of discipline yet to him, mind ruled over matter and application of such methods was how he lived his life...
His attention was so lost on itself that he couldn't even notice any of the patrons or bodies that moved into the inn, their gawking didn't bother him, yet he wondered, hadn't they seen a half naked person before, this was Riverfall wasn't it?... |
