' How is she so fast now...' What was it? That was a mystery, he should have had her then and there yet she blocked him at the last moment almost miraculously. He winced slightly as the pommel struck his wrist and instead of throwing the dirt like he had planned, he had dropped it to the earth, and it seemed she was cautious now....not out of fear but rather....as she jumped back and he looked at her, any sign of underestimation was gone from her eyes, still it wasn't like she was not going full force previously ' Is there a trick to you, Miss?' He couldn't believe her to be just holding back her strenght, no as previously stated it seemed she was going all out before. Was this magic at hand? But what kind? Was it the same one his sister practiced, or was she touched by one of the gods? Was he even correct in his assumption that it was magic and he was simply overthinking it.

It didn't matter now, all he had to do was give her back thrice what she gave him. He looked at her 'invitation' She dared him to attack but quite frankly, he wasn't that much of an idiot, a large shield and that stance of hers meant a high possibility that he wouldn't get a hit on her. He shook his head and lowered himself to a crouching position, his hands gathering up dirt and letting it trickle back down, he was looking half away but he tried to make it look like he wasn't even paying her the time of day "You're boring me Kinsman...." He noted her accent, she was sunberthian....her exciten tone told him as much. One thing about Sunberthians is that it had a lot of people who acted upon their emotions, uncontrolled ones for the most part, he wanted to play on that and infuriate her....she would either use her anger as a source of focus or let it guide her actions, a gamble really but he was hoping for her anger to win control " Have I frightened you that much? I bet a woman like you only picked up a blade because you thought yourself a man" Kreig hurt himself with the last words, in truth he had an immense respect for women but he needed a trigger and usually female warriors hated to be thought of as inferior to men.

[Fighter's Pit] Under the Moonlight's Gaze (Revy)

Postby Revy Hiroe on March 7th, 2014, 9:03 pm

Oh? This guy was actually being smart right now. It seemed as if he wasn't paying attention, but no experienced warrior would expose himself like that. Nah, he had to have a plan up his sleeve. She just had to make sure not to fall for it. Yet his words... oh god how irritating they were. She thinking of herself as a man? Could she be any more disgusted by that? Men were pigs. Filthy pigs thinking with nothing but that thing dangling between their legs. She had seen it too many times, men trying to get her into their bed. No, she didn't think of herself as a man. She just used this blade because it was the only thing she knew.

"You speak of me as if I am a kinsman. Let me tell you that I am absolutely disgusted with that shykehole called Sunberth. I don't want to be called in one sentence with that... ugh.", she said calmly. Despite being angry, she kept her voice calm. Right now that was going to win the fight. "Also, you say that I think of myself of as a man. Let me tell you that I wouldn't even cry a single tear if all the men in this world were to vanish. In fact, I'd help the people who would do it."

Though she was staying calm and collected, she couldn't wait all the time. She was an impatient woman, but she wasn't suicidal. So she slowly slid her feet towards Kreig, trying to hide it as much as possible by doing it slowly, very very slowly. "Myri, bless my sword so it may find it's target. Let my anger be my arrow against my foe. This battle is in honor of you.", she said out loud. "What ever your name is... kid, don't think you can win against me. Because I don't intend on losing."

Kreig just had to smirk, he didn't move one inch from his, repeating the motion of picking up dirt and letting it trickle to the ground. She wasn't taking the bait, that much was obvious, she'd soon through him....but he heard her irritation, especially her disgust with the word 'Kinsman' ' So, you indeed are a kinsman from Sunberth...that makes it easier for me' Yes, as calm as her voice was her distaste was loud and clear. He raised his head up lightly as he heard her words... 'So...A warrior of Myri, does this mean she'd been blessed by her? It would certainly explain a lot'' Yes, just by acting like this he was getting to know here more and more.

He lowered his again, however he still had a partial view of her, and my was he surprised to see that the position of her leg was a bit forward. He silently chuckled at that, he just needed to keep talking "Hate it or love it, that still makes you a kinsman. After all, how many people there claim to hate it? Perhaps you are some reject of the city who left because they couldn't quite cut it with its gang politics? Not even as a amercenary I'm guessing? If so then you must be the filth they step on with the sole of their boots and up and left because it was easier in the outside world" Yes, he just needed to keep talking, his view on her feet "Not that I am one to talk, but then again, I was chased out....did they chase you out too? At least then you'd have some dignity" Once she had gotten closer or lost her cool, he'd toss up the dirt in the air. There was no true purpose to that but to distacts her as he would then lunge forward, push away her sword and shield, then slam his head into her chin as he raised himself up.

