Taloba, home to the Myrians, is the thriving core of Falyndar. Inhabited by a fierce and savage tribe where blood sacrifices are normal and a way of life, they are untamed and proud of it. Warlike, and with their numbers growing, the Myrians are set on reclaiming what is rightfully theirs. [Lore]

Zuzana was not one to go to Tabola frequently, she would visit to go to the market, buy some food and look at the other wares that were offered. Zuzana was in her human shape, dressed in loose, translucent clothes with tighter undergarments covering certain parts. Her wild hair was back in a long braid, bright, colorful feathers were tied and braided into her hair.

The expression the crossed the woman's face as she walked past other Myrians, heading to the section of market that she felt like visiting: the section that sold fish. Zuzana loved fish, few things made her happier than fresh fish did. The kelvic was taller than most Myrian men, frequently towering over them, causing her to seem more imposing than she truly intended.

It only took the woman a few large steps and chimes for her to reach a stand full of fresh fish, it was in an odd place, next to a fruit and vegetable stand. Her eyes looked over the dead, slimy creatures, a small purr-like grumble formed in the back of her throat, as her lips pulled back in a smile, exposing prominent kanines.

OOCI hope you don't mind my joining. It looks like a good oppurtunity to get to know the both of you. There aren't too many people in Taloba so getting to know the active players will be nice.

Zarriiph was strolling down the streets of Taloba. Occasionally nodding to a passerby. Normally Zarriiph stayed away from the market. He wasn't very fond of large crowds.. and that was putting it lightly. As he continued walking more, and more people started gathering around him. The market wasn't crowded per say, but it certainly wasn't empty either. He had come here in search of mangoes. Deciding that traversing the jungle wasn't a good idea for just one, or two mangoes. Zarriiph found the market as a decent alternative.

As he was walking he noticed a tall, well built woman wearing a dress that was slightly translucent. Meaning that the shade of her undergarments was slightly visible. Her auburn hair was tied back in a wild braid that sported quite the variety of feathers. Zarriiph found himself watching her pass a little (or a lot) closer than, was his normal practice. Finally shaking his head, he continued walking toward where the fruit stand should be.

About 5 minutes later he came to the teller of the fruit stand. "Show me your stock of Mangoes" he said in a matter of fact tone. The merchant didn't look pleased by the inpolite bearing of his customer, but made no comment upon it. Merely showing Zarriiph where to locate the mangoes. Quickly scanning the fruit, he felt each one. Looking for the correct consistency. Finally finding one that suited his qualifications, he approached the teller, and paid his dues of 1 Bika. As he turned around to leave he saw the same woman from earlier, buying a fish. At first he wanted to dismiss her entirely, go home and stare at the wall, but decided that it wouldn't harm him to at least say hello. So he took a step, or two closer "Excuse me, but I think I've seen you before" immediately cursing his tongue. He thought about his manners... what little he had, and continued. "My name is Zarriiph, may I know your's?"

who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Corvo had decided he would take a visit to the market place today. He had no reason to actually go there but he was incredibly bored and the urge to train had hadn't hit him and simply sitting in the barracks with a bunch of other sweaty and possibly angry myrians didn’t seem like the most entertaining or smartest idea; so he would wander throughout the marketplace hoping that something interesting would happen to wander into his path and so something did. As he creeped about the marketplace, weaving in and out of the small crowds a pair had caught his eyes. Specifically the female and her semi translucent clothing, while that was the first thing he noticed it wasn’t the last thing he noticed. She was rather tall, even for a female and seemed rather imposing. There was also someone else with her. He couldn’t be bothered to pay much attention to him though when such a lovely lady had already caught his attention. Corvo watched her from a distance for the briefest of moments before deciding to engage in conversation.

He moved swiftly and gracefully striding towards the woman with every bit of confidence and then promptly fell flat on his face over an unusually tiny pebble. Did that just happen? He laid on the ground for a few more moments hoping that he would awaken from some dream induced by a bad papaya. He did not. Crap, that just happened. He scrambled to his feet; hoping that he could regain whatever amount of face he had lost, something that his gut and brain told him was a lost cause. Definitely a bad sign. He continued on with his stride towards the female while continually glancing down at the grand to scan for treacherous rocks and pebbles that seemed to be working against him this day.

