Appearance
The Tempest Scion stands at a height of 5'11". Neither overly tall nor imposing, his appearance lends to the sending of a message of friendly banter and association. A cheerful smile is perpetually worn upon a somewhat rounded jaw. His eyes are a bright blue colouration (just as all Svefra eyes are) that remind one of the roaring tides and majesty of Laviku's oceans. Lean in build, Tydus looks to be the sort to utilize speed rather than power, but he avoids combat if possible.
The Tempest, in Riverfall or upon the sea, will wear as little clothing as possible. At sea, he tends to go with just a pair of pants tied by a sash. While in the port of Riverfall, he will wear a shirt. However it will be rolled up and bunched up at the right shoulder, leaving his back, left shoulder 9and by extension, his gnosis mark) and chest exposed to the elements. While in the city of Kenash, Tydus changes his wardrobe entirely (see Possessions), to wear garments more tailoured to the fashions and demands of the city.
Always one to avoid the weathered look pushed upon him by the winds and elements of the sea, Tydus does his utmost to preserve his face and body, and as such, his skin nor face show the weather-beaten signs of a sailor. At first glance, one might not even notice that he is Svefra, for his appearance and lighter skin dictate otherwise. However, the Tempest's eyes, accented Common and his walk will tell all who know the signs that he is indeed born of the sea.

Markings
Oceanus Mark 1: Given to all Svefra at birth.
Effect: Marked individuals can first and foremost spot Otani readily. Otani will recognize them and often seek them out to play and communicate. Individuals with one Laviku mark can also drink salt water and have the mark automatically convert it to fresh water for ocean survival. Individuals know the direction of the sea if they are on land and how far away it is (in approximate miles). They also immediately recognize where progression tide is, meaning if it is incoming or outgoing or in transition between.
Controlling Sea Creatures: Control one individual predator their size or smaller, or control multiple small animals such as schools of small fish.
Sensing Distance: Surrounding Nautical Mile.
Tydus' Oceanus gnosis usually settles upon his left shoulder and upper arm. However, Oceanus is a mark that moves upon the skin and may also appear on his back, his other arm, his chest, or upon his legs if it chooses to.
Significance: The pod tattoo of the Tempest pod, this marking holds great nostalgic significance to Tydus, as well as being the source of a significant amount of veiled regret. He wears it with pride, but does not describe what it is in detail to others unless otherwise compelled to.
Significance: This brand is the sign of approval to be Freeborn in the city of Kenash. It is on Tydus' left wrist.