Yes, he just needed her to be a bit more closer or a bit more irriated....then he would strike.

[Fighter's Pit] Under the Moonlight's Gaze (Revy)

Postby Revy Hiroe on March 10th, 2014, 10:45 am

This guy absolutely didn't realize that his words didn't have any effect on her. At least not these type of words. If he wanted to get her pissed off, he'd have to start talking about other stuff. Oh well, let's keep him entertained and make him believe that his words were starting to affect Revy. "You should really stop your nonsense spouting, before I lob off your head.", she said angered, or well that's how it sounded. She had to get him to open himself up to an attack.

Right now it wasn't smart to move in anymore. She knew that if she was to get any closer, he'd be able to hit her with a sand attack if he wanted to. No, she had to maintain this distance for now. "You a reject? I can certainly see why. You seem to be all talk and no brawn. Are you sure that you're a guy? Maybe they kicked you out because of that attitude. I certainly would have.", she taunted him. While taunting, her brain was wracking itself over the possible scenarios she could follow. One was where she charged in and in return blinded most likely. No not an option. What could she do in this situation?

She kept thinking and then noticed that this guy would most likely only be able to see her feet. Maybe she could lure him into attacking by shifting her position. So, she stood up straight, feet next to each other, seemingly nonchalant. However, she was readying herself to lob that shield onto the guy's unsuspecting head. She let her arm slide out of the straps on the inside of the shield and just held it at the strap. It seemed as if it was still properly on her arm. If the guy decided to attack, she'd throw her shield at him and dash after it right away, grabbing her longsword with two hands and cut up diagonally from her right side. She wasn't aiming like it was a spar anymore, but a true fight to the death.

Not going the eay I planned He thought. Words were ineffectual...at least the ones he chose to spout, her words were was just as ineffectual as he simply grinned and watched her legs....she was moving, her legs were shifting to a standing position. Something was off about that....casual actually, she lifted his head up and saw what he saw; she took off her shield and tossed it at him "Shyke" He illicited as he rolled to the side and stood up, raising thre back of his left arm to block her upward swing , at the same time he brought back his right and launched forward for a dtraight punch aimed at her face... The studs on his guantlets giving off a wicked gleam.

"You're good" He complimented.

[Fighter's Pit] Under the Moonlight's Gaze (Revy)

Postby Revy Hiroe on March 12th, 2014, 9:45 am

Revy's sight didn't have any color anymore, nor did she hear any of the sounds except her own breathing. Right now she was in her hyper-focused state. She had to finish this fight right here and now. Mainly because she was just fed up with this guy. She had enough of seeing his face, enough of hearing his voice. Enough of the idea of fighting him. It was fun, but... he was just fighting far too passively.

Because she was this focused, she saw the intent of the man wanting to punch her. Due to this she could dodge it by moving her head to the right, though only barely. The punch did create an undeep cut in her cheek, yet she didn't feel it. Instead, she didn't stop moving forward and just smashed her shoulder into his stomach. If it weren't for the steel in between, most likely he would've lost his breath due to the impact.

Depending on if she knocked him right off his socks or not, she'd either slam her foot onto his chest and put the tip of her sword to his throat. Otherwise she'd let her left hand slip off the sword and with a low uppercut send it into his private parts, no matter how much she disliked touching a man any where near that area.

Kreig let out a gasp as her shoulder plate struck his stomach, it didn't hurt...not really, but the impact did push him to the ground. He grinned at that, he still had to move....when her leg came to try and step on his chest to pin him down, he threw his left fist to knock the leg away and the right to knock away her sword, then he launched himself upwards as he pulled back his fists and aimed for her abdomen. He wouldn't stop there however, no.....he had to overwhelm her....the problem was however, was that she was faster now....so he had to make every punch forceful. He threw his fists forcefully and wildy, his punches clear with the intent of using the impact created to interrupt her movement. He would even throw in some knee strikes for added measure.

His blood was boiling and he was enjoying it, adrenaline coursed through his veins and there was a look on his face that could be equated to a child on the most intense of sugar rushes. He was going to push through his limits, put his body at risk he demanded more force from his body. He would but her if she tried to get too close or the oppertunity presented itself. But he couldn't keep this up forever, the adrenaline rush would eventually go and if it does then any excessive force would come back to bite him in the arse.