When he had finally made it to the auburn haired woman words seemed to allude and ultimately damn him. "..." Nothing. He blinked. His mind was till blank. He blinked again. Still nothing. "...I hear fish aren't suppose to smell like dead fish." Damn it! Did I just say that? What type of line is that? He had once again proved himself hopeless when it came to the opposite sex, but he would not give up just yet. He could salvage this somehow. "None of these fish smell...like...well fish. I'm assuming that means they're good." You suck hard. Even the little voice in his head was mocking him now. Wonderful. "Shut up." He muttered under his breath. He officially looked and came off as a crazy person. His day could only get better from this point he hoped.

Zuzana had noticed the man at the fruit stand next to her, but took no real note of his presence, she was much too preoccupied with the thoughts of fresh fish in her stomach. Golden eyes searched over the fish, trying to pick which one looked the best, she could feel her mouth watering as she being agitated, wanting to simply grab as many as she could and chew on them.

Golden eyes shifted sharply towards the man addressing her, she looked up over, trying to figure out his physical capabilities. The Kelvic was surprised to see the man was taller than her; it was unusual for Zuzana to enter the city and even rarer for her to look up at someone else. He appeared to be a man very capable of handling himself.

The smile that had vanished as she looked away from the fish returned at she thought. Her lips pulled back over her teeth, half excitement and half challenge. "Play?" She thought to herself quickly, a playful fight was something the Kelvic enjoyed greatly, this man looked like he could handle himself, a challenge was always welcome.

Golden eyes returned to the fish as she picked one up, handing one Bika to the teller. "I don't think I've seen you before. I would remember you." Her eyes glistened at the fish. The first chance she got she would return to her tiger form and devour the small water based creature. Her attention quickly flashed back to the curious man. "Why so many questions?" Zuzana was impatient, she had no desire for idle chat, she just wanted to eat her fish, play and nap in the sun. "I just want my fish...". She gave him a quizzical look before turning away from the fish stand, noticing a man brushing himself off. Perhaps he had fallen?

"Zuzana." Her eyes remained on the man who was approaching her, she clutched her fish protectively. It was her fish, and she had no intention of sharing. At the newcomer approached she thought idly. "This is why I shouldn't come to market. By the time I get back to my tree the sun will be gone and my nap will be ruining."

His comment seemed obvious to the tiger, once the 'fishy' smell sets in the fish is no longer delicious, it is still edible (At least to Zuzana) but it is definitely not as enjoyable. Zuzana simply blinked at the awkward new comer. There was an odd sort of charm about him, in some ways, Zuz could relate, she would be just as awkward around humans if she was to try to hold a 'normal' conversation that didn't involve fish, napping and which trees made for the best claw sharpening.

After a moment of silence Zuzana held the fish in her hands up slightly. "This is a good fish. It will be quite delicious." Her words were equally as awkward, but it seemed that her inability to converse naturally was something that did not bother her.

Golden eyes sized up the shorter man as well, he also looked like he could at least hold his end of a fight decently, perhaps he could beat her even, Zarriiph also looked like he could best her. The Kelvic felt the desire to test out their abilities, her smile pulling the edges of her lips up further, exposing her long, sharp canines in greater detail. "Would you like to spar?" She asked, her eyes bouncing between the two separate men. She wouldn't be able to take the both of them at the same time, but she wouldn't mind testing her abilities as well as their own.

Zuzana found it unusual to fight in her human form, rarely was she in her womanly shape, this would be an interesting test of her human body.

The Crimson Fang

Immediately after he re-phrased his question the woman brought her face towards him. At first she was silent, and her large golden eyes burned into him. She then proceeded to explain that if she had seen him, that she would have remembered him. Taking this to mean that he cut a striking enough figure for remembrance Zarriiph smiled. “Ah, but I have certainly seen you.” he mentioned

As he was speaking he noticed a man trip over... air. Shaking his head he turned back as the woman told him her name.

Zuzana ...

Reaching forth he held out his hand. It was worn and calloused from past duels with Grith his heavy morning star. “I am pleased to meet such a beautiful woman.” he offered. Pleased by how the words rolled off of his tongue.

