Appearance Race: Inarta Caste: Chiet Gender: Female Age: 20 Birthday: Winter, Day 21, 493 AV Birthplace: Mount Skyinarta Appearance: Ysona is fairly pretty in a quiet sort of way. Her skin is fair and sunkissed with a smattering of golden freckles all over. Her hazel-green eyes have a gold tinge around the pupil. Ysona wears her hair loose and curly, letting it fall messily nearly to her elbows. The only jewlery or adornment she wears is two small eagle feathers, unpainted and fastened to two braids. The feathers seem to come from the same eagle, and she keeps them pristine. They seem to hold a lot of meaning for her. The young woman dresses practically, and although her clothing looks to be quite high quality, it has seen better days. While hunting, she wears a Katinu with a fox-fur lined hood that used to belong to her brother. Character Concept After years of watching her brother let his temper get the better of him, Ysona has learned to hold her tongue and bide her time - most of the time. Certain subjects can ignite a fire in her even hotter than her brother's. Her former pride is now diminished by her uncertainty of where she stands, and is quick to prove herself worthy. She prefers to stand quietly at the edge of conversations, listening rather than participating, and spends much of her time alone. She can often be found fletching arrows and tending to her bow in some scenic overlook. Character History Ysona and her older brother grew up in a common nursery. When Aedan was chosen by a Wind Eagle at the age of 16, he left his apprenticeship and took Ysona from the youth house when she was 13 to live with him in the Aerie. He taught her to hunt, to care for the eagles, and how to take care of herself. She did well and was on her way to an apprenticeship under him as a hunter, and although she never formed a bond with any of the eagles, she helped her hot-headed brother with things he was too frustrated or too conceited to learn. She was half of his success. They lived well and enjoyed popularity - until Aedan and his mount perished in a reckless accident, leaving Ysona without family, without a home of her own, and without a defined place in Mount Skyinarta.
