"Thanks for the suggestions, sir. Now, I told you I didn't want to whore myself out, so I won't be seeing Killroy..." She paused for a moment, picking at the wood grains of the counter as she considered her possibilities. If I'm going to keep thieving I might as well keep all the profits to myself. Besides, no one wants to carve a statue of a pickpocket, I'd better take a job I can learn from. The girl spoke with a sigh, and her voice was quieter than before, "Let the Armory know I'm coming. How much do I owe you?"

A real job, this isn't going to be easy, if they'll even take me to begin with. I guess I'll keep my fingers nimble on the sides, no sense paying for meals, not if I want to save up quickly and get out of this hellhole, and whatever stinking drudge work they'll have me doing. Her filthy glove scooped about inside her shirt, and dove deep in several concealed pockets, pulling out the appropriate coins to pay Tua before she left. The teen smiled and began working her way out against the crowd, but not before giving the clerks' desk a farewell slap.

Tua nodded slowly. He could understand what Drayton was getting at. Killroy's wasn't anything close to a whore house, but he was a pervert for certain, it might be best for someone like her to avoid him. "Three gold mizas and the Blacksmiths will be patiently awaiting your arrival." Tua grinned as he lowered his head and began to write something on a piece of paper. No doubt he was waiting for his payment before he performed his uncanny art of communication to talk to the right people.
Bad News Everybody. School is picking up, Exams are beginning to happen, homework is growing time consuming, I may soon be evicted from my apartment, I'm dealing with severe and physical fights among several of my best friends, and I can't seem to find a time to get much needed sleep. I'm terribly sorry, but don't expect to see much of me for a long while.

2nd of Summer, 511 AV

Stepping into the cool room, Aberdon took instant note of the guards. They regarded him as well, cool, confident, strong. Aberdon nodded to them, turning his gaze to the small man behind the desk. At the board he glanced over the papers, writing bleeding advice and crying for help. A bit of it was honest, familiar, but most was shady...no details or too many, the kind of work no one but those looking for danger should get themselves into.

Aberdon was looking for something else.

Stopping in front of master Tua, the Isur put two gold mizas on the table, clacking against them with yellow stony fingers.

"I'm looking for work, and I see there is need of a smith."

Eleanor removed the fee from the stained folds of her shirt, and slapped the coins onto the counter. "Thanks," she said and trotted off through the crowds.

@ Aberdon

Master Tua smiled with that sleek sly smile that he always offered when he saw another hand to drop him a few coins. He nodded slowly. His hand skillfully picked up the two coins offered as peace to Tua. He frowned for a moment before pocketing it and looking back to the Isur. "There's need for one. There's always a need of skilled hands in Sunberth. They don't need you though. It's too dangerous, too risky to invest in someone you can't be sure is honorable." This was of course a sly manner of speaking, meaning that if Tua didn't say Aberdon was worth while, nobody would give the Isur any attention whatsoever.

"Five gold mizas, and I'll make sure they know you have all the best intentions."

Fall 1st, 511 AV Afternoon

Rosabelle's exposed feet loudly sloshed though the flooding streets of Sunberth as she made her way to The Establishment. She held her backpack above her head to provide as much coverage from the rain as she could, but it wasn't doing much. She sighed in frustration as her clothes gathered water, but there was nothing she could do except walk faster. She tweaked an eyebrow at some of the weird characters still staking their claim in the city, but just shook her head when she remembered where she needed to be.

Many people were bustling in and out of the business's building as she squirmed her way through the thick crowd. She sighed and shook the rain off of her backpack to replace it back on her shoulders. A sweet smile popped into her face as she made her way over to the large boards full of parchment, skimming all of the available jobs with a finger. She came across the stablehand job and snitched it off, reading the contents inside it. Hmmm, I could surely tend some stables... Couldn't I?

She strode off to the back of the lobby with the parchment in hand to find a clerk, choosing a friendly looking black man. She walked over to his counter and loudly cleared her throat to get his attention. Another wide smile stretched across her lips as her cheery voice greeted the man. "Hello!"

She slid the paper to the man containing the stablehand information. "I was interested in this job. It is still available, right?" she asked. Her tiny hands flipped her still wet, ruby red hair out of her face, a sweet smile still plastered on her face.

oocTimestamp Please :) And check your CS link. Something's faulty there:) ~Ole Archy

@ Rosabelle.

A man with a wide smile greeted the pretty looking woman who greeted him as he took the little scrap of paper... Eh, shame such a pretty woman wanted to be a stablehand. Brega's was hiring, so was that shop in the Gated Community, but then again... not all the woman of Sunberth needed to entertain such fancies. Shame, the clerk might have gone to visit her there himself once. She was quite a looker.

Finally, his brain came back to him and he sat back. "Ah... A job at Killroy's eh? Well we did send a few over there before... However, with a special deal for you, only 5 GMs we may be able to give you a recommendation. Might be enough to get killroy to take you on. Whaddya say , Miss? Tua's business is your future business as they say."

Extending one hand the clerk tapped upon the counter before turning his hand upwards in a come hither manner. As if the sudden appearance of coin might help make Rosa's wishes come true...

Rosa planted a a hand on her hip as she thought. She realized she really didn't know much about Killroy, and she liked her bosses to be nice and respectful. She took a quick glance at the man's outreached hand and then looked him back in the eyes. She was not so quick to give out her money.

"What's working for Killroy like? A lady like me can't be working in slums for some dog." she said, her face turning slightly concerned. "What job do you think would be best fitting for me?" Her arms crossed over her chest as she cocked her head to the side. She hoped she wasn't wasting the man's time, but she wanted to be sure she was getting the right job. She planned to stay here for quite awhile.

oocTY for the timestamp :) ~Ole Archy

@ Rosabelle.

The man stared back and said, "Information like that is 1 GM, little lady."

He took one GM from her and started to speak. "Well, Ol' Killroy is an ... odd sort some may say. But he does play fair with his workers... most of the time. Tends to not take things too seriously unless it's business. Couple of odd rumors about him and ... well the young boys. But overall, he's one of the better employer's to say the least. Brega's always hiring. She runs a little whorehouse that's one of the finest in the city if... you like a bit of play. Same with Ruby over in the Gated Community.

However, if bed sport isn't your deal there is one place we have gotten in a small request for that's not on the list bit of a custom job between Ruby and her sister Cossette. Ruby's sister owns a small jewelry shop called Silvertongue's Silver Tongue. She's looking for a person to help part time a little. But will only keep them on if they do a good job. Doesn't pay much, but you get to help at the shop, and help dress Ruby's ladies before their 'shows'. Makeup and everything, if you play your cards right maybe Ruby might let you entertain a customer or two on the side if one man catches your eye or so. Anways, pay for that jobs listed about 3GM per day for this Fall season. But you'd have to go deal with Cossette to make sure. Shameful thing is, you'll never get it without a recommendation."

Holding his hand out, "Five Gold mizas for whatever you choose."

oocWhichever job you choose, deduct 5 gm from your ledger and 1 GM for the information. You may find Brega's , the silvertongue, Ruby's , and Killroy's all on the linkmap. You'd have to make a post there to 'have an interview with the npc ;)

Rosa's arms uncrossed from their defensive position as she listened to the man speak about the job at the jewelry shop. A big smile appeared on her face to replace the frown that was there not too long ago. "Well sir, that little shop job sounds just perfect!" she announced happily.

She quickly pulled out the coin she owed him and set in politely in his hand. "Thank you!" she said before quickly making her way through the crowd and out the door.