Zarriiph was not a man of many words, but his Aunt had beaten into his thick skull the finer points of etiquette. She had explained to him (often with pain involved) how he was to eat, drink, talk, and even approach women.

He watched in surprise as the man whom he had just seen fall, approached the fish stand. The newcomer was several inches shorter than himself, which was normal, he was also thinner than Zarriiph. But this didn't take away from his formidable air. He looked like a man who wouldn't back down, and Zarriph appreciated that. Laughing silently as he bumbled through his words. Zarriiph waited for him to cease babbling about fish so his conversation could continue.

Zuzana looked uncomfortable. She responded shortly, and with a hint of annoyance. He was about to ask the man his name when his train of thought was abruptly shattered. Zuzana had asked if he, and the newcomer would like to spar. Zarriiph thought about the question for about a half second before he answered. “I love to spar, and would gladly spend the afternoon doing so.”
“Where do you plan on holding session?”

Zarriiph rarely fought with his hands only. Finding that a combination of weapon, and body was the most effective. But he was strong, and quick. Able to either withstand, or escape strikes until he could land one of his powerful blows. “Would we be using only our bodies, or also practice weapons?”

Corvo had blinked yet again. A spar? Seriously? It wasn't exactly why he had come to talk to the woman. But was the query even directed at him? Maybe she was talking to taller and probably more desirable man next to him. He looked a good bit more experienced combat wise. Or was he? The moment Corvo heard he had preferred weapons over his fist his confidence shot up.

Corvo was no expert himself but at least he knew a thing or two about unarmed combat. Sure, weapons were important and all but they really weren't his forte. He glanced at Zarriph. He could probably take him in a spar. And then he glanced at the woman. There was something imposing about her. It was almost off putting. Almost being the key-word. Corvo was a very determined person and an intimidating form would not scare him! He knew he would be going home sore though and sore was not enjoyable.

"Bodies of course. Do you see a weapon on the woman?" Corvo said in a matter of fact manner that was followed by a quick glance at the woman's figure. A weak attempt to assert himself as the "alpha' male. He wasn't good at being alpha. He was good at being the laid back guy. He enjoyed being the laid back guy. It was a good existence. Not overly stressful unless something was trying to eat him. That was when the whole laid back thing got thrown out of the window and into a pit of molten lava. "I'd be happy to participate in a spar with such a lovely creature...though would it be for a free for all or would there be turns?" It wasn't as if he really cared. The tall male didn't worry him much...as long as a real weapon wasn't in his hands. "Oh. One last question. What type of fish is that?" He was actually curious about that. Corvo was an odd man with odd opinions. He didn't really consider fish meat. It was just fish. He believed it would compliment his fruit diet very nicely. It would also make for a nice hobby.

Stroll through the Markets (Corvo, Open)

The kelvic felt a twinge of annoyance towards Zarriph, his words were confusing to her as well as foolish. Zuzana did not see herself as memorable in her human form, she was an average human woman, sure she was a little on the tall side, but other than that, she only entered the city for nourishment when it was needed, and occasionally for protection. Her golden eyes narrowed on the tall man, moving to look at his outstretched hand, she knew what he wanted, a handshake. Her eyes lingered on his rough hand for another moment before taking his hand, gripping it with a great deal of strength.

Zuzana released Zarriph’s hand, her attention glanced to Corvo for a moment before returning to answer Zarriph’s question. “Does not matter to me. I can fight wherever either of you fight.” Her eyes glanced down to her fish, it would seem odd for her to begin chewing on it now, but it looked to delicious to the Tiger. The mention of weapons caused the woman’s lip to twitch; she hated the need humans seemed to have for tools. How is one to know that they will always have their weapon when they need it? Weapons made people weak, Zuzana was not about to be weak.

A smile crept across the Myrian Tiger’s face as Corvo spoke; while he was clumsy he at least had his head on straight. Her smile turned to Zarriph as the Kelvic began to speak again.

“No weapons that would be foolish.” Her voice seemed flat, but her golden eyes appeared excited. Most of the things Zuzana played with didn’t put up much if any fight, and she was not stupid enough to pick a fight with something that stood a chance.