Yes, he just had to keep her busy, let the impact do all the work, impact was his friend at the moment and he would use it to force her body to feel the strain 'Just let me have my fun, miss' Still....all plans could change, and Kreig would adapt to that, if endlessly rushing her would not work then he'd just have to be focused and time his attacks appropriately, he would aim for the joints if possible, the hardest targets to aim for...but the easiest to damage with his studded gauntlets and his powerful fists. He might break a bone or two of hers, he might break his own bones perhaps as well....but that was the cost of a good fight after all

' No pain, no gain'

[Fighter's Pit] Under the Moonlight's Gaze (Revy)

Postby Revy Hiroe on April 2nd, 2014, 2:17 pm

The woman thought she had him beaten now. She thought that it was over and she could go back to her regular training, however.... he seemed to at least be fast enough to punch her weapon and foot away. It left her in a position in which it was rather hard to keep one's balance. Now if she had gotten the time, she could've balanced herself to intercept Kreig's attack, but he didn't seem to give her that. The only thing she could do was at least try to lessen the impact as much as possible by jumping backwards, no matter how awkward it looked.

The impact wasn't nearly as effective as the man could've hoped. In fact, Revy barely felt anything more then a thud. Due to the distance this created, she could keep backing away, avoiding most of the blows and those that did connect, did no more then graze her. However, she felt her endurance drain more and more, the longer she kept her focus up like this. She had to finish this fast.

An opportunity presented itself as the man threw another rather wild swing. Didn't he realize that it didn't matter how much force he had, he wasn't going to hit her like that? Well, it was time to make him pay for his carelessness. She let the blow slip past her chest and instead of using her blade, she hooked her arm around the guys neck, trying to rob him of air for just a split second. While it didn't have much strength behind it, it was rather fast. There could be just two options here; A, he went down and wuold receive the tip of her greaves against his holy parts. Or B, he kept standing and would receive her kneecap to his nuts. Another outcome wasn't possible, or at least not for the woman.

'Petch her.....' Kreig thought as he looked at her as she evaded his attacks, once or twice he thought he had her but quite frankly it seemed he didn't, his gauntlets, no matter what their natural weight was with the studs...no matter his own skills and his abilities..... it seemed he could never truly damage her. At least it seemed she was feeling the effects, but even those did not satisfy him. Kreig was by no means a great warrior, he was just a warrior. He expected his attacks to do more than just wear her down, even with armor and her jumping back, he expected his already intimidating punches to cause more damage as he the weight of his studded gauntlets could break stone if used by a regular person, and Kreig was very proud of his punches....yet it seemed they did shyke against her.

"...This isn't fun" He mumbled as his fist flew past her chest, then suddenly he found that instead of a blade coming to him, it was an arm coming for his throat as it struck his neck and robbed him of his breath briefly, the unexpected impact to his neck nearly toppled him over. What little adrenaline he had left was used to just keep him standing, and in that breif instant....his eyes caught the opening needed, the oppening he thought he finally had to bring back joy to his fight as his right arm wrapped behind her head and pushed the woman forward and wrapped itself around his head, his left hand locking around the fist of his right to try and keep the hold. He didn't know it was tight enough, he didn't even know if it was good hold....but by the gods at this moment he did NOT want to lose a fight that made him lose joy for even a moment.

[Fighter's Pit] Under the Moonlight's Gaze (Revy)

Postby Revy Hiroe on April 28th, 2014, 3:36 pm

Great, she managed to land her attacks, however it wasn't nearly enough to topple him. No, in fact it wasn't even enough to prevent a counter attack. Now she had her head in a vice, not much room to maneuver, nor any way of countering this. How was she gonna save herself from this? The worst part was, was that she was nearly out of breath too. If she was gonna win this fight, she had better do it very quickly or she wouldn't have the breath for it anymore.

She tried to quickly judge the situation. She still had her sword in her hand, however in this position it was nearly useless. Her head was held in a vice and to be honest, she was starting to develope a headache due to the pressure. She couldn't kick him and she knew that she couldn't overpower him either. He had too much darn physical strength for it. The situation seriously didn't look good at the moment.

And then she thought of a way to win it, though it relied on him wanting to protect his jewels. She slowly raised the tip of her sword, making sure it was out of his sight, up until the tip touched his groin. Only then would she say: "Let go, I ain't warning you again. I'd rather not do something that could get you killed, but then you'd better give up right now." Her tone was cold, calculated and dead serious. No way in hell was he gonna be unfased by that, or so Revy thought.