The Kelvic ignored Corvo’s attempt at flirting, or flattery. “Lovely Creature” sounded flimsy and weak. Zuzana did not like to seem flimsy or weak. “One on one to start, a free for all would just get chaotic, someone would pick a side, it would not be a true test of ability then.”

Corvo’s conversation turned to the fish in her hands. To be honest, Zuzana did not know what the fish was called, but she called it “Yummy, sweet, juicy fish.” Names were given to fish for no real reason, why not tell someone what they’re getting into before they take the first bite? “Delicious.” Was her answer, a smile crossed her face, exposing her sharp canines. “One of you would lead the way to an appropriate place to fight.” Zuzana said, still smiling, clutching her fish in both hands.

The Crimson Fang

oocSorry for the short post, and for the delay. :(

We should probably jump to the combat scene as soon as possible.

Zarriiph listened with a hint of annoyance as both Zuzana, and Corvo rejected the use of weapons. In his mind a warrior can only be so good with his hands, at some point you must submit to the use of a tool. However unarmed combat had many uses, and it would help a warrior in combat. So Zarriiph decided to just go with his companions ideas for the time being. “Very well... Unarmed combat can be a fruitful enterprise for a warrior. And since neither of you seem to care where the session takes place. I suggest we go a little ways into the jungle, so that we will not have unwanted spectators.”

Zarriiphs lack of training in unarmed combat really didn’t bother him. He was physically superior to both of his companions. He knew that if could land a few good strikes that their chances of recovery were slim to none. Landing the strikes however might prove difficult...

He nodded at Zuzana's response. Yummy fish sounded good. Very good. He was definitely going to buy some next chance he had. It would probably go good with fruit. Everything was good with fruit. Except rotten fruit. Nothing could make rotten fruit good.

"The jungle you say? Very well, though I've always considered sparring a spectator sport. It livens things up a bit." He then began to march off towards the jungle not caring wether the others kept up. They would get there when they got there. He wasn't particularly eager about fighting the woman. It was obvious from her lack of an excessive amount of tattoos that she wasn't of Myrian stock. That meant a few things in Corvo's mind. The fist being that she is highly formidable and has garnished the respect of another Myrian or she is kelvic who lives in the jungle for the most part or maybe she is bonded to someone. It didn't matter much. All of his conclusions led him to believe that she had a considerable amount of combat experience which was a great deal more than Corvo. As he thought more and more about it the kelvic theory made more sense. Her seeming lack of social skills provided a bit of evidence...or she could just be an oddball like himself. Why was he even thinking about it so much? He hardly put this much thought into anything, especially women. Was he truly so fascinated?

While Corvo was busy devoting brain power to something besides fruit his feet had carried him all the way to the edges of Taloba. It had taken him a minute to realize this. Why was he all the way out here again? Something about a kelvic. Oh right, a spar with the kelvic female and that other guy. He probably should have waited for them.

The Jungle. Zuzana smiled at the thought. The Jungle was where she preferred to be; the only reason the Kelvic was in Tabola at the instant was from accompanying a man back into the city. In the jungle the kelvic could be herself, though that would grant her an unfair advantage in this instance if she were a Myrian Tiger against two Myrian men. One of which already showed his grace with a face plant. “The Jungle will work perfectly.” The woman began to walk toward the jungle, her mind happily wandering from fish to naps in the trees to the playing she would soon partake in.

“While two of us fight, one can watch, cheer if you like, or just observe.” The woman shrugged slightly as they continued to walk. Silence fell over the group as their strides quickly took them to the edge of the city; the vast Jungle lay before them. Zuzana’s usual tree was still quite a ways from their location.

The woman stepped quietly into the jungle, she walked a short ways, just enough to enjoy the shade of the large trees, and into a decent opening in the brush for fighting to occur. The Kelvic turned to the two men, as she began to spoke. “Well, who wants to go first?” She smirked, her thick canines poking out between her lips. Zuzana removed her sandals and set the shoes as well as her fish off to the side against a tree. Dirt, bugs and other debris would not ruin her fish, if anything they would add a certain zest to the slimy dinner.

Golden eyes moved to Zarriph, her smile grew slightly. “You were the first one that approached me in the market, how about it?” It was hard for the woman to hide her excitement, had she been in her other form her tail would have been rapidly twitching.
